Rating: Summary: This Is The Worst Yet Review: I am an avid reader of JC and I always love all of her books. However, this one didnt quite do it for me. I found it to be exciting at the beginning then like a lot of people, I found the ending to be rushed with definately *unfinished business*. I was most disapointed with this one and all I can say is that I hope there will be a sequel to this, if only to put some of the plots and characters into a better perspective.
Rating: Summary: Not quite lethal Review: This is a typical Jackie Collins' novel and I love Jackie's novel, so I did enjoyed this book. I was a little disappointed at the end because I feel like there are still questions that did not get answered. I guess that just mean that she got another one coming. This is a good book, it will have you turning the pages quickly, to see what's next. I kind of enjoyed seeing what Rosarita got in the end, she deserved it. Good book, you will enjoy it, not so strong story line but what can you say, this is Jackie Collins.
Rating: Summary: Not a Collins Best Review: Madison Castelli is one of the main female characters in the book. She's no Lucky Santangelo that's for sure, but she's a good character. She's beautiful, of course, so I couldn't understand why she was hanging on to grief about her ex-lover having walked out on her for another woman...two years ago. Madison's best friend, Jamie Nova, finds out that her perfect husband is cheating on her in the most devious manner. Rosarita Falcon is the bitchiest character I've come across in a long time. She is unhappily married to a handsome but unsuccessful soap opera star, Dexter, whose real name is Dick Cockranger can you believe it? too funny. Rosarita is having a torrid affair with Joel Blaine, public sex fanatic and son of billionaire Leon Blaine. Rosarita asks her father to kill her husband, Dexter, since she believes her father is in the mob. We never do actually learn if he is in the mob or not. ... Not the best of Collins, but a fun read nonetheless.
Rating: Summary: WHEW! HOT HOT HOT! Review: I am a BIG JC fan! I have read every book she has ever written and this is one of her best, in my opinion. Madison Castelli is a great charcter, along with her best friend Jamie. I am really glad that Madison and Jake finally hit it off in this book. AND what a romance it is...... As usual, JC leaves you clinging to your seat. I found myself, a few times skimming forward, trying to get a peek at was was going to happen next. Then I would stop myself. Didn't want to ruin it. Really, read this book. It IS a page turner, and the ending.....I won't ruin it for you. BUT it leaves you breathless and wanting MORE MORE MORE!
Rating: Summary: Page Turner Review: She's back. Jackie Collins has been one of my favorites for nearly 30 years (since The Stud). I rated this a 4star because -I rate everything by her best work - CHANCES. The main character, Madison, and her friends were very interesting and live that fast paced life among the powerful, rich and famous, want-to-be-famous. She does the dark side of the new characters well (sex, drugs, rock n' roll) and she ties up everything in the last chapters - just the way I love it. This book was Fun, Fast and a Quick Read! There were two characters that I know she is going to do books just about them - SHE HAS TO! (oops, did I sound like Kathy Bates?) I cannot give the names away - I cannot spoil it for those who haven't read it. Don't wait for paperback - this is goooood. I'm left wanting more - there should be a prequel!!!! (I hope you read this Jackie ... I love you!!!Thanks!)
Rating: Summary: A Big Disappointment Review: As an avid Collins fan, I was very disappointed in her most recent book. First, she made no effort to keep us interested by fully developing her characters. Half the fun is figuring out how all the people fit together, which normally culminates in a spectacular and shocking conclusion. At the end, I felt cheated and annoyed that I spent the money on a hardcover edition, which I usually do because I can't wait for her paperbacks. No suspense, no surprises . . . she has officially written her first dud. My advice is to wait for the paperback if your purchase this book at all.
Rating: Summary: Disappointment Reigned Supreme Review: I have read all of Jackie COllins books to date and usually love them. I mean I would stay up until the wee hours of the morning to finish her books. With that said I have to say that I am very diappointed with this book. It was liek she was trying to hurry it along. She didn't expand on the relationship between Madison and Michael. Where is the author that wrote the Lucky Santangelo novels. That was great writing! Eve her last book Dangerous Kiss was kind of bad. Oh well I am glad that I borrowed it from the library instead of buying it.
Rating: Summary: Best Jackie Collins effort in a while Review: I have been hooked on Jackie Collins ever since reading "Hollywood Wives" when I was 12. Her books in the nineties have been sort of a letdown, but it looks as if Collins is hitting her stride again with her latest novel, "Lethal Seduction." As usual, she has a strong female character in Madison Castelli, although she is not in the same league as some of Collins's other female characters, most notably, Lucky Santangelo. Madison is a bit of a flake compared to Lucky, moping about a boyfriend who left her for another woman TWO YEARS ago. I'm used to Collins's characters shrugging off slight disappointments like that and moving on to the next male victim. However, this does not detract from the fun of "Lethal Seduction", which is a genuine page turner with fun characters and sharp writing. There are several plotlines going on at once and all of them are equally intriguing. Madison finds out that the woman she thought was her mother really isn't, and that the father she adores isn't the man who she thinks he is. Her best friend Jamie is blond and has the perfect life except that she thinks her Wall Street husband is cheating on her. In another part of New York, Rosarita is tired of her boytoy husband, and when he refuses to divorce her, Rosarita asks her father with rumored Mob connections to kill him (!). All of the different plotlines come together in a climax centered around a Las Vegas fight. Collins has produced a classic beach read which is both suspenseful and hilarious. There are some loose ends that aren't resolved at the end of the book, but there will probably be a sequel. If the sequel is as well written as "Lethal Seduction" it will certainly be welcomed and anticipated.
Rating: Summary: another great book Review: i thought thhis book was great.i loved reading about madison and jake.i take it there will be a sequal since not much got resolved.my only complaint was that kris pheonix was one of my favorite characters from rock star,in this book he was mentioned but not rafealla.there was no mention of what happened to her and kris.i have read all of jackie collin's books and love how she tells us about characters from other books.so i was a little dissapointed.otherwise a great read.i finished it in a day.
Rating: Summary: Lethal Seduction Review: I really thought that Jackie Collins could have done a much better job on this book. I got the impression that this book was a prelim to her next "better" book. She didn't take the characters all the way into their full potential. Plus, I really miss the older Jackie Collins books that would have one strange chapter, every so often, that was weird. You didn't know who that character was or how they tied into everything until the very, very end. I miss those books. Jackie, if you read this... Bring on Madison as if she were Lucky's sister. There is so much that can be done with her.
