Summary: Best Technical Book I have ever owned!
Review: Having recently moved into the NT world I needed a good/solid book to provide me with an in depth description of NT networking and administration "how-tos". This book did that and MORE! The technical depth and good writing style make it the BEST computer book I've seen. This book is simply a MUST HAVE for anyone working with an NT Server.

Summary: MCSE candiates - Stand up and Cheer!
Review: If you are looking for certification, then this is the "all or nothing" book to guide your way. It can blaze a trail through the NT Nightmare into the enlightenment of understanding. Mark Minasi is able to take the complexity out of MS's manuals, and bring them down to the level of real world funtionality. The tounge in cheek writing style really helped me understand, and has helped greatly in the certification process. Thanks Mark - Great Job!!

Summary: A swiss army knife for NT Admins
Review: Clearly written and encyclopedic in scope, this is the first NT book I reach for when I have a problem or a new task to complete I'm unfamiliar with. The "hot" thing today are the dozens of books aimed at helping you to achieve MCSE certification. An unfortunate side effect of the emphasis on certification study guides, self-guided curricula, cram books, etc. is that solid references which go beyond certification basics are harder than ever to find. This book is the one that you, too, will reach for after you finally make it through the MCSE jungle and into the real world.

Summary: This is an excellent book!
Review: This book does an excellent job of putting complex subjects into common language. I have been impressed with the amount my knowledge has increased after spending 3 or 4 hours with this book. Great for your collection, especially if you are looking for an indepth look at NT Server in all of its complexity.

Summary: The best there is. Period.
Review: If you are thinking of taking the NT Server MCSE test, definately read this book first. Although it doesn't cover everything that you need to pass, it covers most of it, and in a way that makes you want to really read it. Combined with an Exam Cram guide, you are set. After reading this book, I was dissapointed at just about every other authors writing style for MCSE books, Mark Minasi is truly entertaining

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Awesome Comprehensive Resource
Review: I have not run into any question I had that the book did not answer. Mark Minasi's style is very easy to read and understand. I was a beginner at NT Server and after only a few days I felt I had a pretty good grasp of things.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Good for Adminstrators but not for Exam-takers
Review: Minasi's book is arguably the best book for NT adminstrators. It covers many of the problems you'll encounter in a corporate setting and is quite interesting to read. On the other hand, it's really not designed to prepare you for the MCSE NT exams. Minasi does not attempt to cover all the objectives and includes a wealth of information that you don't really need to know to pass the exams. If you're an adminstrator, buy this book. Skip it if you're just studying for the exams.

Summary: SIZE DOES MATTER
Review: Mark is very knowledgeable in NT and writes very well. But the real problem I have with this book is the deceiving size of it. There was no need to make this book 1600 pages. The inside margins are a joke. The book could easily have been half the number of pages if they would used normal margins and type size.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Very good reading.
Review: Once you start reading this book you can't stop. The author way of explaining and teach is so funny and you learn a lot from him. I recomend that you read this book to see how good it is.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Great Reference
Review: Plain and simple - Great reference book. Very good details and "real world" solutions but there is still some inaccurate information lurking in the pages. I still recommend this book for every Data Center though.
