Rating: Summary: Pre-sellout hardcore MetallicA Review: Second only to Master of Puppets, excellent songwriting. The last MetallicA album thats not commercial
Rating: Summary: Metallica's best ever album Review: The song 'ONE' makes Metallica the best metal outfit of all time. Sound drumming from the cool man, Lars Ulrich who I recently watched in action at the Big Day Out.
Rating: Summary: It is an excellent album, but has a few flaws. Review: There are a few very good songs (e.g. One, Dyers Eve, ..And Justice For All etc.), but not enough variety to warrant 5 stars. An album of a very high standard! Recommended!
Rating: Summary: Blackened rocks! Review: Metallica are the all time classic heavy metal band. In a battle of the bands, nobody could beat them. Kirk Hammett in a guitar duel could blow away anybody. Dimebag Darrell, Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmstein Vivien Campbell and the list goes on. He could beat them all. ...And Justice for all is my personal favorite release from Metallica. With songs like "Blackened," "One," and "To Live Is To Die" make it the best hardest rocking album from metallica ever. If you've ever heard any of Metallica's work and liked it, you would and Justice For All. Buy it, dammit!
Rating: Summary: metallicas last "good" cd Review: the sound quality on this cd isnt perfect but it adds to the character because it makes you feel like you are at a live show. the roughness of james's voice is rather comforting compared to the smooth vocals of the later recordings. get this cd because its message is one you will not forget
Rating: Summary: Every song on this album is heavy metal perfection Review: Not even one song sucks. This album is the best that metallica has ever come up with. They need to go back to the 'justice' days and stop hanging out with garth brooks!
Rating: Summary: WAy Over Rated Review: Besides One and Blackened, this cd was a total disappointment. All the songs sound the exact same after a short while. I'm glad my mom actually bought this cd for me(so it's not my money that was wasted) and I'm glad I sold it too. Metallica is one of the most over hyped and over rated bands in history.
Rating: Summary: The best of the best Review: This album is the best. Not a single bad song is on it. This is hardcore Metal supreme. I love the epic songs like To live is to Die, One, Harvester of Sorrow. You cannot get much better than this
Rating: Summary: Excellent combination of the furies of sound and reality! Review: This is what Metallica is all about. Telling it like it is and telling it with authority! For all the diluted people who don't know what's going on in the world, this album will shatter your senses! This album is basically loud, heavy riffs that tell all who listen to it of the harsh realities of pain, injustice and death we all must face. Definitely not for those stuck in a dream world.
Rating: Summary: Metallica's most complex album Review: What a way for bassist Jason Newsted to break in. Some might not know, but Newsted did appear on "Garage Days Re-Revisited befroe this album. Anyway, "Justice" is just that. 9 songs and over a hour of very creative bone-crunching music, Hetfield and the boys just went intothe studio and made it happen. "Blackened" is a great opening track very aggressive and to the point. "And Justice for All" at over nine minutes described the dysfunctios of the legal system well before O.J. The classic "One" how can someone describe it? Wow? My personal favorite and again almost 10 minutes in length "To live is to Die" the last written song by the late Cliff Burton contained only one verse. Without giving it away, the listener's take on deception will change. This was the last Metallica album with that rough sound and the last one produced by Fleming Rasmussen before that awful Bob Rock. A must have for any fan of metal.
