Rating: Summary: A fast-paced, hard-to-put-down read! Review: This book kept me totally entertained on a long flight between Chicago, Brussels and Nairobi. It's delightful, and I can't wait to read the next one!
Rating: Summary: If realism is your thing, this is your book Review: Where has Vince Flynn been hiding and why haven't I heard of him before now? This story is believable, fast paced and focused. Flynn doesn't write with any wasted motion flashing back, forward or bore the reader with obscure fill material the way a Richard North Patterson is guilty of doing. Get the book. Enjoy the writing and the story which is first rate. Flynn is what Clancy used to be in the early days before he, Clancy, got too prolific and boring in his writings.
Rating: Summary: Best book I've read in a long time! Review: If you are as fed up with politicians as I am, and their total focus on saving their jobs at ANY cost, then you will love this book. Yea, the plot's a stretch, but I happen to love the solution. A real page-turner...I couldn't put it down.
Rating: Summary: Required reading for ALL politicians! Review: Flynn captures the sentiment of many Americans today. This book should be required reading of all politicians, particularly the "professional" ones. Once you start you can"t put it down. Send your senators and congressmen a copy today.
Rating: Summary: gleeful Review: great book. it has a great plot line and plenty of action to satisfy all but the particularily trigger-happy. i love the idea of SEALS giving a new definition to viligante justice.
Rating: Summary: Half baked product Review: A potentially fascinating story ruined by exaggeration far beyond common sense, long-winded and boring language, and simplistic thinking. This half baked product demeans the term "best seller"...
Rating: Summary: Awesome 1st Book Review: I just finished reading this book and it was great. Written in the style of Clancy, Flynn's characters make for an easy read.
Rating: Summary: A hard hitting political thriller! Review: This is a book you won't want to put down. If you are among the millions currently dissatisfied with politics as usual, you will enjoy this fictional account of people willing to do anything to change it. And they do!!!
Rating: Summary: A bold work at a perfect time! Review: Vince Flynn has written a courageous tale at a time where politicans are being exposed in record numbers for what we all know they are. The self serving particianship, the undeniable quest for nothing more than power, and an almost absolute greed that posesses the members of the hill are exposed and dealt with for America's sake. I felt the authors rage at injustice and his peace of mind in the explosive conclusion. Watch your backs Tom, Robert, and Leon, there's a new kid on the block and his name is Vince.
Rating: Summary: I loved it, my husband loved it, etc., etc., etc. Review: Thanks, Mr. Flynn, for sharing this gripping, believable story with me. As a conservative with tremendous respect for members of our Special Forces (no, I'm not a radical right-winger), I found myself feeling the same frustration the SEALS were dealing with in Term Limits. Oh, yeah, some of the targets were recognizable--and I loved that--and the methods used for imposing their term limits were pretty "out there," but gosh they were good at what they did! As soon as I finished the book, I insisted my husband read it (he's big into Clancy, etc.) and he loved it as much as I did. Even missed a baseball game to finish it...and our daughter just finished it and raved about it. She's always been into fantasy novels, but has now asked for more books like Term Limits. Shame to say, there aren't many out there as well done as this one. Hope Flynn will write more about Michael O'Rourk and his friends!
