Summary: High Accolades from a fellow writer
Review: Wally Lamb has once more achieved the impossible. He has endeared himself and his character to the reader. I found that as he built Dominic he ensured my sense of loyalty to the man. As he did in "She's Come..." he uses a writing voice, a character from which he never breaks. And then so beautifully spins into Domenico Tempesto...I get weepy at the thought. This author inexorably allows the reader to become invested in the lives and well-beings of all the characters in this moving story of brutal courage and vicious love.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Outstanding, simply terrific!
Review: As profoundly moving as The Triumph and the Glory; as vivid as Mother of Pearl; as long as War and Peace (hee hee) but a GREAT reading experience. I Know This Much Is True is the best novel I have read in several months, and that is a LOT of novels. I'm retired and all I really do is read so I generally know what I'm talking about, and I highly recommend this one to everyone, whether you like Oprah's books or don't like Oprah's books.

Summary: No word Can describe this book.
Review: Wally Lamb has done it again. This book was so good. I couldn't put it down. Thomas and Dominick--I fell in love with the both of them and their situations. All the characters in this story moved me. Just Like when I fell in Love with Dolores. READ THIS BOOK!

Summary: You truly cannot put this book down. It is awesome.
Review: Mr. Lamb has outdone himself again. This book was so entertaining and true to life....painful and yet exhilirating. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Hurry up and write more, Mr. Lamb!

Summary: DOES IT EVER END??!?
Review: I thought the story of the brothers was great, but the story about the ancestors seemed to drag and drag and drag.

In general, I would like to see more of Wally Lamb, just not 900 pages at a time.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: 900 pages read like 300, I LOVED IT.
Review: I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. I could not put it down. I loved She's Come Undone and when I Know This Much Is True came out I was intimidated by the # of pages and did not want to read it. A lady at my book club said it didnt read like 900 pages and she was right. I am going to recomend this book to everyone this summer and I look forward to Mr. Lamb's next novel.

Summary: Couldn't put it down.
Review: This book was a wonderfull awakening of your innerself. I thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish, really, I couldn't put it down. There was so much compassion even at the worst of times. Wally Lamb leads the reader on a wondeful and interesting journey of the life as a twin. This is a wonderfull uplifiting, yet very "Real Life" story, that I found to be very positve experience. One minute your up and the next your down. I was sad the day I finished it, when there was no more to learn about the life of Dominick. I truly enjoyed this novel.

Summary: This book was wonderful!
Review: I enjoyed this book very much. It has many pages, but keeps you interested until the end. There was one part of the book (when the main character starts reading his grandfather's "story")that I was starting to lose interest. But then, I became interested in what he was reading about his grandfather. It opened up my eyes to several things-such as what it would be like to be a twin of a schizophrenic. I think what I enjoyed most about this book was the fact that the main character encountered every thing that could possibly go wrong in one's life-and he overcame them all! At one point I was thinking "wow-this guy has so many problems-I am surprised that he was not more depressed, suicidal, etc."

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: marvelous
Review: This book was wonderful, one of the best I have read. I noticed that all of the people who disliked this story all mentioned something about the offensive language. While the language might not have been neccesary, I feel it portrayed the story better. It showed Dominick's fear and frustration. The book wasn't about schrizonphrenia, as some were complainging about, it was about Dominckic Birdsey's journey to find himself. All of the subplots in the story contributed to this. This story is beautiful, simply beautiful. I'm a great fan of Wally Lamb, and am eagerly awaiting another novel.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A Brilliantly Written Novel
Review: Much has been said in the reviews here at Amazon that lets would-be readers and the curious know that Wally Lamb's second book is a psychologically complex, intensely personal piece. I want to add that Wally Lamb writes with techincal skill that is rarely matched. If you appreciate being brought to the senses of a character, whether they be visual, auditory, or tactile, you will deeply appreciate Mr. Lamb. He can use one sentence to bring you to the physical and emotional place where the character stands. I've often not finished long books because the writer so often gets bogged down with description, but Mr. Lamb describes entire scenes with more accuracy than a filmmaker could in 5 minutes of action with the use of one or two brilliantly-worded sentences. I find that even his "by the way" sequences are fascinating because they are so well written. I am glad he teaches. I hope that means other writers will learn from him. If you admire a tightly written, Mozart-style (there are just as many notes as he requires) novel, this book (along with "She's Come Undone,") is for you.
