Rating: Summary: excellent book Review: excellent read. fast paced, psychologically thrilling. didn't want to put down. Patterson is definitely a new favorite author
Rating: Summary: Wow! A must read! Review: This is the first time I've even heard of James Patterson.....I've been missing out. I agree with most of the reviews made on this book, I couldn't put it down. It only took me a day to read it, nothing else got done around the house but at the end of the day the book was finished! I really enjoyed "Kiss the Girls" and can't wait to read something else from this author.
Rating: Summary: Formula Book which insults the readers intelligence Review: This book uses every best seller trick, short chapters that always end on a suspenseful moment, lots of action, sex, torture, etc. Unfortunately the author insults our intelligence every step of the way. How does a woman end up in the woods, beaten and crippled, yet there is no search to see where she comes from (ever hear of bloodhounds). This is only one example of the stupidity of this book. I will never read another book by this author.
Rating: Summary: An episode of Baywatch has a more intelligent ending! Review: Patterson has succeeded in writing a great page turner. The twists and turns will keep you up reading long past your bedtime. HOWEVER: the ending is supposed to be the climax of all the earlier work. KISS THE GIRLS fails miserably in it's conclusion. The ending is actually an anti-climax after the event in Chapel Hill. Patterson obviously had his sights on converting this story into a movie script, and the ending reads like a bad "B" movie. One cannot help but wonder about Pattersons dark side with the inclusion of such seat squirming passages as the "snake and milk" chapter. Also disturbing is his fascination with his "GLOCK" and repeated racist remarks
Rating: Summary: A gripping, chilling story, better than the movie Review: Excellent book. It kept my interest the entire way through. The only thing I would correct would be the reference to the Glock as a revolver in the first part of the book and then toward the back when Alex said he clicked the safety on the Glock off. The Glock is a semiautomatic pistol and the safety is in the trigger and doesn't click off. This is a trivial correction for an otherwise marvelous book. I was disappointed in the changes that were made for the movie. This was the first book I had read by James Patterson. I was thrilled to find an old copy of Along Came a Spider on my bookshelf. I can't wait to read it.
Rating: Summary: It's Fantastic! Review: I agree with everybody else who has read this book..........it's great. This is the first James Patterson book I have read and I loved it. I was definitely addicted. By the time I reached the end of the book I could not put it down. I also agree that the movie does it no justice. The book is sooooo much better. I highly recommend it to anybody that likes suspense and murder mysteries.
Rating: Summary: Would Patterson himself recognize Kate McTiernan? Review: Much better than the usual of this genre; holds interest all the way and is well paced. However, there are distractions: 1. The short chapters. 2. Early on Alex refers to his Glock "revolver." 3. Chapter 10.....Casanova's description of Kate, Her eyes were dark blue, etc. 4. Chapter 84.....Alex knows Kate's line from "The Pawnbroker"--I could see anxiety in her dark brown eyes.... 5. Chapter 91.....Alex introduces Sampson to Kate and Sampson stared into her blue eyes .6. Chapter 102....Alex in Kate's private hospital room: Alex stared into the vacant brown eyes.
Rating: Summary: Kiss the Girls Review: A real page turner. Once I started it, I never put it down. Stayed up all night reading, I love this book.
Rating: Summary: Excellent! Couldn't put it down! A must have! Review: This is the best book i've ever read! I'm only 14 but James Patterson made it so anyone could understand it. I was always up really late at night reading it and it took me less than a week to read it because I barely put it down. James Patterson was really descriptive and so, I could picture everything he was describing. I haven't read anyother books by James Patterson before but now I'm going to. This was an excellent book and I recommend it to everyone.
Rating: Summary: I loved it!! Review: This was my fist James Patterson book and I'm hooked!! "Kiss the Girls" was captivating, intriging, and totally suspensful! I loved the short chapters, that made it just that much harder to put down. I can't wait to read "Along Came A Spider" and "Jack and Jill". "Kiss the Girls" kept me reading till unimaginable hours of the night and had me occupied during the day. I've read some other reviews and I just can't imagine anyone giving this book a rating less than 9. This book is definently one of my favorites! James Patterson knows what he's doing! "Along Came a Spider" will be my next read, followed by "Jack and Jill". You can count on hearing from me when I finish!
