Summary: Great book!!
Review: For history we were assigned to do an oral report on an American historical figure. I started out looking for a book about an ice skater, and then Judy Garland, with no luck until my mom suggested Lucille Ball! It didn't take me long to find this book before I realized it was perfect for my report. The more I got into it, the more I realized how interesting Lucille Ball's life was and how much more there was to it than "I Love Lucy." It is a great book and I recommend that every Lucy fan read it! It will make you appreciate her a lot more.

Summary: Love, Lucy: No Words to Describe it
Review: This is the one and only Lucille Ball Biography I have read and after this I think I would be unspeakably dissapointed with anything else that might be found. Lucy put this in her very own words, and poured her very heart into it. Though Lucy is not recognized as a writer, she shows real talent and feeling. I felt as though I was Lucy's best friend, living what Lucy lived, and going through the pain, suffering, and love that Lucy went through. You will love this book and want to reread it often. A touching foreword by Lucie Arnaz is included and also black and white rarely seen intimate photos of Lucy and her beloved family. This book is a must have, even for people who are not Lucy fans.

Summary: We DO love you, Lucy
Review: This book is a very nice read. I always love hearing life stories from the pen of the person who lived them. Lucy's daughter did us a big favor by sharing with us her mother's words. It was just a shame she didn't write more.

Summary: The best book ever!
Review: It was super book that i just could NOT put down. Great for all Lucy fans young and old. Recounts her life correctly just as she saw it. Be prepared to stay up all night reading it, though.

Summary: Finally, the comic genius in her OWN words
Review: and not in the twisted, fabricated words of someone else. This is the ONLY autobiography Lucille Ball ever wrote, so it is a real treasure. From the minute you open the book till the time you close it, you hear Lucy's voice guiding you through her life. When you start to read it, after a few moments, your voice just sort of drowns out and Lucy's voice takes over. Relive with her her happiness and heartache, her loves and hates, her triumphs and failures. I actually felt her love for her kids and Desi. It just came shining through. The hardest part of reading this book is putting it down after you're done and realizing that that the voice you just heard is truly silent forever. But you can hear that wonderful voice anytime you please simply by just opening this heartfelt, extremely moving and touching look at Lucy's life as she saw it. She doesn't give very many details, simply for fear of hurting certain people who were still alive and whom she still cared for, but she gives enough to paint you a really good picture. I can see why Lucy would've wanted to abandon this great book, because she didn't want to hurt anyone, but I'm so glad it was finally found. Even though Lucy's body isn't here any more, you can see her in her prime whenever you feel like a laugh just by turning on the TV, and reading her own words and feelings in this book. Finally, here is a book about her without all the lies and gossip. This is the total truth, but she was never cruel or mean. She was tactful in her choice of words. This book is a must read, if not must have, for any Lucy fan.

Summary: An intensely touching and moving book
Review: I am 15 years old and I have loved Lucy since I was a child. I can still remember sitting with my mother as a child and watching this incredible comic genius in her element on TV. When I heard about this book, I knew I had to have it, and I dragged my mother to the local bookstore and bought it. I couldn't put it down. I felt as if I were having a one-on-one conversation with Lucy herself. After a few minutes of reading, her voice just sort of takes over, and you hear her telling you her story. She didn't give very much detail, for fear of hurting certain people who were still alive, but she gave just enough to paint you a good picture. She said just what was on her mind, but she was never cruel or hurtful. She was completely honest, but she was tactful in her choice of words. I felt her love for Desi and her kids; it just came shining through. She talks about her childhood, her family, kids, her tempestuous but extremely passionate marraige to Desi, her TV show, and in the end her lasting marraige to Gary. This book moved me to tears. I was sobbing. The hardest part of reading this book is putting it down after reading it and realizing that Lucy is no longer here, and, with the exception of reading the book, her lovely voice is truly silent forever. But you can hear that voice come through loud and clear everytime you open her book and relive her best and worst moments, her loves and hates, her happiness and heartaches. Even though she is no longer with us, her voice and story are, and you can relive the life of this facinating woman whenever you please, by just opening her one and only memoirs.

Summary: I Loved Love, Lucy!
Review: This book was wonderful. I have loved Lucy since I was a small child. She and Desi brought me many happy moments. In reading this book, it was as though Lucy had written me a personal letter. Her voice shines through! Her life was a testament to overcoming sadness and working hard to achieve your goals. What a treasure this book is. I feel very sad that she is no longer with us on this earth.

Summary: Great book
Review: I read it when it first came out and couldn't put it down. I am 38 years old and have loved lucy since I was about six. Every night I still watch I love Lucy like it was the first time I was watching it, but since I have been reading her books I watch them a little more educated about Lucy and the show. Thank you Lucie for sharing your mothers memories with us you really didn't have to, you must be a special person to want to share your mothers book with us. When the next book, Lucie? You sing so pretty too!

Summary: WOW!
Review: Words cannot describe how good this intimate and intensely moving book is. To know how amazing it is, you have to read it. This classic gives you a look into the mind of TV's most adored redhead. You'll find that she was NOTHING like Lucy Ricardo, and you'll find out how much she loved Desi. This is a one of a kind book, the only autobiography Lucille Ball ever wrote. After all the twisted, unrealistic and inaccurate things written in this amazing woman, here is the REAL story. Lucy has come back, with her immpeccable timing, to tell you her story, in her OWN words.
