Summary: Enjoyable fluff
Review:

Manhattan Style magazine reporter Madison Castelli may be beautiful, but feels unlucky when it comes to men. She still clings to hopes of finding a love of a lifetime even though she is seeing someone. However, her dreams are interrupted when her father Michael informs her that her mother Stella is divorcing him. He also tells her revelations about the identity of her real mother killed almost three decades ago. On top of that she learns that Stella was killed with the man she was living with in an apparent robbery.

Madison begins to think back on her unhappy childhood while reflecting on her father. She begins to uncover the repugnant reality that Michael has mob connections, making her wonder what really happened to Stella.

LETHAL SEDUCTION is the typical Jackie Collins fare: underdeveloped characters with limited understanding inside an erotic story line with little plotting that is overwhelmingly fun to read. While Madison tries to pour her heart out to her best friend, her best friend tries to pour her heart out to Madison, leaving the reader as the only listener. Cameos and visits from the rich and famous add glamour that brings a side of Manhattan to life, but this is novel is classic Collins which means an enjoyable, very humorous trip into fluff.

Summary: Did she just get tired of writing?
Review: I'm at a loss. This book started out gang-busters, typical Collins ..... lots of raunchy sex, bitchy characters, the hooker with the heart of gold, the handsome underdog. With not a lot of character development, Collins weaves a fast-paced plot that keeps you turning the page. But all of a sudden, you start to feel like you're in one of those restaurants where the waiters try to rush you out the door so they can seat more customers. Detail and explanation are deemed unimportant ...... Collins rushes at breakneck pace to finish, and then just stops. Instead of telling the rest of the story -- and believe me, there's plenty left to tell -- she just ends it and gives you a few-sentence description of what happened to each character. I felt so cheated. I would rather invest my time in a well-developed story that actually has an evolved ending. Oh yeah, that's Nora Roberts! So long, Jackie.

Summary: She's the Greatest!
Review: Each page that you turn you are in a world of the rich and famous. Each page has something more that you are dying for. As if you can't read the pages fast enought. She is the best at this style of writing and I have to take my hat off to Jackie Collins because she knows how to keep her readers wanting more.

Summary: This may be the worst book I have ever read.
Review: As an English professor I read all kinds of books, from the very best to the not so good. This may be the worst book I have ever read. There is no plot to speak of, and the characters are so one-dimensional that they seem to exist solely to allow the author to mention protuberant body parts. The author's writing style, to use the term loosely, is so cliche ridden that it infuriates. What a waste of paper and ink!

Summary: The new Lucky
Review: I really enjoyed this book as I have enjoyed all her others. I thought Madison was a bit boring in the L.A. Connections series, but I absolutely adored her in this one. She is the Lucky for the new millenium. Jamie Nova was my favorite character in this book. Silver Anderson from Hollywood Husbands and Kris Phoenix from Rock Star make guest appearances. I really didn't like the character Natalie; her and Madison do not go well together. I really didn't enjoy the dialouge between those two. Jackie Collins set it up for Madison to meet Lucky, but she never came through. That was a bit disappointing. Kris Phoenix made no mention of Rafaella from Rock Star. Disappointing also. Where was Alex Woods? I had no problem being set up for a new novel, but she only left Madison with no conclusion. Dexter, Rosarita, Chas, Jamie, and the otheres got one, but Madison's was set up for the new novel. If there is another Lethal Seduction novel I want the same characters back not just Madison. Overall I loved this novel! P.S. Jackie how about a Madison and Lucky novel?

Summary: Very disappointed with this latest book
Review: I had been waiting for a long time for the next Jackie book and I was very excited when this book came out. After reading it I was very disappointed, however because of the ending or lack there of. I felt like I had read this whole book and was expecting it to all tie together in the end or at least get some answers but I got neither! It seemed to me that all this book was is a format that layed the groundwork and storyline for her next book. I will think twice before I buy another one of her books. It is really too bad because I had read every one of her books and loved each and every one except this one.

Summary: What will I read after this latest novel?
Review: This is the last of the Jackie Collins books that I have read. Her books are too irresistible to set down. I guess I'll go back to Danielle Steele and kill some time until her next book comes out.......

Summary: Comic book
Review: The first of Collins' novels that I thought was a complete waste of time (but it's only the second one I've ever read). Characters are very shallow and totally unbelievable. The book is a repository for every conceivable thought that any of the characters might ever think about sex. In fact, that's all the book is about---sex. And not good sex at that. The extreme and gratuitous vulgar and obscene language adds to the lack of depth not only of the characters but of the book itself. It is really litle more than a comic book without the pictures.

Summary: Jackie never fails to amuse me....
Review: "Lethal Seduction was a great read. Jackie never fails to keep me amused with her plots. I will say that Rosarita is a twit and her husband needs to 'bone-up' on his people skills. I felt bad for Madison, however, with JC plots, these men are always abundant. I wished she had thrown in a bit of Lucky for us in this novel, but all-in-all it was a good read! Keep 'em comin', Jackie!

Summary: Foreplay for her next book
Review: Although I am a Jackie Collins fan, I found this book to be quite predictable. This story just sets you up for her next installment in the story of "Madison". I found this book to be a very quick read. I kept wondering when we would find out everything dealing with Madison's parents, alas nothing except in the last 10 pages we find out that she has a half-brother? Did anyone else see this coming? What was the deal with Rosarita and her family? How were they important to the story? They never had anything to do with Madison execpt for her passing Rosarita's husband while he was jogging. I truly enjoyed the books Ms. Collins wrote dealing with the Santangelo's, if she is try to recapture that feeling with this one, she missed. Hopefully the next installment will be more eye opening, if not bring back Lucky!
