Summary: I've been listening to this record for 15 years
Review: and I never get tired of it. This is "The Masterpiece" and I hope someone will play it on my funeral so my soul can go straight to hell.

Summary: Metal At It's Best
Review: I wasn't until a few years ago that I really started to listen to metal. In fact, there was a time where I wouldn't listen to anything other than Mozart and Elton John. However, Metallica changed my point of view of the genre completely.
I bought Master of Puppets, via recommendations from friends, and I was blown away with the ear candy that it provided. However, it was "...And Justice For All" that really made my mind do backflips. The album is much more socistificated in the lyrical aspect than most of their other albums, and, despite many complaints that I've heard, much of the guitar work is what you would expect from the legendary band. Each song, in it's own right, is a masterpiece from beginning to end, and will no doubt have you coming back for more.

Summary: A Masterpiece. Perhaps Metallica's best.
Review: This is the album where James really found his voice and where Metallica's song writing matured and became more thematically sophisticated. All of this while still maintaining the raw energy and emotion of their previous albums! For example, listen to the album's last track, "Dyer's Eve"-- James' voice has so much power and emotion, the lyrics are powerful, and the playing is awesome.

Anyone who thinks that Justice cannot hold a candle to Lightning or Puppets, needs to go back and really listen to Justice. I used to feel this way too, but now that I am in my 30s, Justice stands as Metallica's pinnacle for me because of its sophistication and endurance.

Summary: Another Metal Masterpiece!!
Review: Before I listened to this album, my favorite was Master of Puppets, and my second favorite was ReLoad. This album is now my second favorite. When I listened to this album I was totally shocked. This album has to be one of the heaviest and most complex albums in existence (What other album has 8 and 9 minute songs). What really stands out about this album is that you don't get bored listening to it, in fact I want to listen to it right now. Although Newsted's bass is hard to hear I found a solution....GET A SUBWOOFER! This album sounds great when played with a subwoofer, it really amplifies Lars's drums and double bass kicks.

My favorite song on this album and all time Metallica favorite is One. There isn't many songs where you can hold up a lighter at one part then get into a mosh pit in another. This song really defined how Metallica felt at that point in their career. My 2nd favorite song is ...And Justice for All. This is probably their most underrated song, I just can't get enough of the crushing riffs.

All in all this is their best album next to Master of Puppets. Probably because Master of Puppets is a revolutionary album and And Justice for All is just a continuation of that. This album really showed everybody how they felt during those few years after Cliff's death...depressed and mad at the world. This album is a must have for any Metallica fan, it is their hardest album ever, and its still fast like their first 3 albums.

Summary: Doesn't stand a chance against MoP and RtL,but what does?
Review: This album is pretty good, but i wouldn't say it's the greatest. After all, with the death of bassist Cliff Burton(R.I.P),it's evident that the band lost a little enthusiasm and creativity, according to me,of course. Also,Mustaine didn't wrote any solos for this album, unlike on Master of Puppets and Ride The Lightning!Without that,Kirk Hammet didn't wrote mindblowing solos, with the exception of the One song, wich is phenomenal.
But hey,it's still agreat record. How can you go wrong with Blackened (my personal favorite),And Justice For All,Dyers Eve,One,Harvester Of Sorrow and To live is to die?The rest of the cd in my opinion is bleh...take it or leave it,but the songs above are great and it's worth getting just for that.

Eye of the beholders and One are the two most mind blowing song i have ever heard the cd captures you and takes you into this dark world. if you listen to it with headphone or with speakers totally blasted it gives you a sureal sound. i live the solo on one and the lryics are up there with fading to black. This cd is the best metallica cd ever made and it wont be topped. if you are not a metal head and want to discover what metal should really be like stop now pick up this cd NOW

Summary: THE DEFINITION OF METAL
Review: I had never even heard of Metallica when I bought this (tape) when it had just come out. Oh my God. Immediately with Blackened I was hooked. I didn't feel like my ears were worthy of hearing metal that sounded so good. I listened to this entire album and I was mesmorized. It was, and still to this day is the best Metal album that any band has ever released. EVER. Yes, Metallica has totally changed now, but this album defined just how talented these guys are. It's a crying shame they never again produced something as incredible as ...And Justice For All. It's the standard of which all other metal bands are measured against. If you don't own this CD what the heck is wrong with you!!!

Summary: i love this cd
Review: this cd couldnt get any better in my opinion. the solos are most excellent(to quote bill and ted). if u don't like this cd, go to an ear docter, and have him pull the cr@p out of ur ears. if u think this is just noise, it isnt. if u think im just a metal head, im not. i love hendrix and other things like that. if u think, u could love this album. if u don't, u will. A+++++

Summary: The best. Period.
Review: What can I really say about ...And Justice for All, other then the painfully obvious?
Metallica - One is considered by myself as not only the best metal song, but also one of the best overall songs of all time (I'm a sucker for ballads). To Live Is To Die is an amazing instrumental, Blackened is one of the best lead-in songs to an album ever, with that deceptively slow start that immediately gets you in the mood for some great music, and Dyer's Eve and Eye of the Beholder sure hold their own too.
Wait, did I mention Shortest Straw, Harvester of Sorrow, Frayed Ends of Sanity, and, of course, the epic metal song ...And Justice For All? Unfourtunately, if I went through all the great things that was hidden within these songs, I'd exceed the limit of 1,000 words, so for the last five, I'll simply say...
They're awesome.
If you like music, you'll like this album. If you like metal, you'll learn to love the musical talents of Metallica.
In short, buy it, whoever you are.
