Summary: Fun, fun story!
Review: I discovered the many talents of this writer with her first book, "Chasing Horses," and I was equally impressed with this, Ms. French's newest novel, "The Bodyguard." I think this writer is just fantastic. Now, I need to go and find another great story by her.

Summary: French Has Returned to Romantic Comedy,Funnier Than Ever
Review: I enjoyed Ms. French's "Chasing Horses" and was thrilled to see that after two books dealing with serious subjects, she has returned to romantic comedy, and is funnier than ever. "The Bodyguard" is chock-full of funny scenes, hilarious dialogue, and quirky, very likeable characters. Natasha is brassy and ready to take on the world. Striker is used to being in control and has a hard time dealing with the uncontrollable: Natasha. Roger is sweet, a man who thought he wanted to live life alone until Natasha and her two bodguard friends, Pit and Bigun, bring him into their fold and form a family unit with him. The North has Stephanie Plum, the West has Kinsey Milhone, and now the South has joined the ranks with Natasha Chamberlain. This is one great read. I was pleased to read that the author has made this into a series.

Review: I have been a huge fan of this writer since her very first book (Chasing Horses). I think as a writer Ms. French keeps getting better and better. Her stories are like no-other I have ever read before. Her stories are filled with action, romance, and just the perfect pinch of humor. Everything I read this genre for. Do yourself a favor and READ all of this fine writer's books, you'll thank me later !!! (Chasing Horses, Chasing Demons, Wayne's Dead, and The Bodyguard). I love you Christy French!!!

Summary: This One Deserves More Than 5 Stars
Review: I just finished reading this book and recommend it without reservation. Natasha Chamberlain is an organized businesswoman until presented the chance to play bodyguard to computer genius/multimillionaire Roger Valentine. Natasha's dream is to become an investigator and she hopes her stint as bodyguard will help her move into that field. She tackles the job with fierce energy and an overzealousness that keeps getting her into trouble. When Natasha isn't guarding Roger, she's on the soccer field doing her own kind of damage against men and women players. Jonce Striker is Natasha's boss and doesn't know what to do with this zany, out-of-control woman who refuses to follow his rules or listen to him. Striker is frustrated by Natasha's bungling attempts to guard Roger but also attracted to this fiercely independent, out-to-protect-the-world woman. When the two finally connect, the chemistry is sizzling. Ms. French is the South's Evanovich or Grafton. Her protagonist is wacky, quirky, and so much fun to read. The characters surrounding her are hilarious, from Bigun with his dude and dudette thing, to Natasha's mother, who has entered perimenopause and has gone from being June Cleaver to the Terminator. You'll have fun with this one. Wish I could rate it more than 5 stars, it's that good.

Review: I just love this SOUTHERN writer's style in romance. I have been a fan of this new writer since her first book came out and with each book she writes the stories only get better and better. I love the humor Ms. French added to this (her newest novel), I thought this unique addition only made this story that much more sexy! If you love romantic mystery stories then you just have to read THE BODYGUARD! I promise you will not be disappointed! Super Story!

Review: I laughed my way through "The Bodyguard" and along the way fell in love with the characters. Natasha Chamberlain is Southern, impulsive and zany, with a backbone of steel and secret desire for her boss, the mysterious Jonce Striker. Roger is a self-isolating millionaire who blooms under Natasha's wing while falling in love with her. Pit and Bigun are hilarious - straight men to Natasha's pranks. Stevie, Natasha's mom, a woman suffering a perimenopausal crisis, is extremely funny and a real concern for Natasha, who does not know the woman her mom is becoming. It was fun "watching" Striker first become aware of Natasha through her madcap antics, then try to deal with her out-of-control behavior, then become attracted to her. I read the author's note that this was the first in the Bodyguard series and I couldn't be happier. I look forward to reading more about the antics of Natasha and all the funny characters surrounding her. Plus, I can't wait to see what happens with her and Striker. Any Evanovich or Grafton fan will love this one!

Review: I LOVED the first book in this FABULOUS new series by Christy French!!! Summary: Novice Bodyguard, Rageful Perimenopausal Woman, Such Fun!
Review: I loved this book! Especially the relationship between Natasha and her mom, who is undergoing a perimenopausal crisis. Natasha wants a mommy but Stevie, who doesn't want to be a mom anymore, drastically changes her appearance and even buys a gun. While Natasha is trying to deal with her mom's severe changes, she's also guarding Roger, a multimillionaire whose life has been threatened, while trying not to let her boss, Striker, become aware of her secret passion for him. There are so many hilarious chapters in this book. I love the athleticism shown by Natasha as well as her toughness when dealing with people trying to harm others (or dogs). Or just lecherous guys in a bar. Great book. French is a refreshing voice in a genre that at times reads so much alike, it's hard telling which author wrote what. She writes at a quick pace, the dialogue is snappy and witty, and the situations Natasha manages to get herself into are laughable to the extreme. Another reviewer called her a Souhern Evanovich. Yeah, that and more!

Review: I read somewhere that Ms. French was turning The Bodyguard into a series. I hope that's true because I absolutely loved this book!!! The characters are well-developed and the plot had me swiftly turning the pages as fast as I could.
I will most certainly be on the lookout for the next book in this fun-filled series to hit the Amazon.Com bookshelves!
