Rating: Summary: Great Book! Review: This book is the best I've seen in a long time. It's like a jigsaw puzzle, only you REALLY have to pay attention. You absolutly MUST read "Holes" if you want mystery, adventure and humor. Best of all, if you don't understand some part, the last "part" explains everything. Read it!
Rating: Summary: Better than Harry Potter 1 and 2 Review: This book is the best! I definetly reccomend to 3rd grade and up. It is about a boy who was charged guilty of a crime and has a choice between jail and Camp Green lake. He chose the camp but he chose wrong. They have to dig HUGE holes in the hot sun and only get a little water. It is a very descriptive and well written book. I read it a day because it is very hanging. This book I like I said is in my oppionon better than Harry Potter 1 and 2. If you liked Harry Potter you will love this! Read it! The bad part about the book is that I think this book has some sad parts but a book that can change your emotion must be well written. I love this book!
Rating: Summary: Wonderful,Best Book...Deserves a 10 star! Review: This book is the most deserving book of the Newberry Award yet.Louis Sachar weaves a tale that intertwines with the past and I,personally, was up till almost 3 in the morning reading. This is right up there with the Harry Potter books.I am a book-worm and have probably read....so many books I cant even guess.4 sure this ranks in my top 10s of all time.

Rating: Summary: What a phenomenal book!!!!!! Review: This book is truly an amazing book. I suggest if you read it you should be at least 10 years old because somethings are hard to understand. Holes is a story within a story within a story. If you read this book you will see what I mean. Holes is very symbolic and includes curses, an amazing friendship, and generations of wonder. If you read it you will quickly become friends with Caveman, Zero, Zigzag, and Armpit. This is a must read!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Unique Review: This book is unlike any other children's book I've ever read. The plot and the characters draw you in---you'll find yourself reading this in one sitting. You can actually feel the heat in Camp Green Lake and the thirst you get from digging holes all day in the hot sun. The characters are incredibly distinct and you discover, as Stanley does, how you can never really depend on anyone else (and yet how we all need one another). There are no light moments in this book but it's not a depressing book. Buy it and you won't regret it!
Rating: Summary: Terrible Review: THis book is very bad. It stunk up my whole room while I read it.Louis Sachar USED to be good.
Rating: Summary: Stanley's curse. BY:Danielle and Heather. Review: This book is very exciting. This book starts out very intense with a young boy getting sent to a boy's camp for stealing a baseball star's shoes. At this camp Stanley has to dig one hole everyday. As the story goes on it keeps going back into the past talking about how a gypsy put a curse on a town. Onion Sam, a black man ,falls in love with a white women named Kathrine. This caused many conflicts in this town. Stanley's grandfather made it very hard on him. There are many imporant lessons in life that you should learn. The three lessons that I picked were not to steal, never give up, and life is hard. The first thing teaches you not to steal. Zero doesn't demonstrate that skill well thoroughout this book. The second thing is never give up. Zero and Stanley never give up when they were trying to find refuge. The last thing is life is hard. Life doesn't treat the people well in this book but they get over it. Although there were a lot of lessons in this book the three I picked were not to steal, never give up, and life is hard. This book is very exciting and interesting. I would recommend to read this book if you want an adventure.
