Summary: Great tutorial for a great program.
Review: Most people ignore help manuals unless the title ends in "for Dummies." Well, this one takes the approach that you're actually intelligent enough to write your name, and that you have a sense of humor. Because the author doesn't talk down to you, but is always ready with a quip to lighten the mood. This book realizes that if you're using a program like "Dreamweaver" you probably don't need instructions on turning the computer on. It is for people who are willing to think and learn, not just follow the pictures. Although, there are plenty of screenshots to follow along with.

A great tutorial that will have your website looking better than ever.

Summary: Great book
Review: Ok, i'm joining the fan club. But the book does a great step-by-step progression, reminding of you things you've already learned when you're doing new topics. It explains different ways to do things, and why you might want to do them differently. Finally, she points out the potential pitfalls of some approaches.

My only critique is that sometimes crucial "hints" are buried in the middle of chapters.

Summary: Dreamweaver 2.5 HOT
Review: There is, indeed, duplicate material but that is to be expected with nature of the application upgrade. Some may not find this worth while if they have Dreamweaver 2.0 HOT. I, however, did not. I have been limping along with only the software manual to guide me anxiously awaiting the publishing of this book. Lynda Weinman is what I consider the Web Graphic Goddess. I was not disappointed that half the book I could breeze through because I had taught myself because then the other half became challenging and fresh. Worth going through every bit of the tutorial. I did not tire or get bored with it. This is an excellent training device. I feel I got my money's worth.

Summary: This is one of the best program teching books
Review: This book as superb. I was quite skeptical about buying it at first, being more comfortble with IDG'S 'dummies' series. But it came highly recommended, and i though, why not? it was money well worth spending. If you have zlitch idea on how to create a webpage, this book will pull u through. With some experience with other programs ie mircosort frontpage, this book will teach you how to use what i consider the best web design program on the market. I pulled through the thing with the upmost ease. This book is so good it can teah a elementary sch kid to use. the only complaint is that it tends to get a bit long winded at times. But hey- thats why its the best book for beginers!

Summary: Good tutorial book
Review: This book is great for Dreamweaver beginners. It uses a good teaching method (allowing the student to actually use the features he/she is learning). The book is fairly well organized and the exercises are decent.

My only complaint is that the book uses too many pages reiterating simple features of the program. I believe the space would have been better used for a couple of chapters helping the student with the strategies and planning of a web site. Even though the exercises are all for the same hypothetical web site, the book doesn't do a good job of pulling it all together.

All in all, if you are a beginner with Dreamweaver this is a great book to learn the features of the program.

Summary: The most well written tutorial book I've ever read ...
Review: This book is great, covers everything you need to know about Dreamweaver from the ground up. Easy to read and easy to follow, with good examples. I particularly liked the movies section of the CD which teaches concepts that are difficult to express on a static page. This is an awesome text, anyone interested in learning Dreamweaver would do well to purchase this book!

Summary: Great book for beginners like me.
Review: This book is very well organized. The chapters and tutorials are easy to follow especially with the exercises in the CD. I've no knowledge of Dreamweaver, but after reading this book and going through its tutorials, i've manage to create great web pages with the program.

I would definately recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn Dreamweaver the easy way. This is a book for keeps.

Summary: Excellent
Review: This book is very well written. I learned more from this book than any other dreamweaver book I have used. A must for novices.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Very good book for starters and intermediate dreamweavers ..
Review: This book was a great learning tool. I have made one webpage with dreamweaver and I was self taught. I read this book and realized how much I was missing out on. The Quick time movies were a great supplement to the readings. I did every exercise and learned so much. I highly recommend this book to anyone trying to learn dreamweaver 3.0.

The only downside is that it left out a few commands here and there, but it is a great starter book.
