Rating: Summary: I Want More of The Bodyguard Review: This is the first book I've read by Christy Tillery French and will definitely not be the last. "The Bodyguard" is full of quirky Southern characters with dialogue to match. Natasha is feisty and full of spit and vinegar, ready to take on anyone who gets in the way of fulfilling her job duties as a bodyguard. Someone is threatening to kill computer genius Roger Valentine unless he hands over a million dollars. Jonce Striker, founder of Investigative Services, Inc., actually thinks there's not much danger involved with this case and hires Natasha to help guard Roger. After Natasha bungles three attempts by the extortionist, Striker's all for firing her, but his attraction to her coupled with the fact that Roger insists on Natasha staying on as his bodyguard puts an end to that. After Roger and Natasha are fired at while playing golf, the case turns serious. Settle in for awhile when you read this book because you won't want to put it down. There's a lot of humor mixed with a little romance and plenty of mystery which left me stumped. Great book. I'm ordering French's others and look forward to reading this series.

Rating: Summary: A tale of Today's Woman Review: Title: The Bodyguard Author: Christy Tillery French ISBN: 0595308937 Publisher: Mystery and Suspense Press Christy Tillery French's name is synonymous with bestselling author and her fourth novel, 'The Bodyguard' is destined to soon top that list. French's fourth novel combines the feisty irreverence of 'Chasing Horses' with a memorable, multi-dimensional, multi-faceted character begging to be immortalized the way Evanovich has Stephanie Plum. 'The Bodyguard' is one of those books that grabs your interest and rivets you to page after page of intrigue right up to the final very satisfying conclusion. Using authentic sounding dialogue, right-on action, and an interesting array of fascinating players, Christy French draws readers into the midst of her narrative and with the finesse of a 'pro,' she takes you on an unforgettable adventure. If you have read and enjoyed Janet Evanovich books you need to pick up your own copy of 'The Bodyguard' you will be delighted. I look forward eagerly to French's next bestseller and hope to meet once again the entertaining, intelligent, soft-hearted and in-your-face, twenty-o-four-woman,' Natasha.' I could tell you all about the story line of THE BODYGUARD, but why ruin the adventure for you. I am proud to count myself a friend of this fabulous author...
Rating: Summary: Sex in the city/Sopranos/Desperate housewives...yeah! Review: What author Christy Tillery French has created in "The Bodyguard" in a novel stirs things up much like the popular TV hits; "Sex in the City;" "Sopranos," and the most current, "Desperate Housewives."
Bravo for writing a novel with flawed down to earth characters who have problems much like you and I have; menopause; date rape; jealousy; frustration; low self esteem.
French handles the day to day with dark humor, a welcome change from the serious tone of all too many off the rack offerings these days...
I am looking forward to future novels starring Natasha, the "I've got too much energy for one female so watch out world" character I grew to love and care about in "The Bodyguard."
A real page turning treat!
