Summary: wow!
Review: ok, i myself am 15 and i absolutely loved this book. I really felt as though i could relate to Jessica Darling. The book captured me(and i am not easily captured by books) and i ended up reading it in less than 2 days...i shocked my whole family because i never read books that fast. I found myslef talking to the book and responding to the things that Jessica was writing about. I've recomended it to all my friends and the ones that have read it have loved it just as much as I did.

Summary: Partially Offended...
Review: I would have given this book a well deserved five-star rating, if it weren't for the stereotype atmospere presented on one of the african-american characters Hy. Anytime I spoke, she was always using some form of slang, and all of the things she said ended in 'az'. As a young african-american, I found this to be a rather incorrect display of the afro-american community, as I never heard anyone ever use the slang that Hy used.
Other than the following problems mentioned, I found this book very enjoyable, and I would recomend it to just about anyone.

Summary: Amazing Read .
Review: I'm 23 years old and this book reminds me of high school so much and the time I hated it. After reading sloppy first , I miss high school so much!

Summary: Greatness in So many ways!
Review: With the slew of diary orientated novels coming out, this one sure does make it easy to buy into the new genre. This funny book keeps you reading, even when you want to stop, while wishing for things to heat up between Jess and Marcus. I recommend this book, b/c of its greatness to retain the real perspective of a cynical teenage girl. I could relate to Jess in so many ways, b/c i can get sick of my shopping/boy crazy friends and tend to be quite cynical and the only person who seems to understand me as well, lives far away. The book seemed so real to life b/c i could relate. I highly recommend this book and its sequel.

Summary: Good Read!!! Do Not miss!!
Review: I was so impressed with this book that I could barely put it down. I highly recomend this for anyone that was or is a teenager and hated their friends, their parents and their life. Jessica "Notso" Darling is the epitome of a teen that is on the verge of something, she just doesn't know what.

Summary: High School In It's Truest Form
Review: Never has a book been written about the life of a teenager that was so true. The book is written in a witty way, with all of the dialouge and commentary from Jess Darling being completley perfect. The characters were fun and intriguing to read about. I could not put it down the whole time that I was reading it,and it is the only book that I have ever been able to read twice and get just as lost in the story both times.

Summary: Sloppy Firsts is anything but rotten
Review: This is just the most incredible book! I'm 16, I wanted a book containing a character that I could relate to and I found it in Sloppy Firsts. I love Jessica's cynical taste in life even though its nothing like my own...she is all that a suffering teenager is and more. I seriously reccomend this book to anyone, call me obsessed but I have read it at least four times and I hope that the sequel is this good.

Summary: Sloppy Firsts Book Review
Review: Sloppy Firsts, a funny yet realistic novel that portrays the typical high school scene in a very true to life manner. The book brings everything about suburban high schools to the surface; the cheerleaders, the football players, the "smart ones", the AP classes, the complex rungs of the high school social ladder all shown to the reader from the somewhat misfit Jessica Darling. The novel, which is written in journal form, takes its readers through Jessica's sophomore and junior years in a completely endearing way. Friendless and alone after best friend Hope moves away, Jessica is left to finish out her High school career with the "clueless crew"-phony friends who, in Jessica's eyes, and the eyes of the reader, are shallow, self-absorbed, and most of all clueless. But as in most fiction novels, there is a happy ending with Jessica succeeding at school and running, but unfortunately failing at dating and having meaningful friendships. However, among the many things Jessica learns throughout the novel, first appearances can be very deceiving. IN conclusion, "Sloppy Firsts" is a funny page-turner that will allow all its readers feel able to relate.

Summary: Hilarious
Review: Sloppy Firsts has to be one of the greatest books I have ever read. When i first read the title i thought it was going to be one of those trashy books. After i read it, i read it over and over again. It really captures the feelings and emotions of teenagers who see the world in a bigger way than other teenagers. If you read this book make sure you also read Second Helpings the sequel. Reading about Jessica Darling's sophomore and junior year was not only hilarious but touching.

Summary: All About A Teenager
Review: Hey readers,
I read Sloppy Firsts in 2 days that is how fantastic it was! I couldn't put the book down. It isn't one of those "sensored" books that don't explain everything about a teenagers life and everything they think about. In this book they show the real and true life of a teenager. Boys, girlfriends, lies, sex, family, siblings etc. These are all things that regular teenagers think and deal about. Jessica (the main character)is sort of a drama queen but that is what makes the book funny and great! I can't wait to read the second book called Second Helpings!! I reccommend this book to any teenage girl. You will absolutely adore this book. However, you may want to make sure that your parents aren't reading over your shoulder. If they find out this is what real teenage life is like they will never let you talk to your friends, go out with somebody or do anything every again. I hope that you enjoy it!! Have fun reading and good bye!!
