Rating: Summary: hits the nail on the head Review: Bill O'reilly hits the nail on the head over and over and over in this book. The average hard working american usually doesn't have the time to research and investigate everything that our politicians say and do. We depend on our journalist to report facts and not liberal spin. If it wasn't for books like "No-Spin Zone", many people who rely on the mainstream press and major networks for their news, wouldn't have a clue of whats true or what is "SPIN".
Rating: Summary: A Liberal Review Review: Those who disliked the book recommend it for the discount tables. However, why would anyone take the advice of someone who frequents discount tables? I hope these self anointed, pseudo intellectuals never go away. We need to be reminded of the type of people that put us in the world environment we have today. It's a good read!
Rating: Summary: We Need MORE Bill O'Reillys In Investigative Reporting Review: If more reporters asked the hard questions, as O'Reilly does, we would all be much better informed than we are today. A lot of reporters are afraid of offending the person they are interviewing and shy away from asking the tough questions. But not Bill. "No Spin Zone" is a good example of what O'Reilly is like on his show, and like him or not, he will never be compromised or intimidated by power or money. O'Reilly gets to the meat of the subject and never pulls punches. BRAVO BILL! A great read. And keep up the good work. Few things please me more than watching you make them squirm.
Rating: Summary: Get this book today! Review: Let's just first say that this is a very interesting book. Let's also say that if you are hooked on your average News Network, then you won't like this book one bit. The information Bill includes in this book simply isn't covered on the large media networks. And for that, Bill, I am grateful. I am grateful that you are actually shedding light on these subjects. The big huge media is very manipulative. They know that they can guide the American public by what they report, and most Americans fall right into the trap. The information in this book is very revealing, simply because they are absolutely HUGE stories, but sadly have never been heard of. I say sadly because they should be. They should be reported. Only Bill will do that. Read this book!
Rating: Summary: Insightful- right on the mark Review: I must first say that, Bill O'Reilly is one of my personal heroes. He's a great man who is straight with you about who he is, where he came from, and what he thinks. This book is in the same style as The O'Reill Factor book, and both are just great. The Factor truly is a no spin zone, and Bill doesn't let anyone off the hook...he doesn't let anyone he's interviewing evade a question, or try to cover up the truth. The Factor is about the truth, and it's what this country needs. The book itself, like the show on Fox News, is insightful and at times, it can really make you mad- knowing how the government steals our money then basically wastes most of it, or how corrupt some people really are (Jesse Jackson cannot hide anymore!) Bill's style is personal, you feel as tho you're sitting down with an old friend discussing news and debating the issues. A wondeful book by a true American icon. The only bad thing? The topics at the start of each chapter are nearly the same color as the paper, and it's hard to read! That's the only bad thing about the book, no way you could wrong here.
Rating: Summary: Another homerun..... Review: This is the book that is currently shaking up the publishing world. The views in the book are so refreshing after hearing the same flawed logic and reporting from all the major media outlets. This is the book CNN and MSNBC hope you don't read because it exposes their one dimensional approach to news reporting. The book does not endorse one political party over the other but instead builds and extols the virtues of individual/organizational accountability and responsibility in our culture.
Rating: Summary: No Spine Zon Review: I loved this book, I had a hard time to put it down once I started reading. I think Bill O'Reilly is a great journalist in the fact that he "brings to light" what others would prefer would remain "swept under the rug".
Rating: Summary: Truth Review: Ah, Mr.O'Reilly. Great book. I would have to say your truth is heard. This book is again excellent.
Rating: Summary: Love it! Review: I am hooked on Bill O'Reilly! I bought the book this morning and could not put it down until I was finished. The fact that O'Reilly takes on the most heated issues, both in his book and on the Factor, make it impossible not to watch and absorb, even if you do not agree with his tactics.
Rating: Summary: He's too much on TV Review: He's even worse on paper. He doesn't substantiate his wacky opinions with more than anecdotal evidence. He's a Rush Limbutt type who likes to hear himself trying to think! Luckily, I didn't have to buy this to read it.
