Summary: I've known Donny for over 20 years and I STILL learned a lot
Review: I first met Donny Osmond in 1978 and I've had the priviledge of interviewing him for a magazine article which had as its focus his role as a father and husband. In 1983 I started working for his brother Alan, so I thought this book would just be a fun review of the family I thought I knew everything about. Wow! Did I learn a lot, and I really understand more clearly now who Donny Osmond really is. I've always thought he was kind, gracious, and generous man, but my respect for him has grown a hundredfold after reading his book. Whether you think you like him or not, I hope you'll take the opportunity to see Donny, and the entire Osmond family, in a new, more meaningful light. One of the best biographies I've ever read.

Review: TO THIS DAY, I GET RIDICULED AND LAUGHED AT FOR BEING A DIE-HARD DONNY OSMOND FAN FOR FOR 29 YEARS. PEOPLE TREAT YOU LIKE AN OUTCAST JUST FOR LIKING DONNY. MY FEELINGS FOR HIM HAVEN'T CHANGED SINCE I WAS 7 YEARS OLD. HE IS THE MOST TALENTED AND NICEST INDIVIDUAL YOU CAN EVER MEET. THIS BOOK SHOWS YOU HIS MOST SENSITIVE AND VULNERABLE SIDE AND TRULY MAKES YOU FEEL FOR HIM. I NEVER WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THAT SOMEONE WHO HAD SO MUCH AS HE DID, COULD BE IN SO MUCH PAIN. TRULY A MUST READ FOR NOT ONLY OSMOND FANS, BUT EVERYONE. I BELIEVE THAT IF YOU ARE NOT A DONNY OSMOND FAN, YOUR FEELINGS WILL CHANGE DRASTICALLY ABOUT HIM AFTER READING THIS BOOK.

Review: As much as I followed the Osmond Family careers, I read this hoping to find all the rumors to be false. It opened my eyes to how it really was for him in the limelight.
Glad to have the MAN back......the little boy grew up.

Summary: Amazing...I couldn't put it down!
Review: I have been a fan of The Osmond's for 30+ years now and this book shed alot of light on the trials and tribulations of being Donny Osmond...a talented man who never quite got the respect he so well deserves.I have just returned from a book signing with Donny, whom I've had the pleasure of meeting many tmes before, and felt compelled to thank him for all the wonderful memories and music that he and his family gave not only to me, but to thier legions of fans. If you're a child of the 70's or just enjoy Donny's talk show, take the time to read about the man and his life...you won't regret it. I personally poured over this one in 3 nights...a fabulous read if there ever was one!

Summary: Wow! You Must Read This Book!!
Review: This book was delivered from Amazon.com by UPS in the early evening of June 2. I began reading it within an hour. I continued to read until I could no longer keep my eyes open due to how late it had become. I was so enthralled by the story that I actually called in sick to work so I could finish reading the book the next day. It is such an honest and emotional story that my eyes well up with tears many times before I reached the last page. If you don't come away from this book with a new opinion of Donny Osmond - The Man, then you simply cannot be human! I had no idea of what was going on "behind the scenes", but, I realize after reading this book that Donny is every bit as sensitive as I always believed he would be. How lucky Debbie is to have found such a gem for a husband! Go ahead and place your order - you won't be disappointed!

Summary: Very Spiritual, inspiring.
Review: You do not need to be a Donny Osmond fan, or an Osmond fan for that matter to appreciate the message in this book.
Read this book, and learn about the Osmond's strength in their spiritual beliefs; learn about Donny's severe social anxiety dissorder, and how he copes with it. I strongly recomend this book!!

Summary: Not an Osmond fan but loved the book
Review: ...While I will probably never be a fan of the music I really enjoyed the book. I think there are some important lessons here regarding raising children in the entertainment industry. Lesson #1 - Don't do it! Frankly I am a bit surprised that he did not end up another casualty of child celebrity or head into dark places like his friend Michael Jackson. I was most impressed with Osmond's honesty and candor. His handling of his devastating career collapse as well as his social phobia really make for good reading. Somehow I suspect we haven't seen the end of Donny Osmond. Even if you run screaming whenever "Puppy Soldier of Love" comes on you may still enjoy the book. I certainly did.

Review: I AM A 16 YEAR OLD GIRL AND HAVE BEEN A FAN OF 70S MUSIC SINCE I WAS LITTLE SO I ALREADY KNEW OF DONNY ANYWAY. BUT I FIRST BECAME ADICTTED TO HIS MUSIC WHEN I BOUGHT JOSEPH ON DVD AND WHEN I HEARD HE RELEASED A BIOGRAPHY I HAD TO GET IT AND I AM SO GLAD I DID. IT IS AS I'VE SAD BOTH TOUCHING AND INSPIRING AND EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT A TRUE OSMOND FAN I WOULD RECCAMEND THAT YOU BUY IT BECAUSE IT SHOWS YOU THAT NO MATTER WHAT TROUBLES YOU HAVE TO FACE, YOU CAN STILL GET BY WITHOUT THE INTERFERANCE OF DRUGS OR ALCOHOL. ONCE I STARTED TO READ THIS BOOK I COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN. i LAUGHTED AT THE TIME WHEN HE HID IN A FRIENDS CUPBORD WHILE A FRIEND OF HIS WAS TRYING TO FIND OUT IF DEBBIE LOVED HIM OR NOT AND I CRYED AT THE TIME WHEN HE SUFFERED FROM SERVERE PANIC ATTACKS AND SOCIAL PHOBIA. HAVING SUFFERED THIS MYSELF AND STILL DO I KNOW EXACTLY HOW HE FEELS.ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT IF YOU BUY THIS BOOK AND YOU ARE NOT A DONNY FAN AND AFTER YOU READ IT YOU STILL DON'T WELL THEN YOU CAN NOT BE HUMAN.

Summary: Donny ain't smiling
Review: Forget the cover of Donny giving his toothy grin. He ain't smiling in this biography. He tells of his pain and torment of growing up as a child in show business, and also discusses his stage fright. What shocked me was the anger he expressed about people referring to his teenage idol years. Once he even tried to chase some "fans" who were teasing him, but, luckily, his wife stopped him. I gave this three stars because I'm not sure his story is over yet. He's a survivor and we will continue to hear about changes in his career as he overcomes his fears.

Summary: What a fantastic book!
Review: This is one the best books I have ever read. I may only be sixteen years old, but I have read quite a few books! The reason it is so good is because it is all true! Every single bit. Being a young fan I got to find out a lot about his past that I never knew. Maybe for slightly older fans they will find out things about him now! Any one who reads it will love it - it gives lots of thoughts on life that will encourage people to make the most of life and enjoy it as much as they can!
