Review: Natasha Chamberlain enters the bodyguard field only because Scott Thomas, her firm's managing partner, offers her a chance at a promotion to investigator if she takes the job. Roger Valentine, computer genius and multimillionaire, has been threatened with death if he doesn't turn over one million dollars to an extortionist. Scott neglects to tell Natasha that she is being hired as a hodyguard for one night, to accompany Roger to a banquet given in his honor.When Natasha finds this out, she strongarms Roger into hiring her as bodyguard during the investigation into who's threatening him. And that's when the fun begins.

Natasha likes to tote guns and play soccer. A woman dealing with a past trauma, she is ready to take on the world and protect those who cannot protect themselves. The chapter with the dog was great!

I loved this book - it reads at a fast pace, with so much comedic action, it'll make your head spin. You'll laugh plenty with "The Bodyguard".

Review: Natasha Chamberlain has a chip on her shoulder from a past trauma and is not above letting her anger rise to the surface to protect people or animals. Something that gets her into some zany situations and more and more trouble with her boss, sexy Jonce Striker. Striker questions his decision to hire Natasha as bodyguard to his good friend, reclusive millionaire Roger Valentine, but Roger is determined to keep Natasha on as his bodyguard.

There are some great characters in this book (including Brutus, the Weimaraner), funny scenes, humorous dialogue, and sizzling chemistry between Striker and Natasha. I'd definitely call this a feel-good book and look forward to reading the others in the series.

French joins the ranks of Karen Robards, Lori Foster, Linda Howard, and of course, the queen, Janet Evanovich in providing a funny, sassy read.

Summary: This is One Cool Author!
Review: Natasha Chamberlain is an excellent office manager, organized and good at her job, but take her outside the office and she becomes a whole other person: a dynamite soccer player who plays against men twice her size, a woman with a hair-trigger temper who is easily provoked but who sees herself as protector of others, and a caring daughter horrified by the humorous perimenopausal changes taking place with her mom.

Jonce Striker is a man of powerful size, used to being respected by others as well as listened to and obeyed by others. When he and Natasha begin to work closely together, sparks start to fly. Striker doesn't know what to do with this zany woman who won't listen to him and is overprotective of Roger, the man she has been hired to guard. Nor does he like it that Roger quickly falls in love with Natasha.

Take it from me, this book is hilarious. Natasha's a fun character and the way she tries to hide her feelings for Striker while baiting him throughout the book is a riot.

If you're looking for a book that has it all: romance, mystery, comedy, women's issues, suspense, try this one. You won't be disappointed.

Review: Natasha Chamberlain is young, impulsive and quirky to the extreme. Her dream is to become an investigator for the firm she works for, so she accepts a job as bodyguard to a hermit millionaire, hoping this will be a stepping stone for her. Not! Natasha's impulsivity keeps landing her in trouble and irritating the hell out of her boss, Jonce Striker - a man she's had the hots for for three years.

Lots of laughter with this one. The characters are fun, Natasha's antics funny, and the mystery as to who's trying to kill Roger a good one. I especially love the dense duo, Pit and Bigun, and the changes that take place with Roger.

Review: Since several have given summaries, I'll skip that part. I did want to comment that this is a fun book filled with wacky characters, hilarious situations, and wonderful Southern dialogue. Natasha is one of the best characters I've read in awhile. A woman trying to deal with a past trauma, which causes her to be overprotective and overaggressive. She's not afraid to take on her intimidating boss, Jonce Striker, either verbally or physically, Natasha can't keep herself out of trouble. The sexual chemistry between Striker and Natasha is great, building to a climax, then an ending that left me wanting more. The would-be killer was a complete surprise to me.

Mystery? Romantic comedy? Romantic suspense? I don't know, but believe me, this is one fantastic book. I hope the next in the series is published soon!

Review: THE BODYGUARD is a mesmerizing mystery with larger than life characters. If you only have a chance to read one or two good books a year, make this one of them! With a gift for drawing a reader in from the first page, Ms French captivates, tantalizes, and delivers a story with ease. From cover to cover, the action never ends.

Natasha is the seemingly quiet office manager for an investigation firm. Her true dream is to be an investigator. When given the opportunity to be a bodyguard, she jumps at the chance, hoping it will lead her into the investigator role. Nobody is prepared for her madcap antics while protecting her man. With wild abandonment, she charges full speed ahead, toting a gun and not afraid to draw it out. I found myself laughing out loud with her zany behavior and total disregard for following the rules. Her heart is in the right place, but her head keeps sending her off in another direction. What a delightful character! Add the dashing owner of the firm, Striker, and you have all the ingredients for an outstanding romance/mystery.

I highly recommend this book for anyone that needs an escape. Following the adventures of Natasha, readers will receive a hearty dose of humor, intrigue, and suspense with a little measure of sizzling sex thrown in. What more could any reader ask for?
