Rating: 5 stars
Summary: American citizen
Review: Finally some honesty out of Washinton D.C. This is something we have been lacking in the White House for about 2 years and 5 months, but then who is counting.
Thank you Hillary and keep fighting for America. We love you.

Summary: A Truly Great Work of Fiction
Review: After reading this book, you have to come to one of two conclusions: either Hillary Clinton is one of the stupidest women to ever say "I do," or one of the most ruthless, conniving, unscrupulous characters to ever enter the American political scene. This is purely one more piece in a littany of revisionist history that the Left tries to cram down our throat daily. I confess, when I bought this book, I was expecting dishonesty from her. She exceeded all of my expectations. Anyone who puts even a shred of belief in this woman's story is simply one of the hordes of useful idiots that the Clinton's have relied on to remain in power. Before reading this book, I though Hillary was a bad apple. Now I believe she is downright sinister. Next to her, Bill comes off as a youthful prankster. Perhaps if the publishing and political thing doesn't work out, she can go to work for Oliver Stone revising history in scripts for his movies.

Summary: Revisionist history at it's finest.
Review: This woman is one of the greatest spin doctors of all time. Maybe she should issue an apology in her book for blaming the "vast right wing conspiracy" rather than her own cheating husband for the tarnished image of a failed presidency.

Summary: Too Many Issues Unanswered or Not Mentioned
Review: Her book leaves much to be desired. I had some question back then I thought she could clarify for me. But she didn't. Why didn't she mention all the other woman in Bill's life? Gen. Flowers, Juanita,(the rape) Paula Jones and the "gift", K. Willey the staffer, and the L. Tripp tapes etc...? Why didn't she mention the Ken Starr investigation into her Whitewater scandal? She didn't she mention the pardons Clinton gave at the end of his term? There were so many personal things missing from her book... like her daughter's reactions and her realtionship with her...Why did she stay with him and not have him seek counciling? Her book actually created and avoided more answers than it gave. The answers given were short clips rather than good explaination. After reading her reaction about Monica, I was dumbfounded and strongly doubted she was telling the truth, which made the rest of the book seem like a farse and unbelievable. At that point, the reason for writing the book became apparent to me. She is not trying to present her side and answer the questions America has for her. She is vying for the White House and this is a fictional story she had someone else write meant to raise funds and moral support toward that goal. I feel like such a sucker for having bought her book.... and her lies.

I saw her interview with B. Walters hoping for better answers.... all I can say is... it wasn't a "private matter"... the whole world knew...now please, just answer the questions!!!!

Summary: well written? Who wrote it?
Review: I found this book to be in the "fiction" catagory. No substance, all style, and what the "author" thinks the liberal left would like to read. It was painful to get through. From the few positive reviews and the reviewers' other recommendations, it seems to have worked!

I found the "well written" comments interesting. The grammer and style is OK, but Hillary certainly didn't WRITE this.

Save your money.

Summary: Another money grab
Review: A friend at work got this book yesterday, so I borrowed it over lunch today while he was in a meeting, and read (suffered through) a few dozen pages...

If you like watching (over and over for many hours) home movies of the prior day, you'll like this book.

If you like watching paint dry, you'll like this book.

If you enjoy putting up a folding chair and watching an ADD kid run around in circles for 8 hours, you'll like this book.

If you enjoy reality, you'll NOT like this book.

Already, much of this book has already been disproven by "friends" of the Clintons (who have later said that, "when you read [x] from me, and [y] from Hillary, there's no inconsistency there!" in a feeble attempt to cow-tow to the junior senator (not only in years of service, but also in moral stance) from New York.

80% of what I read in this book could easily be guessed by anyone familiar with the patterns of the Clintons. 10% is so shockingly laughable that Rush Limbaugh himself wouldn't have believed it possible to say (with a straight face) prior to publication. The other 10% is a wild tangent of veiled anger at all things not Hillary. (but doesn't she just look so cute on the cover?)

And that's all the difference. She LOOKS like she cares, which is all it takes to win over a number of the electorate.

Which is why Martha Stewart is being raked over the coals of public scorn, while Hillary (who made 630% profit overnight, and 10000% in 10 months on animal futures, all while lying about the information she was getting, and destroying documentation detailing any unethical ties involved) is not.

She's counting on the public to be uninformed about facts, and to rather be convinced by her commentary... because she says so. (learning from her husband's administration, that if I say something convincingly - even in the face of irrefutable facts - many in the public will believe it, since they're too busy watching soap operas to care about the news).

She's great at conning the public, now a big welcome to the folks at Simon & Schuster... she just added you to the fold...at the tune of $8 million-plus.

Summary: So then why did she hire a private eye?
Review: OK. She knew nothing about Bill's womanizing. If that is true then why did she hire Maggie Williams to remove him from off limits bedrooms? And why did she hire Paladino, the detective to watch the President?

This from the woman who used Tyson Chicken's commodity Broker to help her make $100,000 in Cattle, getting her broker statements done by typewriter, rather than computer. She quit when the amount of the bribe was filled. Anybody else that smart would have kept on trading.

Summary: Fact or Fiction
Review: Whether you love or hate; defend or condemn the Clintons, there is one thing for sure: they can still bring passionate debate on issues like whether or not the President has a right to privacy or not for example. Mrs Clinton was put in a tough position during those years or was the position she found herself of her own making? That is just another debate waiting to happen. Go away? No way...President Clinton's book is due out next year I believe.

I read this book as I would any other political novel (fiction or non-fiction). There were parts of this book I felt were quite plausible and other parts, I had my doubts about the honesty. So as long as you read this book knowing that there is an agenda, you probably won't start mumbling to yourself and develop book rage. What I find interesting is that the Clinton critics are buying the books. One note, if you don't want to add to the reported income of the book sales, buy the book used, check it out from the library, or borrow a copy--I did...lol

Summary: One woman's story
Review: In regards to Hillary, it is apparent that people either love her or hate her. Anyone writing a memoir always tilts it in his or her favor, right, wrong or indifferent, from reading this book each person will come away with a different perspective.

I read the story of a woman who came from the middle class, like most of us and wanted more - wanted to do something substantial with her life. The paths that her life and career followed are here and the people she met along the way.

Expressed eloquently is the love for her family, husband and most importantly her daughter. The book describes her commitments and her sacrifices for her family.

The book contains two sections of black and white photographs through out the years - from childhood to adulthood.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A book well worth reading
Review: I could hardly put the book down. It's a history of her life growing up in surburban Illinois, her journey to the White House, and her life with Bill Clinton. This isn't one of those political hate books like the republicans are known to put out. Find out what really happened behind the walls of the White House, and the accomplishments made. A book well worth reading.
