Review: I've Been watching I Love Lucy since I was little. Then I got more interested in other projects of Lucille Ball. Love, Lucy is such an amazing book. It really lets you know who Lucy really was. It is so amazing to learn about her struggles and accomplishments the way she describes them. It is interesting to hear how she describes her relationship with Desi. Reading this book gives you complete insight into the most beloved comedienne of all time. I recommend it highly for all people, not just Lucy fans. It is a great book.

Review: I have been a Lucy fan for a few years. This is by far The BEST BOOK about her, & who better to tell the story, then LUCY herself! I couldn't put it down! I read it in 7 days! I really don't like to read, But I REALLY loved this book. It's like Lucy is talking to YOU. I WILL be reading it again as soon as my husband is finished!
I HIGHLY recommend this book to ANY LUCY fan!

Review: This is such a wonderful look into the life of such an extraordinary woman. It was nice to read about her life from Lucy's point of view, her love of Desi, her children, the show. It was sad though because she metions in the book how she felt that she didn't deserve everyone's love and respect! Come on! Lucy, you're the greatest! A true Legend!!

Review: I am delighted by "Love, Lucy", the autobiography Lucille Ball began decades ago but then abandoned, perhaps because it was too painful, perhaps because she thought it would hurt Desi. Growing up in the 50s and seeing Lucy and Desi weekly on tv, I knew they had the "real thing". Their true love came through clearly to me and reminded me of my own parents' and my close aunt and uncle's relationships. Although their marriage did not survive their cultural differences and Desi's infidelities, everyone who knew them say they loved each other to their last days.

In "Love, Lucy", the beloved redhead's voice speaks in a warm, genuine fashion to makes the readers feel as if they were spending a summer afternoon by the pool with Lucille Ball. Here is the story of her early days in upstate New York, her career struggles as a young actress longing to be the romantic lead in "A" pictures, her finding a niche at last---and what a niche!--as America's most beloved female comedienne. She writes of the great joy she and Desi shared when, after long years, they were blessed with a daughter and a son.

Like all of us, Lucy was only human and had her flaws, but in this book, her best side shines bright with generosity, talent,grace, and love.

Review: I remember the moment I opened this book. I was awed at the thought that I was about to enter into a whole new world--Lucy's world! I have read other books on Lucy but not one of them captured my heart the way 'Love, Lucy' did. It opened my eyes to her heart, her mind, her life. When reading it, I felt like she was talking to me, telling me about her deepest thoughts. Yup, just Lucy and me! No one else could have told her story...no one else could have captured her true feelings and thoughts...no one other than Lucy.

Review: Brilliant! (thats about the best word to describe this book)I absolutely loved it! The way she recounted her childhood so clearly is fabulous and extremely interesting! She really points out all the hard work it took to get to the top. I especially liked how it, with such detail, describes how she felt about Desi Arnaz. Her love for him shines through in her words. Also, how she spoke about her wish for children made me cry with happiness when she became pregnant with little Lucie, and then Desi Jr.! The divorce with Desi was hard for me to read and grasp. It seemed she really wanted to work things out, but it's disheartening when she tells about her hatred toward him in the end. I think deep down she would have dedicated a lot of time to reconciliation, because love obviously still settled in the bottom of her heart, and his. Buy and read this truly magnificent work of Lucille Ball, America's Favorite Comedienne!

Review: I am a huge fan of Lucille Ball and this book was a real treat to read. You get to know the real Lucille Ball. It makes you feel as though you were sitting with Lucy and she is telling you her life story. Her book talks in depth about her relationship with Desi and her successful career and all the ups and downs to her life. It also mentions the running of Desilu productions and her children. For any Lucy fan i recommend this book, for you really will LOVE LUCY.
