Rating: Summary: Any teenage girl would love this book! Review: I saw great reviews for this book so I ordered it and started reading it the minute I got it in the mail. This book is wonderful! I found myself laughing over and over because Jessica is like any other teenage girl and she has the same feelings as thoughts as we do. It's very realistic (for the most part) and I hope you will be able to relate to Jessica as well as I did.
Rating: Summary: A Must-Read For All Teenage Girls! Review: I've been an avid reader for as long as I can remember. I've read many, many books about teenage girls discovering their true selves, becoming independant, realizing that the popular guy isn't the guy for them, and learning other cliched lessons. I'm proud to say that Sloppy Firsts is like no other "teen" book I've read! Jessica is, in many ways, like a typical high school girl - she crushes hard on the unattainable upperclassman, longs for the bumps in her bra to be bigger than the bumps on her face, and wishes her parents would just leave her alone! Jessica's experiences are both amusing and, at times, painfully familiar. You will laugh, sniffle, and sigh as you read "Sloppy Firsts" and recognize yourself in Jessica and her peers.
Rating: Summary: What a Great Book For Teen Girls! Review: I was looking for a good book to read and my friend was carrying around Sloppy Firsts so i figured I'd give it a try. I was so engrossed in this book for 2 days. I finished it today and I can't wait for Megan to write another book about Jessica Darling,The Clueless Crew, Hope, Marcus, and Scotty. This is one of the books that you will want to read over and over again! The end of this book leaves you with such a cliffhanger! Once again I can't wait for the next book to come out. I really need to find out what happens to Jessica and Marcus! So i recomend this book for any teen girl that wants to read a wonderful book about the life of a girl with the same problems as you. I fyou think you have problems just wait till you hear about Jessica's...
Rating: Summary: ONe of my best reads in weeks Review: This book is about a teenager going through highschool or actually two years of highschool. We meet her halfway through one and leave her after the summer of growing up (involving throwing up on her crushes shoes just after telling him she loves him) and learning a little bit more about herself and her family. I recomend this book to anyone who wants and easy read and has the time to sit down and finish this in one go. Once you start this book it is nearly impossible to stop. I have lent this book to everyone interested in the chick read. My little sister and her friends loved it and my mother recomended it to her entire reading group. I love this book!
Rating: Summary: Sloppy Firsts - the best Review: This was one of the best books I have ever read! I couldn't put it down after I started. I've never been able to identify with a character before like I did with the main one in Sloppy Firsts, Jess Darling. She had to deal with many things I do in my daily high school life, one of the worst being cliques. She portrays very well what it feels like to be trying to fit into high school life, especially since her best friend just moved to a different state. Jess is also hilarious with her witty and sometimes sarcastic comments. The other characters are exactly like ones that I have known in high school. The jocks, upper crust, and druggies are all shown as they really are. Some books about high school can exaggerate or put too much into a stupid clique. I think Megan McCafferty did a great job on getting inside what high school students really have to go through. A great book worth picking up!!!
Rating: Summary: MUST HAVE BOOK Review: OMG its such a good book that deals with great situations and then there are like 10 cuss words which makes it more beliveable......its not a book where its a perfect girl...megan does a great job with this book and i cant wait till the sequal.....its my favorite boook
Rating: Summary: The Bestest book ever! Review: Even to people who hate reading (like i used to): this is the best book i have ever read! It's just what realistic fiction should be: relates to you but amazingly creative at the same time. It's scary how much anyone (especially me) can relate to this book. It's real about life and things that everyone stresses about, but also makes you think "good...i'm not the only one." You'll literally fall in love with the characters... especially marcus, despite his drug problems. i cant wait till the sequel comes out!
Rating: Summary: Good but depressing Review: I read this book in one setting. It really hit home and remined me of my depression through high school and college. I bawled through a lot of it. I hated how the ending left me hanging, but that's how you sell the next book I guess. I'm only 22 but the kids in the book made me feel old. I'm thinking it was aimed at girls a bit younger than me, but that didn't stop me from finishing it in a couple hours.
Rating: Summary: This one'll hook you Review: I think this is a book every teenage girl should read. The rich vocabulary and distinct witty-sense are enough to keep a person stuck in the bindings for hours, starving for more of the story of the depressed 16 year old pessimist who has lost her best friend and instead has an array of interesting characters to take their place. Her mis-adventures and realistic life's events are easily fit into anyone's lifestyle, so you find yourself able to relate the whole way through. I loved it, and suggest it to anyone really, even guys. And on a sidenote, I think we all need a Marcus the way she did.
Rating: Summary: A book every teenage girl can relate to! Review: This is the BEST book I have read in a long time!!! As soon as I started it I couldn't put it down. I actually laughed out loud several times! I read it in three days in every spare moment I had. I definately recomend this book!!!! Totaly the best book ever!!!
