Review: I have never read the book cover to cover but have been healed on numerous occations. Mary Baker Eddy's discovery make God knowable and is indeed a "very present help in Trouble." This is the Christian Science text book and contains the secret of the ages, how to learn it, how to apply it, and how to grow in a truly spiritual environment.

Summary: It opened up the Bible to me like never before
Review: When I first read this book it made many of the opaque aspects of the Bible clear, inspired and with re-reading it continues to reveal more meaning to me about the Bible and being. It has comforted me many a time and once I lent an only copy to a friend and she asked if she could have it! I had to tell her she would have to get her own. Now it goes with me, with my Bible, if ever I travel. It still inspires and has healed me of warts, flu, burns, accidents, financial problems and most importantly my relationship with my mother (who was healed of an awful leg injury). It's great stuff. Don't walk but run to get it! It is really real!

Review: I have been a Christian Scientist my whole life, and I am offended my use of the word "Quackery" used to describe my beliefs. Science and Health is a wonderful book desribing methods of healing much more powerful than conventional medicine. Many people are quick to judge, but they believe only that Christian Science means withholding medical care. This is ridiculous, and I believe that the reason is that the only cases publicized are the ones where it fails. The Christian Science Sentinal is full of healings every week.

Explores beautiful definitions of God and His creation while inviting self-exploration. Enjoyable to read. Not full of fluff, - it's very substantial. Review: Science and health with keys to the scripture, by Mary Baker Eddy, Has changed my life, In 1993 I Had terminal lung cancer, I was given 6 months to live. A friend of mine gave me a copy of Science and Health, and I read it from cover to cover.Well, 6 years latter, I am still here. I have since became a Christian Scientist and my life is just great. We do have the power to change our health.

Review: If you have ever yearned for an understanding of God or wondered how to the early Christians healed (and how healing can be still practiced today), you will be satisfied by this book. This book has changed my life...and in many ways made it possible. My grandmother was restored from a fatal sickness through reading this book. I am so grateful for this book has brought countless blessing to me and my family. If you take the book with an open heart and read it through, you will be blessed and healed too.

Review: I have been studying this book along with the King James version of The Bible for most of my adult life. It has always been a great source for insight and inspiration in helping me with my business activities, healing me in times of sickness or physical discomfort, and helping me with a larger understanding of my God-given supply to meet my daily needs. I highly recommend it if you are a thinker

Review: it's the most revolutionary book in print... It states a proof, and then backs by demonstration, that mankind is wholly spiritual in nature. What an incredible insight Mary Baker Eddy has had, years in advance of writers like Deepak Chopra, Marianne Williamson, and Fritof Capra. You should read this book if you're the slightest bit interested in the nature of reality, the search for Truth, or in your purpose for being.

Summary: If I were really sick, I'd read this book cover to cover
Review: I am not your typical respondent on this book. Most likely, a person of the Christian Science Religion would write about this amazing book. The book IS AMAZING. It was written by a woman in the l800's. In my opinion, she was absolutely brilliant, but also a "channel" of higher spirituality. This is where the C.S. would differ with me. The language is so advanced/awkward at times, and yet it has a breathtaking aliveness and beauty , poetic and profound that it cannot be overlooked as one of the most majestic and powerful books on healing in this century. I feel a kind of "electrical buzz" in my mind as the truth scintilates through my being, head to toe in certain passages. I encourage any one to attend a Testimony meeting on Wednesday nights ...even a non C.S. It is a wonderful testimony to healing that is lacking in most Christian denominations. My greatest argument with the author of this book is the amount of control she left over the followers...too much rigidity of application, in my opinion. I truly believe that God can heal us with prayer. Unfortunately, I do feel that many people are lacking the spiritual understanding as yet, to fully manifest such a healing. In certain cases, I feel this can be tragic, when doctors, who God ALSO Created, could possibly have helped. So, although I love the book and its principles, I hold a bit of reservation in how it is most commonly applied within the strictures of its church. Read the book in spite of what I have said, and be blessed! Linda Schiller-Hanna
