Rating: Summary: What is better than the best? Review: I read his latest bestseller in two days. All of his books are great. Bill goes right to the heart of the matter - no games - no phoniness. How could you not enjoy reading the truth?
Rating: Summary: Ego Mania times 100 Review: What Mr. O'Reilly has presented in his text is nothing more than narcissistic self grandiose drivel. His presentation is almost childlike in format. It is quite apparent that Bill is only concerned with his convoluted take on the so called powerful sector of society. I can't help but notice that Mr. O's ego is larger than our national deficit. Trust me when I tell you this individual's popularity is nothing more thhan a current fad. I would love the opportunity to debate this parasitic (...)of an author, and more importantly, human being. Rating: Summary: WARNING: This book is dangerous... Review: ... it makes you think. I think that I enjoy Bill O'Reilly not so much because I agree with him on everything (I don't), but he really makes me think. This book is filled with pointed, pithy, sometimes slightly rude, but always thoughtful commentary regarding some of the most important issues in America.A one-hour read, this book is not exhaustive by any stretch of the word. In fact, some people have reviewed it as too short for the money; I disagree. I think it is just that O'Reilly comes to the point rather well. It may just be that, when you cut past all of the fluff and feathers that most pundits stuff their speeches with, you end up saving a little space in your book. Not to mention a little paper. From my perspective, _The No-Spin Zone_ is simply concisely written. That's rather unique in a world of pundits. A thoroughly thought-provoking, intelligent read. Oh, and this book is dangerous in more ways than one. I almost got kicked out of the bookstore when I was reading the chapter on the fictitious interview with Hillary Clinton. I would save that for a quiet corner in your own home, where hysterical bouts of laughter won't bother anybody but your cat.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful writing Bill, just like I thought it would be! Review: (...)I enjoyed it very much. I got it on a Friday afternoon, and I couldn't go to sleep that night without finishing it. The only regret that I had was that it was too short. I loved the 'Factor', and I loved this one. Powerful people should at least be questioned about their questionable actions. And it feels good when somebody on TV asks them what you would want to know. As far as him rooting for traditional values - well, I wish more people did, without necessarily branding them politically. We want respectful, successful kids without thinking that this makes them right-wing. I think O'Reilly makes a good case for the individual 'No Spin Zone' that is, after all, basic common sense. Too much political correctness has screwed up some people's thinking. The book is just about that - common sense - and some of the people who seem to have lost it along the way, if they ever had it. Good work, Bill, and keep it up!
Rating: Summary: Accountability is tough! Review: This book and O'reilly's show is a wake up call to America. In the past decade this country's moral decay has caused much of the problems with its citizens. Bill holds people accountable. Accountability, whats that! Well, we better figure it out or this country will crumble from within. Morality is another value that this company has forgot about. This past decade's definition of morality has been "whatever you get away with is moral, and if you get caught blame it on someone else." O'reilly, keep it up because no one else in the media is willing to tell truth and hold people accountable. The media is unbeleivable biased and O'reilly is the lone fighter. Fight on and we will back you!
Rating: Summary: GO-NAD MAN Review: I say....read the man's book! He shows all of us we do not have to accept the (junk) that is thrown at our feet daily! Bill O'Reilly exposes fraud, and praises the noble aspects of ones character. Read it!
Rating: Summary: Bill Osama Selig O'Reilly Review: Question: What do Osama Bin Laden, Bud Selig, and Bill O'Reilly have in common? Answer: They are all legends in their own mind and the butt of every joke. Osama is trying but failing to screw up the world. Bud is trying but will fail in screwing up baseball. And Good Ole Bill is trying desparetly to be a good respected journalist but he is failing miserably across the board. I read this book, it took me all of 2 hours. What a wonderful country we live in where a man can sit down write a very short book where he probably copied and pasted most of it in off the computer and can make millions. Hey Bill, I have a new title for your next book. You can call it Bill O'Reilly: America's Favorite Blowhard who attempts to be funny every night but fails.
Rating: Summary: O'Reilly, An Independent Thinker For Our Times Review: After having become a "Factor" fan, I could not wait to get a copy of "The No Spin Zone". Bill O'Reilly latest book takes the reader on a journey through what it was like to have values. To get answers from difficult questions from the very people who are in the position to give them. Not always with great success. This book is a "must read" by anyone concerned about this country. O'Reilly shoots from the hip. Armed with information vital for readers and Americans alike, to come to conclusions on the important issues affecting us all. THIS BOOK MUST NOT BE MISSED!!!
Rating: Summary: The South Loves O'Reilly Review: (...) What would we do without O'Reilly. If you are looking for some good entertaining reading about current political issues and corruption taking place in our society and government read his books and watch his show. Very Very informative. People get away with too much crap in todays times and if O'Reilly knows about it he will expose you. Buy the the first book and read it, if you havent already, and then buy this one and read it, it will be worth the time you spend on it. (...)
Rating: Summary: Bill takes on the playground bullies Review: The Rich and Powerful aren't used to being directly criticized or questioned anymore, so Bill throws them for a loop. It's a bit uncomfortable in the No Spin Zone, but we the audience benefit from hearing more of what's really going on in our world, thanks to Bill O'Reilly. Questions that aren't answered can be as telling as those that are. "We'll let the audience decide" are Bill's frequent parting words to a guest. Some subjects haven't even appeared on the Factor, but they're still open to discussion. I've come to some conclusions about Jesse Jackson,(misguided), Hillary Clinton, (evasive), and the NAMBLA posse, (criminal), thanks to Bill. Did you know Bill interviewed Dr. Laura Schlessinger, and DISAGREED with her? That takes guts. Half of America listens to her, to get a daily dose of guilt for our personal failings. Bill dishes out plenty of guilt, and it all boils down to him taking on the bullies on the playground. The Media can be the biggest bully, but not with O'Reilly in charge. He gives everyone a fair shot. Pick up the book, and see what you've missed in the last year!
