Rating: Summary: THIS BOOK IS THE BEST!!! Review: in this book Lucille ball gives out her heart. she tells of her entire life and finished writing it a few weeks before she died. she wanted to publish it before she died but she didn't want to hurt desi. it gives many details about problems in her life. i really liked it. i read it in 2 days and could never put it down. its a great book, you gotta get it!!! it also had many really good pictures of lucy's life. before and after the divorce. many good pictures, and a good book, why shouldn't you get it???
Rating: Summary: Brilliant Review: If you only ever buy one Lucy book, let it be this one. It's brilliant and fascinating.
Rating: Summary: I am the world's biggest fan of Lucy and Desi Review: I think this is the best autobiography I have ever read! Lucy does an excellent job of explaining her life. It's almost like she is sitting there telling it to me!!! I love the way she talked about Desi. You could tell to her dying day she still cared for him very much.
Rating: Summary: GREAT WONDERFULL BEST Review: I READ THIS BOOK IN LIKE TWO DAYS IT WAS WONDERFULL I COULDNT PUT IT DOWN
Rating: Summary: A wonderful book! Review: I really enjoyed reading Lucille Ball's biography. It was a great read. I highly recommend this to any Lucy fan. She was a wonderful and talented lady!
Rating: Summary: My favorite Actress, Speaking out! Review: Lucille Ball is my favorite Actress and my all-time hero. I read this book, only because she is my hero, but I like mystery books. Lucille Ball has a wonderful sense of humor, as you already know, and she interwinds it in her book. This book has pictures of her and her family, tells about her life, and has some secrets inside that were never told. If you are a Lucy fan, like me, you will not want to pass up the opporunity of reading this book. Enjoy, her life! Sometimes it is sad to read, but you will pull through it and see the REAL Lucille Ball.
Rating: Summary: Lucy's Best Review: Revealing her multi-talents, always sure of herself and a firm believer that she knew she would make it as an actress, or better still a comedian. Lucy brought up in circumstances that caused her to be a responsible adult before her time helped her in her career. Telling true facts about her life kept me on the edge of my seat and in suspense of what would happen next. I give this book a 5 star rating.
Rating: Summary: I Love Lucy Review: This book was a very good read. As a long time fan of Lucille Ball, I was interested to look past the fairytale marriage in I Love Lucy, and see the truth. Though alot of the truth is very sad, Lucille's humourous side definitly shows through. The only thing I didn't really like about this book was the fact that it wasn't very complexly written. Well written, yes, but of course she wasn't a writer, she was an actress, so I still give it four stars. To warn you, it only takes place up until about the mid sixties. Overall, this was a fantastic book. Great summer reading!
Rating: Summary: If You Love Lucy You Have To Get This Book Review: Unlike other biographies, this one was interesting from the start (which may be because it is my #1 favorite show and I am a Lucy fanatic, often tuning into Nick at Nite at one a.m. on weekends to watch two episodes). I knew Lucille Ball did a lot and didn't have an easy life before I Love Lucy and marrying Desi, but now I feel like I really know her personally. This book, written mainly by her, documents Lucille Ball's struggles through Hollywood and marriage and divorce, and finally marriage again, as she continually raised laughs as one of the most popular characters in TV history. This is a must-read for any Lucy fan!
Rating: Summary: Ball separates the facts from the fiction! Review: This book was written in Lucy's own words, and finally, after all the gossip about her life with Desi, we can find out how the story REALLY went! Told with incredible dignity, the story begins with Lucy's early life in Jamestown, and ends in the early sixties after her second marriage. Lucy speaks candidly about her love for Desi and their incompatability; it is obvious in the bitter-sweet ending that they loved each other until their dying days. A wonderful read!
