Review: I have read all of John Sanford's work. Secret Prey is the best one yet, and I loved them all. Keep them coming John!

Summary: "Prey" series is becoming overly formulaic.
Review: Although I enjoyed the latest installment of Davenport's adventures in the Twin Cities area, I am growing tired of the villain-who-will-strike-at-those-closest-to-Lucas's-heart. Not every perp has to be ultra-smart, but not brilliant enough to fool Davenport. Secret Prey was predictable and formulaic. Sandford should spend an extra couple of days editing the next in the series - or better, kill off Lucas and begin a more compelling storyline.

Review: TWO THUMBS UP FOR SANDFORD. Not only does Sandford, Lucas and the rest of the crew get five stars, they also get two thumbs up. Can't wait for his next "Prey" book to hit the stands.

Summary: Very Davenport -- Quite Enjoyable
Review: I can see why this book didn't do as well as Sudden Prey. There was less action and more detecting in it. Yet, I found it to be extremely satisfying. The series is moving right along. I found the story to be clever and believable. I'm not disappointed at all.

Review: I dont know if Sandford reads these, but I hope he does. I really liked this series, until I went to buy this one and read what it was about. Apparently it"s become like every other soap opera: let's break every couple up, and sleep with everybody. I cant believe he broke Weather and Lucas up.

Review: I am a big fan of this series as well as Sandford's other books, but this one was disappointing. Very little tension or excitement, especially during the first half. Davenport seems less complex and interesting. Too bad - hoping that Certain Prey is better.

Review: One heck of a tale. Sandford's best, in my opinion. Even after you know 'who done it', it's an exciting story. In fact, the pace actually accelerates at that point until the tension is almost unbearable. Thank you Mr. Sandford for another great read.

Review: I just started reading John Sandford's Prey novels 2 months ago and I like the Lucas Davenport character (along with his supporting cast!) more and more. I urge you to start reading his "Rules of Prey" novel first, and continue from there. You will NOT be disappointed. I have read the entire series in 2 months time! "Secret Prey" is ranked right up there with "Rules of Prey" as my favorite Prey novel, but don't be fooled...you will love them all! In "Secret Prey", the suspects are quite complex and each one "could have done it". When are they planning on making a movie on these Prey novels? I'll be first in line!!
