Natasha Chamberlain dreams of leaving her role as office manager at Investigative Services, Inc. for a chance at becoming an investigator. Her dream is realized as she is presented with the opportunity to act as girlfriend and bodyguard to computer genius and millionaire Roger Valentine, who quickly develops a crush on the beautiful, but wacky, Natasha. After she bungles three attempts to catch the perpetrator, Striker is ready to send Natasha back to the office, but finds that she is just as determined not to go back to the desk job.

Natasha's wacky nature provides hours of entertainment as she and Striker attempt to solve the case, as well as discover, and attempt to cover, the growing attraction they have for one another.

Review: Beautifully fresh faced with uninhibited innocence, Natasha wants to shake up the world. Natasha, a.k.a. Nattie and Dudette, is scrambling for excitement and meaning in her life when she is given an opportunity to act as a bodyguard. Since Natasha is not one to pass a problem on, she jumps in with unabashed passion. Natasha is the kind of gal that would play chicken with a guy whose strapping his foot to the gas pedal. She is gutsy and blind to danger. She also turns every setback into an occasion to learn and grow. Natasha does and says what so many of us would love to.

Natasha, in protecting wealthy Roger Valentine, takes on the likes of a "gun toting computer nerd" with creative intuition and gusto while learning the ropes of being a bodyguard. There is a lot of humor with Natasha and many tender spots like the one where she rescues a Weimeraner named Brutus. She is a true humanitarian and the reader finds,when introduced to her mother, that Nattie is an acorn that didn't fall far from the tree.

The Bodyguard is a four dimensional captivating suspense luring the reader to believe they have solved the case. The author, writing in a lightening bolt style of energy, shocks the reader with a striking surprising twist. This is definitely a story filled with chuckles, tears, true to life details and a must know what happens next story line.

The Bodyguard is the fourth offering and the first series by talented author Christy Tillery French. The book is written in a seductively enchanting and charming style woven with a blend of humor and delicacy which makes it a "must read".

Natasha has a heart of gold except when she's playing on the soccer field - where she's out to win and out for blood. Her boss, Jonce Striker, who had Natasha pegged as a dainty, Southern belle, has trouble reconciling the career Natasha with the zancy, impulsive bodyguard he suddenly has on his hands. Roger, the reclusive millionaire Natasha has been hired to guard, undergoes a dramatic transformation under her guidance. The relationship between the two is sweet and funny.

You'll have a blast reading this book. Side-splitting humor with a mystery that will leave you guessing till the very end. The romance is teasing leading to sizzling. Excellent!

Review: French has become a writer that I truly enjoy! Forget Sandford, forget Evanovich, forget Kellerman! This writer is better than any of the same old', same old, writers. If you are in need of a new fresh voice in the romantic suspense category then you owe it to yourself to check this writer's stuff out! She's terrific!

Summary: I wanna be like Natasha!
Review: Have you ever read a book in which you loved the story and the characters and identified with one character especially? This book was that for me. Natasha is one wacky Southern woman with a chip on her shoulders who isn't afraid to take on the meanies of the world, either verbally or physically. A protector of underdogs, Natasha's out-of-control behavior brings laughs a-plenty with this book. Natasha has a real problem keeping her gun holstered while she guards Roger and sees danger at every turn. Striker, used to dealing with disciplined professionals, has trouble trying to control his temper when dealing with his wayward employee, Natasha, yet at the same time, is fascinated by her feisty independence and caring nature.

I love Natasha. I wanna be like Natasha! I had a great time reading this book - laughed out loud at times - and cannot wait to read number two in the series. When's it due, Ms. French? I love The Bodyguard!

Review: I became a fan of this writer after finishing her first 3 book, (Chasing Horses, Wayne's Dead, and Chasing Demons), the books were absolutely to die for! Christy French is just wonderful! And I am so happy that I have discovered her fresh new voice in the romantic suspense genre that I so love! If you are a reader (like me) who reads for simply the fun of it then 'The Bodyguard,' by Christy T. French is the book for you. Hopefully, Ms. French will turn this great story into a series (my favorite-type of reads.)
