Summary: Political Polarization
Review: The reviews are typical of our society today. You'll notice most are 1 or 5 stars and every one of you is responsible for the degradation of political discourse today. Not the politicians - you. The politicians only sell what the public buys within their own ideological framework. And the politicians and talk shows sell the American political equivalent of the Roman games. And we buy it. I haven't read the book yet but you can be sure I will read it with the intent of learning something and then make a judgment. Our national discourse and ability to judge objectively is deteriorating to the point it is nonexistent and people like you are prime examples. Who among you has actually read that loooong book so shortly after it was published? None.

You with your inability to think for yourselves and reason responsibly are what is ruining America. Not Democrats, not Republicans, but you.

Summary: If you are considering divorce consider reading this
Review: This is a well written book with very good descriptions about the lives of Clintons. If you are interested in some of the political and family incidents happened during Monica Lewinsky episode this is the book to read.
Hillary Clinton explained very well about how she coped up with the mental stress, political pressure during that time, and how she struggled to save the marriage.
Kudos to Clintons for succeeding in keeping presidency and marriage, and running the US government without derailment of any major factors. I still think the economy and peoples lives were at their best during Clinton's era.

Summary: Book Reviews Shouldn't be Political
Review: It's a sad day on Amazon when book reviews become a forum for political grandstanding. "Living History" is a well written first person account of one woman's opinion about having been center stage for eight prosperous, tumultuous and, indeed, interesting American years. Great family photographs, too. A short and good autobiographical history. Mrs. Clinton's book will absolutely, positively and unequivocally outlive her political adversaries.

Summary: Living Fairy Tales
Review: If you're looking to waste [$$] dollars, this book is for you! Not only does it contradict Sid Blumenthal's book (not that his book is any more truthful), but fails to address any real issues. Travel Gate, Rose Law Firm's billing record's, Paula Jones, and other scandals are neatly left out. Instead, this book is fill with tripe, insults, and delusional fiction in attempt to persuade the reader that Hillary should be President of the United States.

Summary: Hillary Clinton's Campaign Book
Review: There is much speculation that Hillary will run for the office of the presidency in 2008. She is one of the most talked-about women in American politics and culture. She is extremely poised, intelligent, calculating, and controversial. Polls suggest that about half of America likes her and that she would win the Democratic nomination should she choose to run as early as 2004.

This book is basically a tell-all of her life. In typical political fashion, her unstated goal is to convince us how formidable she is as a public persona. She portrays herself as a heartfelt and independent liberal (who grew up with a republican father and even campaigned for Goldwater). She portrays herself as an American, who grew up in Park Ridge, IL, went to school at Wellesley, and attended Yale Law School. She portrays herself as a hard-working, strong woman who can get the job done, whatever it may be. She staunchly defends her husband's policies in the White House, and attacks the opposition for their attempts to "undermine" his presidency. She portrays herself as a kind, sympathetic woman who cares about the problems of the average family, who is a good mother, who loves her husband despite their major marital problems.

The press just couldn't get their hands off the Lewinski scandal excerpts when they were leaked prior to the book's release. There is criticism that Hillary is being less than honest about when and how she found out about the affair. They say there is no way Hillary could be so oblivious to Bill's infidelities considering that "the whole world knew what was going on", to paraphrase Pat Buchanan, and considering all the rumors surrounding Paula Jones, Gennifer Flowers, etc.

There is no doubt that a certain population will never embrace Hillary Clinton as a public figure no matter what. And those people are republicans. But, if any democrat can rally the base, fundraise, and elicit attention for upcoming elections, it is Hillary. This book and its surrounding publicity certainly can't hurt her getting started on the campaign trail.

Summary: an inspiration for women around the world
Review: this book is very good. she talks about her life as a child, her family, when she met Bill, her role as a woman back in those days. she totally inspired and motivated me as a woman to succeed and fight for what i believe and follow my dreams, great for those of you who like to get involved in other people's lives

Summary: A more apt title: Rewriting History
Review: With her newest bound infomercial, (still trying to get us to forget about past years models and buy into this year's Hillary) the former first lady bobs and weaves (as usual) in this "tell-all" from Simon and Schuster.

Just how did this handbook of "pay-no-attention-to-that-co-conspirator-behind-the-curtain" make it onto the non-fiction
list?

A dull read, an old and tired story, it sheds light on nothing.
Save your time and just vote for Hillary when the time comes.
That's what this book is really all about.

Summary: "I was shocked, shocked I say......
Review: to find that my husband was having an affair with Monica Lewinsky!!" Oh please give me a break. Hillary Clinton continues her unabashed assault on the intelligence of America. I can't believe that people would actually part with their hard-earned bucks to read this junk. I flipped through it at the bookstore just to see what it was all about and when I came to the part about her "breathless anger and wanting to wring Bill's neck" upon his admission of his affair with Lewinsky, that was enough for me.

This is a dressed up campaign brochure for Hillary Clinton's inevitable run for the White House. Oh! But wait! She says in the book she has absolutely "no interest" in becoming President of the United States. Seems she said the same thing about becoming a United States Senator from New York.

The trouble is, this woman says many things and most all of them are lies. Save your money.

Summary: Hillary's Village Raises An Idiot
Review: I had to stop every few pages to remember that this "Fluff and Dry" political re-hab job is supposedly based on Ms. Clinton's recollections. If she actually expects us to believe this romanticized nonsense, it can only be because she trusts her writing team's ability to portray her as both a victim and a savvy politician worthy of running the United States. This is far beyond a re-writing her "Living History" - it's softcore brainwashing. If you want more veracity, go directly to Harry Potter. My 1-star rating is for imagination and cover art airbrushing.

Summary: Living History
Review: Get real. Read Hell to Pay by Barbara Olson, High Crimes and Misdemeanors by Ann Coulton or Dereliction of Duty by Robert Patterson. Then decide for yourself if you want to read Hillary's fictional book.
