Summary: I don't know why, I just don't like it
Review: I like 3 of the 9 songs. they sound good, they certainly rock, but for some reason I don't like this album. The cover is classic, The band was fairly good, but I don't think that they were quite comfortable with Jason yet, so most of the music sounds like it hadn't really been well put together or thought out.

Summary: Hard hard and more hard
Review: The first album released after Cliff Burton's tragic death, ...And Justice for All is notably harder and angrier than its predecessors. Many of the rifts are muc darker and heavier and the singing is even more enraged than before (if that is possible). Despite these changes, Metallica managed to release a great album. All of the songs are impressive with "One" marking Metallica's peak in music making. This album is the last album before Metallica "sold out" and as a result it is to be cherished as the last of the 3 great albums of Metallica.

Summary: ...And justice for all
Review: And justice is an incredible album, possibly the best. Absolutly amazing songs and alot of my favorties.

One is truely a great song, written with inspiration from the movie "johnny got his gun" is about a soldir wounded by landmine and in vegitative state and trapped in his mind and living through endless torment. Incredible musical songwriting.

To live is to die is a tribute to Cliff Burton, former bassist killed in a tour bus accident. This song is full of emotions and seems to be what metallica poured there grief into. Amazing song.

And justice for all is the title track and it does not disapoint, very creative riffs and great lyrics. this whole album rocks, every song rules. go pick it up.

Summary: Last great album
Review: Metallica's last great album. If you dont own this then get off your ass and buy it. After this amazing record, Metallica went downhill hard.

Summary: If it weren't for the production.....
Review: this album would be one of the greatest ever made. The only song that is mediocre is "The Shortest Straw". "One" is an absolute classic. The drums are incredible, the solos are amazing and the lyrics are metallica's best.

Summary: A Masterpiece
Review: ...And Justice For All. Its more than an album title. It is a statement. This album takes Metallica, who already gave the masterpieces Master of Puppets & Ride the Lightning, to the arena rock level they deserved. The epic One, with its melodic riffs turned into a pounding assault of the ears, is without a doubt the song that made thrash. It brought it to the masses, and that is a good thing. This album gave us Blackened, the title track, Harvester of Sorrow, Dyers Eve...what else could you ask for? MUST OWN!

Summary: possibly the best metallica album
Review: i own all of the metallica albums, and AJFA is my favorite one. all of the songs are good i can listen to the whole thing withour touching the skip button. It also has a variety of songs; you have "blackened," and "dyers eve," which are extremely fast songs then you have "one" which starts off slow and gets fast, and all the others are good too. the insturmental "to live is to die" is amazing, from the guitar work to the drumming i think it is metallicas best instrumental. It is not a cd you get tired of after listening it a few times either. go out and buy this cd, you wont be sorry.

Summary: A.J.F.A
Review: Contary to popular belief,'...And Justice For All',is not the heaviest Metallica album. Listen to the mix, there is no bass!Anyway.......

'...And Justice For All' was Metallica's last album of the 80's.Recorded after Cliff Burton had died, it was always going to be sombre than it's all-out predecssors. This is true, but opener 'Blackened' gets the album off to a thrashy start. It is here the mood and intrcacies come in.This is where the album fails. The band have tried to hard to layer the songs on the album, so they often fall out of touch with themselves as a result. The title track and trach 3,'eye of the Beholder' shos this, and it means the songs are longer, and repeat more to incorporate the new parts. Then comes 'One'. Argurably the finest song they have put there name to, it's a ballad-to-heavy song about a wounded soldier. Hetfields voice and Hammets soloing positivley shine here and it is an undeniably fantastic song.Yet,'Shortest Straw', 'To live is to Die' and 'The Frayed Ends of Sanity' are poor.

Summary: Best Metallica CD
Review: Yes, Master of Puppets is great, but I disagree with many...it's not their best. "And Justice For All..." is their greatest work. Forget the complaints about no bass (I hear it, maybe I'm tone deaf), Justice is harder and meaner. Master of Puppets is a very good cd and the title track is perhaps their best track ever--it's a hard and very good sounding track, in fact I've never heard a live version that's better than the studio version. Justice is f*ing angry.
