Summary: Skip this Patterson book!
Review: As I read this book, I kept wondering why Katie didn't just go to the end of Suzanne's Diary and find out JUST WHAT had happened to her?? I found the fact that she didn't very annoying. Here she is supposed to be a smart book editor, and and a carpenter-and she sits around reading this diary given to her by her lover-for days-PLEASE. No one has that much patience when her heart has just been broken by her lover, Matt. I won't give away the ending-Patterson does that early on. I bought and read the book because I understood it to be a true story, based on Patterson's own life. I can't wait for his next book, Violets are Blue. I did enjoy his Where the Wind Blows, and 1st to Die-but as for this one, too sweet and cutsey. Maybe he should kneel down and ask for forgiveness from everyone who did not like the book.

Summary: Suzanne was a light but predictable novel.
Review: This is a light summer read with a very predictable ending. Good love story but the characters are undeveloped. Take it to the beach or pool.

Summary: Hooray for Patterson!!
Review: I highly anticipated Suzanne's Diary, not only to see how Mr. Patterson would handle a different genre, but also to see if the characters were well rounded, and if I could bring them close to my heart. Not only did they become some of my favorite characters - they will remain in my heart always.

Journaling, as in Suzanne's Diary, is what each of us should consider. Writing not only for those that we leave behind, but also for ourselves. It's a way to remind us of those times that we feel - "isn't it lucky"? Upon review of our own pages, we may then be allowed to see what wonderful things we have, and the things that we can share, if only we open ourselves to others.

Matt is by far one of the most "perfect" men I've read about, romantic; kind; smart and loving. Suzanne is a lovely, well-educated woman who knows her limitations, but stretches past them to share her love with her husband and precious child, Nicholas.

Katie is a strong woman. She is hurt and confused, but she continues her journey to know Matt and his family. Her willingness to read the diary and to open herself for even more heartache makes you want to go along with her.

The diary compells you to stay with Katie, to read with her when she learns exactly what happened. You must be there with her when she arrives at the final pages and learns the total truth about the kind of man Matt truly is. And finally, you are able to breathe a sigh of relief when she makes her decision about their relationship.

A compelling book about love, loss, heartbreak and forgiveness. Join Katie on her journey when she learns of the life led by Suzanne, Matt and Nicholas through Suzanne's Diary.

Summary: simply awful!
Review: Rarely have I read a worse book! Corny, contrived, predictable, and almost totally unreadable. Mr. Patterson has been slipping lately, but this time he has fallen completely off of the horse. I know this book will sell about a gazillion copies, but that don't make it art. It stinks.

Summary: Get out the tissue box..
Review: What a wonderful read! I read it in one day and obviously cried at the end! Such strong, caring, compassionate characters. Thank you to James Patterson for having the power to move me.

Summary: Worth reading, but not worth buying the book
Review: This book kept me interested for a fair amount of it. After a while it just seemed to be the same thing over and over again. It got quite boring in the middle. In the beginning I couldnt put it down. I recommend borrowing this book from a friend, but do not spend your money on it.

Summary: This book will stay with you long after you finish it
Review: I have been an avid reader of James Patterson's books for a long time. I purchase his books without even reading the jacket. You just KNOW it is going to be a great read. I was not sure what to expect when I purchased this book. A James Patterson romance? I was intrigued. Once I started reading the book, I could not put it down. I read it in one evening. Although I had read reviews saying it was a tear jerker, I did not expect the emotions that came over me towards the conclusion of the book. It was truly touching. Hooray for James Patterson! Buy this book! You will not be disappointed!

Summary: Roses are red...
Review: Violets are blue, This book is a Seepy Weepy...boo hoo!

What can you say about a girl who died? Apparently plenty, since male writers of a certain age revisit her brief doomed life so frequently. Her name and circumstances vary, but no matter what she's young, she's beautiful, and she's toast. Now here's an interesting thought -- you very rarely find women authors contributing to this well-worn genre. That's because women know what to do when their thoughts wend to'rds sad relationships of yore...they fall face-forward into a nice Sara Lee cheesecake, that's what they do! And a much more sensible solution it is, too. For those who think the perfect evening consists of renting "Message In Bottle" here's the book for you! And since it practically has the same plot you won't have to make too many frowny faces trying to figure it out. As for me, I prefer to re-read "Rebecca." She's young, she's beautiful, she's doomed...and she comes back and makes her former hubby's new life a LIVING HELL! Now THAT'S a book!!
