Summary: How About an Answer!
Review: Before I discovered Bill, I was so frustrated with TV interviewers that I all but stopped watching. It always seemed so WIERD to me when someone is asked a simple direct question and then speaks for 45 seconds without answering the question! I watch Mr. O'Reilly almost nightly and enjoy watching him destroy those who would hide from his questions. He's never unfair and respects the opposing view. This book is a compilation of some great interviews with editorial commentary about each one. An enjoyable, easy to read book.

Summary: The Truth and Nothing but the Truth
Review: Fantastic!!! The man who tells it like it is and keeps the "Spin" out of his interviews has done it again. The only bad part about this book is that it's TOO SHORT!!! Thanks Bill and keep up the great work!

WARNING!!! If you have a hard time accepting the TRUTH and live for deception and coersiveness, THIS BOOK IS NOT FOR YOU.

Summary: Always Right
Review: I give Mr. O'Reilly a C+. This does not suggest that he is average, but rather that he is spotty, sometimes earning an A and sometimes an F. He is half Sunday school teacher and half schoolyard bully; browbeating, finger pointing, and name-calling ("idiot", "pinhead", etc.) anyone who does not agree with his sometimes-arbitrary beliefs. If he runs his household like his talk show, I pity his poor wife and children if they should ever have an original idea of their own.

His major failing is that of most extreme right-wing conservatives (although he denies he is such); namely, he sees everything in black and white and is intolerant of anything in between, much less any view opposite of his own. For example, he feels he has attained his wealth solely by hard work, and believes anyone else on this planet should be able to do the same. Here is the fatal flaw of this arrogant position: his ignorance of biology, specifically the facts of genetics. The conservative usually is blind to the fact that individuals differ in their in-born capabilities. Yet, in fact, we are little different than racehorses in this respect. Some horses run faster than others, not primarily because of their excellent training and motivation, but because of the natural talent they were born with. Why else do some yearlings sell at auction for millions of dollars, while others cannot be given away? And so, as the sages say, while it is nice to be important, it is more important to be nice.

Mr. O'Reilly needs to temper his brand of morality with a little bit of tolerance and compassion for others, and to learn about the notion of humility. If you want an unbending authoritarian person to tell you how to think, you will enjoy this book. If you see ours as a colorful world of possibilities, you may be disheartened by Mr. O'Reilly's message and method.

Summary: Cashin' in
Review: Well, if you like O'Reilly, you will enjoy The No-Spin Zone. It is full of the opinionated straight talk that has made him so popular. However, I found the book to be mostly written transcripts of guests followed by a passing shot in the safety of the pages.
All in all, I don't think much effort was put in here, but you could pad the pockets of a much more nauseating public figure.

Summary: Pithy Book
Review: Buy this book and you may find it to be too thin. Fill in some other blanks with his other books and his Fox News show. His book is a fine start - to reach your own conclusions.

Or DON'T buy the book - all you have to lose is your balance (from the spin).

Summary: very entertaining, almost as good as the last
Review: This book is "telling it like it is" at it's best. So many issues that are sensative to most. This book definitly lives up to it's title. Mr O'Reilly always keeps it real in the "No Spin Zone" You have to read it to appreciate it. This is a book that everyone should read!!!

Summary: Terrific
Review: What a much needed breath of fresh air. O'Reilly's book is real, honest and true in every respect...and respect is what he deserves. As a jounalist and especially as an author he is PITHY. Each chapter was well researched and amusingly written. Can't wait to get a dozen to give as Christmas gifts.

Summary: Could not turn it off!
Review: When I listened to the first few minutes of this book on CD I was not sure if I was going to be able to listen to the whole thing. By the time I got 20 minutes into the CD I could not turn it off. I listened to the entire CD in one day.

GREAT BOOK!!!

Summary: Awesome book
Review: Bill's book is terrific!

Whether you are Conservative or lean toward the Left, you will appreciate Bill's commonsense approach to the variety of issues facing Americans today. He treats all his guests the same, makes them get right to the point, and then the truth comes out.

Much to the benefit of his readers, Bill champions on behalf of America's working class.
