Summary: A book to tell the marketers that marketing is not a myth.
Review: A must read book for all business leaders. Business leaders must understand marketing and this book tells you why. It also removes the myth that marketing belongs only to the marketing department because that is the end of traditional marketing as we know it. Certain parts of the book are quite harsh on traditional marketers. I wish the author could provide more details. Probably, Mr Sergio should write the second book on the details of the marketing strategies mentioned in this book. Overall, this is an excellent book. Strongly recommended.

Summary: This book was a big disappointment.
Review: This book was wholly unentertaining and poorly written. The principles and theories discussed within it seemed to be the products of common sense - I feel as though I could have come up with more innovative marketing ideas myself, and I'm not even in marketing!!! The writing style was very simplistic and boring. It was as though Mr. Zyman was trying to use unnecessary words just to fill space. All in all, I felt as though the time I spent reading this book was wasted, and I sincerely believe that I could have written a better one myself, simply based on my instincts as a consumer.

Summary: A book that can change a whole individual life
Review: Normally there is a great conflict between business and spirituality, but Sergio Zyman the marketing czar of Coca Cola, solves that conflict by deanthropomorphizing marketing, by demostrating that marketing is a science...Changing your mind is evidence that you are approaching your marketing scientifically...Experimenting, measuring, and revising are what scientists do to find the best solution...In marketing, as in science, understanding the why is the crucial step...People...have to learn to be marketers...because marketers are professionals...and...If you provide the environment in which they can test out their dreams, they are going to be eager, energetic, happy and productive...by defining and redefining yourself, you can constantly move away from your competitors...and then we find again that the new technologies are demostrating in marketing too that we are entering in the area of the individual...So marketers increasingly need to find ways to speak to custumers individually, or in smaller and smaller groups...This is one of those books that can change a whole individual life.

Summary: Amazing man, book, and father!
Review: Jennifer and I love your book and are so proud of you. A great read. Easy to understand and very insitful. You would think we would know all about marketing by now. We remember how excited you were writing this book and we want to let you know that it turned out great and all the hard work over the years has been worth it. Good job. Love, Jessica

Summary: BACK TO BASICS....ONE ON ONE, EYE BALL TO EYE BALL
Review: REALLY NOTHING NEW....JUST OLD PRINCIPLES RENEWED.VERY GOOD BOOK, BUT TO THE NEWCOMER, ITS GOOD, TO WILLY LOMAN (DEATHOF A SALESMAN), IT IS OLD HAT, LONG FORGOTTON. DO WHAT WORKS, AND TO HECK WITH THE REST. ZYMAN PUTS THAT OLD PROVEN CRITERIA TO WORK, RE-INVENTING THE RIGHT METHOD. WHAT DOES THIS SAY ABOUT ALL THE HYPE OF E-COMMERCE? HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE BOOK, WITH RESERVATIONS TO WHOM.

Summary: Insight From A Brilliant Marketing Mind
Review: Sergio has exposed the raw underbelly of marketing, lashing out at those marketers who have been making their living for years hiding behind the mysterious curtain of the "art" of marketing. He makes a strong case for the "science" of marketing, demanding that everything have a strategy as to why your doing it and demanding that the ultimate objective of all action is to sell more product and a higher price. He also demands accountability -- that all actions be specific and measureable.

Any marketing student or professional should take this book to heart and follow the advice.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Easy to read, harder to implement.
Review: Keeps your attention until the very end. You'll find many of your well-established traditional marketing principles challenged. Articulates common sense, which, paradoxically, is rarely followed in the real world. Philosophical, unpretentious, simple, inspirational - it's a must for a marketer.
