Summary: Great music for all ages
Review: I bought this book/CD because I'm tired of singing the same nursery songs to my son and since I have yet to be disappointed by any of Boynton's other books, I figured I'd give Philadelphia Chickens a try. It's a great driving CD, which should keep driver and passengers amused for some time.

Review: This book/cd is HYSTERICAL! My 16-month old loves dancing to the songs, and my husband and I like to listen to it 2! We bought a copy for ourselves, and have now bought another 6 copies -- it will be our Christmas gift to everyone we know with kids (and maybe some without!). One warning -- you will never get these songs out of your head!

Summary: The BEST Children's CD out there!
Review: Philadelphia Chickens is a masterpiece. Moms and Dads, you'll be singing along in no time. If you're anti-Barney and anti-Wiggles, can't stand to hear one more verse of "I love you; you love me; we're a happy family" you will love the variety and intelligence behind this CD. Appealing to children of all ages, including parents, this CD is truly terrific, both in lyric and in composition. Hats off to Sandra Boynton and my only question is when are you going to team up with Pixar and the Muppets to create Philadelphia Chickens: The Movie???

Review: BUY THIS BOOK & CD TODAY! EVEN IF YOU DO NOT HAVE KIDS! It will remind you of being a kid and has GREAT SONGS AND LYRICS! "Fifteen Animals" will have you laughing OUT LOUD the first time you hear it! If I could give this more than five stars I would! The best!!!

Summary: Music for children that doesn't make you want to eat glass
Review: We've always loved the Boynton books, and Pajama Time has been a bedtime favorite...but you don't get the full effect until you hear it to music. We love the cd. It is fun childrens music that is witty and humorous for adults too. A favorite is "Faraway Cookies" which is a heart-wrenching ode to the cookie jar on the shelf. So much of the music for children is annoying, but this is fantastic!

Summary: The BEST Road Trip CD!!
Review: I purchased this CD & book to surprise our three kids (ages 8, 5 and 1) on the first day of our long summer road trip. The CD quickly climbed to the top of our car Hit Parade and we *all* enjoyed listening to it at least twice a day for the next 12 days!! The older kids could follow along with the words and music in the book and our youngest quickly learned to chant along with "patty pat pat, baby fat!" in the Bellybutton Song. Absolutely first-rate musical arrangements and performances in a great variety of styles, very clever lyrics (especially the patter song "Very Very Busy" sung by Kevin Kline!) and typically delightful Boynton illustrations. This will be a CD our kids will listen to again and again and we parents can keep on enjoying too! Encore, Boynton & Ford!

Summary: What fun!
Review: I bought this for my 7 month old daughter, but I loved it so much, we got an extra copy for the car! This collection of songs is great for kids - and the parents will enjoy it, too. There are many styles of music and voices represented and the words and music are all included in the book. Also makes a perfect gift ( I gave several last year at Christmas and they were all well received). If you want an alternative to the traditional music for kids, this is what you've been waiting for!

Review: I've purchased 3 of these already and am about to purchase a fourth copy. They make a wonderful gift for music lovers of all ages. My kids (ages 2-9) all love the music and this CD has become a family favorite in the car. Even my husband has been known to request the "Boynton CD." The lyrics are tickle the funny bone and the music is well done. Sandra Boynton, keep 'em coming!

Summary: My 15 month old's favorite
Review: My fifteen month old son loves this book and CD. He will bring the book to me when he wants me to play the CD. He tries to say "dinosaur, dinosaur" when the Jump Rope Jive song plays. He also like me to "read" the book to him by singing short versions of the songs. Warning: The "Cows" song is really hard to get out of your head.

Summary: Absolutely charming ... and it benefits Cystic Fibrosis!
Review: I purchased this book and CD set for my daughters ages (nearly 1 and 3 1/2 years old). They both love it, especially my 3 year old. She sings the songs herself even when it's not playing. Her favorites are the Belly Button Song and a song about someone with 15 animals all named "Bob". To be honest, I heard about Sandra Boynton through the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation website. I learned that a portion of the proceeds go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. My youngest daughter has CF and I am now purchasing the book to give as a gift for her cousin. The book that comes with the CD is beautifully illustrated and makes it easy to learn the words to these very creative songs. I highly recommend it!!
