Rating: Summary: Definitely Worth the Money Review: This book is a great reference book for anything you need to know about NT 4.0. Anytime I wanted to know how to do something I would look up the section and then read the chapter. The book is too long to read cover to cover. That is why you need to read one chapter at a time, when you need the information. Best book I ever bought.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Coverage Review: This book provides excellent coverage of NT4. There are very, very few questions left unanswered by the contents of this book. Excellent reference for me on the job. I first checked this book out in the library and found I needed it for every day. Plus, excellent price AMAZON and thanks for using USPS.
Rating: Summary: Two thumbs up! Review: This book is huge, but spend some time to read it. It's like reading a comic, so easy to follow.I like the "How do I" section on the back, it helps me a lot answering my question. Simply put, the best book for NT!
Rating: Summary: This is the best desk reference/bible you could ever purchse Review: Granted, this is a fairly involved book, and lengthy, but it definitely fits everybody between newbies and experts. Before I got this, I thought I knew just about everything I needed to know...I was dead wrong. Mark also puts the explanations into ENGLISH! Microsoft press books are thrown in the dust by this one.
Rating: Summary: Excellent, but time-consuming to read! Review: I am new to Windows NT. Really hope I could master the Windows NT in a short time. However, this book is not for fast learning. (Bad!) For some topics, I have to follow the sequence & study one before another one. For certain cases, practical experience does better jobs.
Rating: Summary: Simply the Best ! Review: Mark you are "DA MAN"
Rating: Summary: Excelent Review: An excelent book, very good and clever written. The only think i could ask is more troubleshooting information but i guess that was not the purpose of the book.
Rating: Summary: NT Bible !!! Review: I use this book as a referrence and the ultimate answer guide for questions I have on NT. I also used this book to pass the exam on NT Server 4.
Rating: Summary: The Best Reference of NT implement Review: I buy many books about NT,but no one can help me so much.DNS¡BDHCP¡BWINS¡BRAS¡BDOMAIN planing¡Bconnect with Netware etc,it provide a useful not detail information. If u are really want to solve problem, that is enough, but for rookies is not a good learning guide.
Rating: Summary: Absolutely Indespensable... Review: I buy a heck of a lot of computer books in the average year. Many of them are worthless, fluffy attepts to market a product, or a blatant attempt to sell books by writing "conceptually" about the latest industry buzzword. This book, however, is one that I continutally go back to as an indespensible reference. Not necessarily a book you would use if you want to take the MCSE exams (though it is helpful), but an essential tool if you need to quickly get up to speed on NT administration without the time and hassle of taking classes. Minasi provides thorough coverage, practical examples and situations, and useful real-world observations. He has a wonderful ability to explain things with clarity, and a subtle sense of humor that gets you through the heavier material. I keep my copy close and hand and always recomend it to anyone with a desire to learn NT administration (and, at 1500 pages, it's great for building up your biceps, too).
