Rating: Summary: A fabulous journey! Review: The author does it again. This book is a winner. I couldn't put it down. Eventhough you could "guess" how the book would end, the journey was very entertaining and intriguing. Hope this is the start of new series. There are some interesting characters to analyze and explore what happens to them in the future.

FANTASTIC ORIGINALITY WAS INVALVED IN THE CREATING OF THIS BOOK. THE PALADIN WAS VERY ORIGINAL. I WOULD RECOMEND THIS BOOK TO ANYONE WHO LIKES ADVENTURE BOOKS. THIS SEARES IS PROBABLY THE BEST I'VE COME BUY IN A WHILE. I READ LOADS OF BOOKS, ABOUT 2-3 A MONTH, AND THIS ONE WAS FANTASTIC. I GIVE TERRY BROOKS THE KINGDOM OF LANDOVER SEARES 5 STARY FOR ORIGINALITY AND BELIVABILITY.E-mail me with other books like this one if you know any. By the way, the Vikings rule!!!!
Rating: Summary: Better than Glory Road Review: I actually thought this book is better than Robert Heinlein's Glory Road, which had a similar premise. While the Heinlein book had it's virtues, frankly it let down. This book does not. Brooks has created a detailed world. There is many elements to the story. I loved the concept of dragons originally being menaced by humans. Then turning bad in their hatred.
Rating: Summary: The first book of a fantastic adventue ! Review: I was so impressed after reading this book that I found myself at the book store asking for the rest of the series and when a new book would be out. I just cant get enough of Terry Brooks. I have a difficult time finding an author that can keep my attention but Terry Brooks had me before the end of the first chapter. I recently introduced my fiencee and her three kids to the "Shannara" series and they are hooked as well. I cant wait to get them started with "The Magic Kingdom of Landover" !!
Rating: Summary: Terry Brooks takes you in to an whole new world Review: Recently I finished reading an exciting book "Magic Kingdom For Sale:Sold" by Terry Brooks. I would definitely recommend this book to others that are interested in this author. This book may appear to be a classic style fantasy with knights in shining armor fighting dragons. But, Terry Brooks has managed to add an unusual twist to it by placing the setting in a large, modern city in the first part of the novel. This is a great book for summer reading because you simply cannot put it down. It may be a little more difficult for children under the age of eleven because of its length and some of the vocabulary. The story starts out in the large city. A well-known lawyer named Ben Holiday is the main character. Ever since Ben's wife died, he had been very depressed and in need of a break from the real world. One night, Ben arrives at his house from work and he has received a Christmas catalog in the mail. As he is flipping through it, he finds an ad for a private island filled with fantasy and magic. At this time he is strongly in need of a place to escape. He considers it. When Ben's working partner hears about this consideration, he becomes very angry. The thought that the top lawyer in the firm is considering making a serious dent in his finances by quitting, the idea doesn't go by him very well. From that point on, the book is an action packed adventure. This is one of those books that you can read over and over again and never grow tired of. I enjoyed how the book kept going from one problem to the next. I think that is what makes you keep reading. There are also two more books in this series. I can't wait to read them. If you have not read this book I highly encourage you to do so.

Rating: Summary: A novel that can temper a young mind with fantastic dreams. Review: "Magic Kingdom..." was a novel that mixes many details of dreams and fantasy. Being a reader of the novel, one can recall the details of the main character's, Ben Holiday, life. The death of his wife, and the success of his lawfirm. The reincarnation that takes place when he crosses over worlds by the sinister character known as Meeks, Terry Brooks incorporated the use of a transition to make his story translate to another fashion. With the introduction of Willow, the faery/sprite that falls in love with Ben, Brooks takes away the death of Ben's wife and places a new life in his Ben's own. The largescale picture is that the book itself is so compressed with many types of dream-like happenings that it makes the book itself truly magical. Many authors can write about different fantasy worlds, but Brooks makes Ben's destination one of mystery and mystique. It gather's all of the reader's imagination and displays a kaleidoscope of colors and of life. The part of the book that deals with fantasy is the part that puts flesh on the bones. Brooks divides the worlds into the parts that would make them up. The real world, Brooks puts real problems with choices that do not make them any better, in the other world there are greater problems but with answers that steal themselves away from the credibility of reality into pure fantasy. Even the creatures that are placed into that fantasy world, it gives the book something to look at; it makes it picturesque and truly a work of fiction...but nonetheless, it is unforgetable because of its sense of branding situations. It is an incredible tale, however, and cannot be sold short...it is a magical kingdom, you know.
Rating: Summary: Fantastic fantasy series!!! Review: I have all five books in this series! "The Magic Kingdom for Sale-Sold!" was the best book I had ever read...until the next four books came out! Each one was better than the last one. I can't wait until the next one comes out!
Rating: Summary: ENTERTAINING!!! Review: All the characters in Magic Kingdom for Sale-Sold! are great. The fantasy world Brooks makes up is fasinating. It is great how the author draws you into the book by talking about all the new people/things the charater, Ben Holiday meets. How Ben percieves the foreign land he comes into, and how different it is to his own home world is probably the best discription I've read in a long time. You feel as if you're with him. Brooks is a great author, he always leaves you wanting more. I highly recommend this book and all the other books in this series.
Rating: Summary: Weird and wonderful! Review: Terry Brooks opens his imagination to a boundless world: Landover. This book is a must read for Brooks' fans! This book is inspiring, funny, action-packed, and (above all), just plain EXCITING!
