Summary: Pretty Good!
Review: Although this book was in the Adult Section. I checked it out anyway. This book seemed to be a pornography book. When I read through, but in a way it wasn't. I believe the title was not well suited for the book. Lethal was okay by this book has nothing to do with seduction. This book was so mind-toppling with different personalities. Some characters were so put into life that it was quite funny. They seem to be the same person except for their issues and sexuality. Like Jamie's husband Peter which by surprise something happens that I won't mention. This book was not sought out as well. Their was to much profanity in there. The book seemed to surprise you, but in a way bore you because that word is found in their quite a few times. I would like to read another though!

Summary: Lethal Seduction
Review: Good thing is one of my favorite Jackie Collins characters, Madison is back. Bad thing is Ms. Collins seems to write about the same thing over and over again she's getting like Mary Higgins Clark, once you've read one you've read them all. Why can't she be more original like Sidney Sheldon? I'm sick of these stereotypical Hollywood type characters. I absolutely hated what they did with Madison's character! She was so boring in this book! And where did heck the this Jamie person come from? (Who is so unrealistically god's gift to all men)She wasn't in the L.A. Connections series nor mentioned. In L.A connections it was said that Madison and Natalie were best friends, no mention of Jamie at all. Despite all of this, the subplot, with Rosarita and Dexter makes this book worth reading! She might have been a witch, but she was a strong woman who knew what she wanted. I felt sorry for Dexter at first since she was trying to kill him, but then I was rooting her on after he cheated on her with his aging co-star, and tried to get her pregnant on purpose. Where did heck did that Gem person come from anyway?! The parts she was in she was boring! Rosarita's family is interesting expect for her sister. Her dad and his girlfriend were very interesting to read about. Joel Blaine is a jerk, who will mess around with anything in a skirt as long as he has an audience. So in conclusion, I recommend this book but only if you skip the Madison parts and go to parts with Rosarita, Dexter and their families.

Summary: What happened to Ms. Collins?
Review: I have read all her books, this one just does not have that spice as all the others.

Is she loosing her touch?

Summary: May have taken 1 day to write
Review: Well, I have a secret guilty reading pleasure and it's Jackie Collins, especially during stressful times. BUT as much as I've enjoyed other books, the "Lucky" ones in particular, I frankly thought this one...[stunk]!!! I'm no prude (I don't think a prude would read more than one of Collins' books!) but this is 90% filler, with honestly boring sex chatter. Also WAY, WAY too many passages with things like "Madison ate a salad for dinner. Then she took the dog for a walk. Then she returned 16 phone messages, first from ..., then from...," You get the idea? This whole annoying story could have been told in about 30 pages. Irritating, trashy, abrasive characters dominate the "story." Yeah the paperback is cheap, but if I'd known, I would not have bothered spending even a few dollars at the grocery store on this. I'm just annoyed that I wasted a few hours getting through it waiting for it to get better, which it didn't.

Summary: Truly terrible
Review: I was looking for a good "trashy" book to read- this most definitely is not it. I was appalled by the numerous Writing 101 mistakes Ms. Collins continues to make: outrageous, simplistic stereotyping at every turn; lack of any suspense whatsoever, and so on. I could figure out what her cardboard characters were going to do long before the author "revealed" it. Like "Hollywood Wives" (which I also bought for [price]), here's another complete time waster. However, it is good for a laugh...

Summary: I really liked this book.
Review: I recently saw this book in hardback at ... for $.... Let's just get something straight Jackie Collins doesn't belong on the bargain bin. I am so sick and tired of people saying she has no talent. She is one of the most talented writers ever. There are very few authors that have you reading until 3 A.M.. in the morning. This book is no different. This was her best reviewed book ever by the critics. The fans can be much harsher. I don't see why, she was pratically thanking us for our years of commitment. Kris Phoenix, Silver Anderson, and Lucky (just a little tease) all make an appearance in the book. This book was hilarious. Ms. Collins is just so witty and funny (Dick Cockranger). The sequel, Deadly Embrace, will be out in the summer of 2002. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!

Summary: The return of Madison Castelli
Review: Jackie Collins introduced Madison in her series of "La Connection" books. Lethal Seduction puts Madison in the spot light, with her search for the truth about her father and his past. What prompts her search is the death/murder of her mother, Stella, but she learns that Stella was not really her biological mother. So we have a story line that has Madison in search of her roots, and she learns a lot about her father, things she really did not want to know.

Another minor story line has Madison trying to get over a relationship and is trying to start a new one (with Jake Sica, who was also introduced in the "LA connection" series). Along this storyline is interwoven another subplot, that of best friend Jamie Nova and her relationship with her husband. Jamie finds out something that upsets her, and seeks to find revenge against her husband. I have to say this story line wasn't realy resolved, but I'm guessing it'll turn up in another Jackie Collins novel.

I think the best new character in this book, however, was Rosarita, who was scheming through the entire book to have her famous husband (soap opera star Dexter Falcon) killed. she's outrageous and crazy and a bitch! I think only Jackie Collins knows how to write these smutty books and keeps her readers entertained, wanting more.

I gave this book only 4 stars, mainly because I felt the book needed more structure and there were too many unanswered questions at the end of the book. My guess is that Ms Collins either lost interest, or plans on continuing all the storylines in her next Madison Castelli book.

Summary: Fantastic Book
Review: I bought this book while vacationing and once I started it I read it in two afternoons. I haven't read any Jackie Collins before but after reading Lethal Seductions I am hooked! What a fabulous book!

Summary: Huh?
Review: Normally I like Ms. Collins' work, but I don't understand where this one was coming from.

There was no sense of closure when you finished reading the book. Tons of questions were left flapping in the breeze. If she wanted to leave it open for a sequel, that's fine...but it was left *too* open-ended, which just left me wondering why I'd invested two days in reading this book, rather than anticipating the next installment. Did Ms. Collins have an appointment or something? Because she sure seemed to rush into her ending without resolving anything.

I also don't understand how the two stories fit together. The first 2/3 of the book was spent alternating back and forth between Madison and Rosarita's stories. However, in the end, I couldn't find anything to tie the two together, other than the fact that they all happened to be out in Vegas for the same prizefight. If the two stories were going to be kept separate with only the tiniest of ties (i.e. Dexter being the jogger Madison sees whenever she walks her dog, Rosarita sitting across the aisle from Jamie on the plane to Vegas), then I'm not sure why Ms. Collins didn't just write two separate novels.

I do hope there's another one so that maybe we can find out what was really going on in this one...but I'm not holding my breath.

Summary: Exceptional Book
Review: This was my first Jackie Collins novel, and I was impressed. I am now gathering all of her books to read.
