Summary: Very disappointed in this book.
Review: I cannot understand why so many people are raving about this book. After plowing through this book, I felt like I wasted my time. I am glad I borrowed it from the library rather than purchasing it. If you like murder, suicide, rape, incest, self-mutilation, filthy language, sexual perversion, child abuse, spousal abuse, child molestation, and pornography; this book is for you! It's got it all and much more!

Somewhere in this unedited mess, I think there could have been a good story about identical twins, families and schizophrenia, but it got lost. Shame on Oprah for recommending this one!

Summary: Wally Lamb does it again!
Review: Could this possibly be one of the best books ever written?

I say yes! yes! yes! and double yes.

With "She's Come Undone," and now "I Know This Much is True" Lamb has emerged as one of the finest authors in this century.

The books is definitely a commitment but one worth making. It is thought provoking, challenging and truly wonderful.

Thank you Wally, I can't wait to see what you do next!

Summary: Amazingly awesome
Review: Wally Lamb is the most talented writer to come down the pike in quite some time. With only 2 novels under his belt, his talent is all the more staggering. While I greatly enjoyed She's Come Undone, I adored I Know This Much Is True. I read it while recovering from surgery and could not put it down. An amazing story, I found myself lost in the journey but also stunned at the fact that one person had this book in them to write. How I wish that I could meet this author just to thank him for sharing his talent. It had been a long time since I'd read a book that kept me so involved and surprised. I recommend it whenever and to whomever I can!

Summary: It's my favorite book to date and I'm an avid reader!
Review: Wally Lamb portrays his characters so well that you feel as if you are right there with them. You get angry, sad and happy right along with them. His insight into dealing with a mentally ill relative is superb! I've faced these issues and he is right on in how Dominick cares and laments about his brother.

READ THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: Twice as interesting as She's Come Undone.
Review: I am not a real reviewer, however, I find Wally Lamb's novels refreshing, comtemporary and his writing is earthy and honest. I Know This Much Is True was a big book. I personally have never delved into the psyches of twins. One was lost and the other was enraged. The author makes dysfunctional families come alive on the pages of this book and so believable. I know a fellow who lost his twin and he to is sad and enraged. Well folks, get ready for a roller coaster ride through these mens' lives. Take out the kleenex and find a comfortable place to perch your loins.By the way, it would help if you speak Italian or Sicilian. One good thing it has a great happy... .

Summary: One of best I've "read" in the last year . . .
Review: My only disappointment was when it was over! What a wonderful story and read so well by Ken Howard. Caution - if you listen while commuting you may want to circle the block a few times or sit in the driveway . . . it's hard to put it down.

Summary: Got to be the BEST book I have ever read!!
Review: I really enjoyed the way he wrote and remembered his childhood. It felt as though somone was talking to me. Really made me think about life and family.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One of the all time best!
Review: Yes, it was long and yes it was arduous. But it was worth the long read! So many books just gloss over subjects that are seriuosly dealt with by Wally Lamb. These are real topics that in one way or another will affect each of us at some time or another in some way. Lamb's rhetoric and use of dialogue are unmatched by most authors. Flowery prose and description is easy to compose compared to the painful process of describing one man's journey down a painful and tortuous path to healing.

Summary: An Amazing Second Book for Wally Lamb
Review: After reading "She's Come Undone" I just had to read this book. It reminded me, in a way, of the movie I saw years back called Dominick and Eugene. What a wonderful accomplishment for Mr. Lamb. The detailed life of Dominick and Thomas just make you want to be there with them as Mr. Lamb takes you through there turbulent but, also very interesting lives. It takes you on a journey to show the true bond between family and the necessity for forgiveness and healing. I was intimidated at first by the 900 pages but, soon found out that it was well worth the effort. The characters were well-rounded and I found myself quite engulfed in the novel. I look forward to see more great books from this author!!!
