Summary: Anyone for a digital remaster?
Review: Over an hour's worth of smart lyrics coupled with complex song structures condensed into nine intense and independent songs which flow together as if one, do much to make a case for "...And Justice For All" as Metallica's most ambitious work. However, the brilliance of the album makes all the more tragic the subpar sound production. The bass guitar especially sounds flat and lacks power. However, despite this, this album contains many classic tracks, the best of which is the epic "One", possibly Metallica's best song, and one of the best examples of uncompromising heavy metal merging with the mainstream. The rest of the album, however, is anything but mainstream. A blessing for a true fan, a nightmare for anyone else. I give this album four stars instead of five simply because the sound is so shoddy. When compared to most other albums, it deserves five stars, however Metallica had simply set unreachable standards with "Ride the Lightning" and "Master of Puppets" and "Justice" falls just short. A fine album, though.

I also would just like to say that this album in no way deserves only one star. If you do not own any Metallica albums and want to test the Metalli-waters, buy the black album. "...And Justice For All" is far removed from the sounds of classic rock. Don't buy it expecting "Houses of the Holy". Also, please don't overlook the musical genius of this fearsome foursome simply because the type of music they play is hard and fast. It is not just noise, it is intelligent music that simply isn't for everyone.

Summary: The absolute best CD i own!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: ...and justice for all, is one of those CD's, that if you werestranded on an island with only one CD to listen to, this would be theone. i've been listening to it for 10 years now and it still makes me want to thrash around. Great stuff.

Summary: just noise
Review: This band, as well as its members (Hammett and Hetfield) are as overrated as I've ever seen. All the reviewers citing this album as great rock music need to go back a couple of decades to the true masters - Led Zepplin. In comparison, Metallica pales. Period, no discussion.

Summary: AN EPIC ALBUM
Review: Never before have I heard so many good, powerfull, songs on one CD. This is indeed one of, if not the, best Metallica albums ever.

Summary: real metal
Review: Metallica rocks! They're views on political power and injustice is the heart of the album. One is the most powerful song that can ever written about the horrors of war. I have grown up on Metallica's mastery which is truly displayed in this album and contains one of Cliff Burton's final contributions to the song format.

Review: "And Justice for All..." is the BEST Metallica cd I own! It was the last cd I needed to complete my collection of all the Metallica cd's produced. After listening to it, I have concluded that it is even better then Black. A must to have!!!!

Review: Take your Korn and your Rage Against the Machine and throw them out the window...this is the real thing, this is what made metal...ten years later, and still nothing even comes close.

Summary: BOTTOM LINE.... METALLICA'S BEST ALBUM PERIOD
Review: Metallica is as classic as american pie. In an era in which we live in that includes music such as the backstreet boys, in sync, and marilyn manson. We can always look to the heavens and find our generation's Led Zepplin. I truly love Metallica and as far as I am concerned this is one of the best rock albums of all time. "And Justice For All" combines LOUD drums (positively the best way to describe it) and beautiful guitar riffs that makes us realize why we love rock 'n' roll so much. If you have only heard Metallica's latest albums and you enjoy them but there might be a little bit of that edge missing, lets face we all mellow out in our older age, immediately purchase this album. It is truly rock 'n' roll at its finest.
