Rating: Summary: I am now hooked on mystery books Review: Browsing in my neighborhood drug store, in the book department, this book cover caught my eye. Why would Morgan Freeman and Ashley Judd be on such a cover and who was this James Patterson writer? Well, because the cover intrigued me so I purchased it. Little did I know that 'Kiss the Girls' would be one of my favorite books that I have read this year, 'Jack and Jill' is the other. I was even more excited when the movie, Kiss the Girls, came to the theatre. I have recommended James Patterson's books to numerous people and I now have my mother, who is not a reader, reading his books. I am pleased to say that Mr. Patterson has changed my style of reading. It was worth the purchase.
Rating: Summary: The book is always better than the movie, or imagine! Review: I have read the majority of James Patterson's books and I have enjoyed all of them. This book was fast and hard to put down. GO READ IT!
Rating: Summary: An all consuming, all encompassing, thrilling journey. Review: I listened to this book on tape {unabridged}. It was absolutely excellent. I was to work, or at home without realizing I had even driven! My friend saw the movie and said it was great. I told her she had to read the book. There was no way the movie could have captured the wickedness, horror, or suspense that the novel exuded. Of course every reader knows that the book is always better. This was my first James Patterson novel. ALONG CAME A SPIDER will be my second, as I rushed out and bought it to satisfy my Alex Cross fix. A great time!
Rating: Summary: A wonderful, scary, intense read! Review: James Patterson has written, perhaps, his best novel yet. Some of the scenes are so intense that I had to stop and make sure that the small, subtle noises that I heard in my house weren't really something more sinister. If you want a scary book that takes place in the real world and could really happen, then you want this book.
Rating: Summary: Patterson's best book to date!! Review: I saw a preview for the movie and thought the book is bound to be good right?? Wrong the book was fabulous! The movie was so far off the book it isn't funny I would recomend any of Patterson's books. If you are thinking of going to see the movie don't read the book first you will be dissapointed with the movie.
Rating: Summary: WONDERFUL! WELCOME BACK ALEX! Review: I thoroughly enjoyed this suspenseful novel. This page-turning mystery captured my attention and didn't let go until the last page! I read the novel long before it was a movie and I regret that the movie did not do it justice. Alex Cross is a refreshing "new" detective, who Patterson makes you cheer for, curse at, and ultimately appreciate his "realness". Chasing conspiring serial killers on each coast took the suspense to a new level. Patterson also uses the devaluing crime of kidnapping and enslavement to lure the reader and hold him to the very end. I enjoyed "Along Came a Spider" and "Kiss the Girls" was just as enjoyable. I look forward to the next Patterson mystery featuring detective Alex Cross.
Rating: Summary: Kiss the Girls- you won't want to put it down!!!!!!!!!!! Review: Kiss the Girls, wil grab you and make you not want to stop reading it. James Patterson's character Dr. Detective Alex Cross will leave you speechless at his cunning and ingenious ways to figure out the true crimes. Alex Cross shows emotion and boldness in every situation even when it looks like he is beat down. James Patterson truely knows how to grasp an audience and keep them on the edge of their chairs. Superb book, I recommend it to anyone!!!!!
Rating: Summary: If you need to get some sleep, don't start this book! Review: Quick chapters and plot twists make this a quick read. Patterson keeps your attention and wins the battle against predictability. If scary movies make you tense, this book will keep you up a couple of nights.
Rating: Summary: TERRIFIC!!! Review: I enjoyed reading "Kiss the Girls", you could hardly stopped reading it. I highly recommend this book. This is the first book from James Patterson that I read and now I will be looking forward to his next book.
Rating: Summary: KISS THE GIRLS is James Patterson best. Review: It's interesting from the Casanova and Gentleman caller stories of the prologue all the way to the very last word, it doesn't makes much sense on what the FBI does sometimes, but I guess we can take that since it's fiction, READ IT, you won't be able to put it down :) good luck
