Summary: Da'Bomb!
Review: Not much I can add to the other reviews. This book is an excellent read. EJD, 5 strong, keep writing'em and I for one will keep reading'em. I only wish I didn't have to wait a year each time, but then again, I'm glad it's only a year. "You da man!"

Summary: Drama upon Drama and still nothing happened
Review: I read Cheaters and while not thinking it was the greatest book I ever picked up, it was decent.

Liar's Game on the other hand...

The story begins with Vince and Dana meeting at a club and after some clunky dialouge, Vince lies about his past.

It seems Vince's Ex Wife ran off with his daughter to Germany-and, married the guy she was sleeping with when she and Vince were still married. His only mementoes are four pictures of his daughter and a video tape of him and his ex-wife having sex. He hasn't seen either of them for several years and sends child support to his mother-in-law (who hates him).

It's quite some time before Vince's secret is revealed. Until then (quite some ways into the book, in fact, way too far into the book) he doesn't really have to hide his past very hard. In fact he doesn't. As far as he's concerned his wife is still out of the country. And Dana doesn't pry too deep, taking Vince's word as his bond.

So much of this book didn't make sense to me. Why didn't Vince go after the daughter he was supposed to love so much? Why did he lie? Why did Vince and Dana have to always describe everybody's wardrobe? Why did Womack send Vince to do his spying on his wife (it would have been a more powerful if Womack discovered the reason why his wife was lying)? What did all the side drama have to do with the main characters? In fact, why not make the minor characters major characters if their drama was going to be so explosive? Why did they almost always have sex after a serious discussion? (I had a real problem with that)

What upset me most was the last few pages. They were beautifully written. They hinted a story that went deeper then the fact that almost every character knew how to dress, knew what the latest D'Angelo video was, and always seem to be hitting the gym.

My question is: Where was the game? I'd have a better time watching the Hawks play.

Summary: If you've read one Dickey Book ...
Review: This book is pretty much the same -- like his others. Women being made to look like they don't have it going on up stairs. As for the book content. No man, not one that really wanted a good relationship (or any at all) would allow someone to keep him from his child. Especially, when it would have been so easy for the author's main character to get help from the law. It's nice that the book was dedicated to his two daughters ...

Summary: Good, but not the best
Review: I am a big fan of Dickey's work and have read every book. I was at the bookstore on 6/26 when this new book was released and began it that day. I love the character Vince because he was a good man with a faults (like the rest of us). However, I don't think that Dana was the right woman for him; I just did not like her character. This plot was interesting but not as well-developed as MIMC and Cheaters. This was a good summer read but I can't say that it would be on my list of favorites.

Summary: Good Read
Review: I love all of Eric Jerome Dickey's book. I love the way he ties his other characters from his other books into this one, I always wondered what happended to Shellby and Tyrell from Friends and Lovers. In the begining it went rather slow but Eric didn't let me down. It was good from beginig to end. I actually rated this book 3.5.

Summary: He's done it again!
Review: Once again Eric Jerome Dickey writes an excellent tale of realism. Everyone goes through a stage of questioning what and how much to tell about your past at the beginning of a relationship, and that is captured in this book. These characters are very realistic with a storyline that keeps you intrigued until the very end. I like how other characters like Juanita, Naomi, Gerri, Rosa Lee and Womack are explored in depth making the book not so one sided. I cant wait for another one!

Summary: Keeps you coming back
Review: Yahoo for Eric Jerome Dickey on A Liar's Game. Just like his other novels Dickey has successfully done it again with an interesting plot line and exciting characters. It's a must read for the summer. I read it in 2 days:)

Summary: Lies, Lies and More Lies.......Will the relationship last?
Review: I have been an avid fan of Eric Jerome Dickey from day one; since his "Sister, Sister" days. After finishing that book with a smile on my face, I knew then that he was one to watch. I was telling everyone about that book. Mr. Dickey hasn't disappointed me yet! I have every book he has written. The brotha can write, has some serious skills! After pre-ordering "Liar's Game" two months in advance, I can honestly say that I wasn't disappointed. I was disappointed that I had finished reading it in two days. Mr. Dickey has a gift, a true talent. True talent is so rare in this era of wannabe writers. He has found his niche, burrowed deep and is making a great impact. Mr. Dickey has proved that again and again in "Liar's Game." His characters capture your attention from page one. Mr. Dickey has a knack for vividly describing scenes, people and places, that you can picture them. His writing is that captivating. Mr. Dickey has a trait mark style of writing that I love. His words flow, flow smooth as honey from the pages. When I read his novels, I know I am going to find witty humor, realistic situations, interesting conversation and a fast, quick pace. You just have to hang on for the ride. His characters, love them or hate them, you feel as if you know them. His characters are real. There are a lot of Danas and Vincents in the world. If you are looking for a quick, easy read full of twists and turns, action, romance and humor, then look no further. Pick up "Liar's Game" and escape into Eric's imagination. And what an imagination it is...You know when you buy his books, you are getting your money's worth. Keep up the good work Mr. Dickey and I anxiously await your next book. Summary: Like fine wine, savour the quality of Liar's Game
Review: EJD, You go Boy ! Lair's Game was simply a page turner. The research that you put into your books is really in depth, readers can truly identify with the characters, been there, done that, know someone who's been there and done that, wrote the postcard. Liar's Game arrive first thing in the morning at work, I tried not to look at it, but it kept calling to me, read the first page, can't got deadlines, it kept calling, I am so weak, read the first chapter, worked late, Dana and Vince are so true to what takes place in some relationships. I truly enjoyed every word, but I knew I would.

Summary: An excellent read. This book is better than Cheaters!
Review: Eric Jerome Dickey is back again with this excellent novel. I could not put the book down! The characters are very much alive and incredible. Dana is an aspiring releastate agent seeking to get away from her past but looking for someone to truly lover her. I do not want to go to much into details about the other character's because I can go on and on. Get your copy soon. Kimrow46@hotmail.com
