Review: Metallica was at their prime when this came out, and they never turned back. This is by far, one of the best CDs' (back when this came out it was a record) ever made. "One" is the most powerful song I have ever heard.

No one sided fan should even consider themselves worthy of metallica's music. To be a TRUE FAN you should like it all. But I would rate this one of the best metal albums ever

IT WAS WHAT SOCIETY WAS AND IS LIKE IN THE EYES OF MOST PEOPLE. THIS RECORD TAKES YOU ON AN ADVENTURE THROUGH THE WORLD OF REALITY, NEVER LETTING YOU ESCAPE UNTIL IT IS OVER. THE SONGS 'JUSTICE' AND 'ONE' ARE TRULY SONGS THAT DEFINE THIS DAY AND AGE. THIS ALBUM WILL ONLY GET MORE POPULAR WITH TIME, AS THOSE DISCOVER HOW GOOD IT REALLY WAS. FORGET JETHRO TULL, METALLICA WAS EASILY THE BEST METAL BAND THAT YEAR. IF YOU BUY ONE METAL ALBUM IN YOUR LIFE, BUY 'REIGN IN BLOOD' BY SLAYER, IF YOU BUY TWO, GET 'JUSTICE FOR ALL'. THIS IS WHAT I GREW UP ON PLAYING THE GUITAR, AND IT IS LONG WAY DOWN NOW. EVERY TIME YOU HEAR THIS ALBUM, IT WILL ONLY GET BETTER.

Summary: Very Ambitious
Review: The riffs on this album are like no other. They all mould together into a brilliant concoction of metal. The lyrics speak of how twisted the world really is. The only things holding back this recording from being the most essential metal work ever, is the length of the songs, and the quality of the sound. The songs just get too long to be comfortable. Plus the drums sound like carboard boxes and there is no trace of bass anywhere. Definitely worth buying compared to other artists, but could have been better.

Review: I like this album, but "Metallica" is better. I like this album beecause first off it has good music to it. Second off because the lyrics tell the truth about society. "Blackened", "...And Justice For All", "The Frayed Ends Of Sanity"! C'mon, if this isn't the truth then i'm James Hetfield.

Review: This is simply metallica's best album ever. Unlike most reviews here i dont have much of a problem with the sound quality and the songs are the most intelligent and musically sophisticated they have written to date. It a shame that they have taken such a departure to this type of metal. The best songs are: To live is to die, One, Harvester of sorrow, Blackened and Dyer's eve
