Rating: Summary: unanswered questions Review: Other reviewers have noted the ineptitude of the FBI in the stakeout of the cabin, the failure to search the area where the house "disappeared", the stupidity of the girl returning to her isolated house without protection, etc. The question I wanted answered most was how the California reporter first suspected it was the doctor who was the "Gentleman Caller." His name simply appears on her file, no explanation. And if the "Gentleman Caller" was a doctor who had just moved the last year from North Carolina, how did he set up his practice so lavishly? Puhleez, can't an exciting story (like this one sure is) have an editor who helps the author plug the holes a bit?
Rating: Summary: Good Book Review: The is one of the best books I have ever read. I couldn't put it down and I think everyone should try a James Patterson book.
Rating: Summary: A real thriller... Review: As with many books I have read, I wish I had seen the movie after the book. I always seem to feel so let down after seeing a movie based on a book I loved. Kiss the girls does not disappoint between the pages though. Patterson does a teriffic job of pulling the reader through every step of Alex Cross' journey to find his missing niece. I like the first person writing style that Patterson uses to tell the story from the main characters point of view. Even though the story tends to be a bit graphic at times I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good mystery-thriller.
Rating: Summary: AWESOME Review: this was the first alex cross novel i read and from the first chapter i was hooked..this story was one of the most exciting stories i have read of james patterson's...i would advise that you prepare yourself for a life time of addiction if you pick up any of the alex cross series!
Rating: Summary: I loved the anticipation, but where was the climax? Review: I have to admit, that I saw the movie before I read the book. And I have to say that it wasn't that bad of an adaptation. It was differnt than the book, but not in a "bad" way. The book was an easy read (took less than 3 days) and I liked the fact that the chapters were short enough to never have to stop reading in the middle of the chapter. The plot was very good. But it lacked the foreshadowing needed to slove the mystery. I reccomend this book to someone who has not seen the movie yet. Maybe they could shed some light on whether they saw the killer coming.
Rating: Summary: This was a totally awesome book! Review: Very thrilling! I love this book... the way James Patterson portrays the characters makes me feel like I could see it... This book was extremely good. Patterson is a talented man!
Rating: Summary: Axe Says Review: What a ride this book was. I could apply every cliche in the literary world to this one, rollercoaster, unputdownable, electric, they all apply. Mr Patterson has written an excellent novel that simply flows from page to page, his short chapter style guides the reader cinematically through this disturbing tale of two serial killers at large. Never before has a book broke me out in a sweat, or made my heart race, and in fact, made me shout out loud. Buy it, read it, and then pester someone else until they do the same. Enjoy.
Rating: Summary: Disgusting Review: This is my 4th James Patterson novel and absolutely my last. The sexual violence was pornographic and his portrayal of the women characters was shallow and demeaning. How in the world could Kate feel any sexual feelings towards Alex just a few short weeks after having been held hostage and raped repeatedly? I threw the book away and wish I had never read it.
Rating: Summary: Great book Review: PROS: This is one good suspenceful novel. The mood is great, the characters are great, and the book is great. This is another great James Patterson novel. James Patterson rules!CONS:Don't know why they made this one a movie instead of the first book with Alex Cross. ("Along Came A Spider") BOTTOM LINE: I would recommend this book to people who didn't see the movie, because if they already saw it, it spoiles the fun.
