Rating: Summary: God Bless Savage Review: All those who give this book a poor rating never read it and are a good example of the enemies within who don't want you to hear the truth about what they are trying to do to this country. Pick up this book and read the short afterword on page 231. I guarantee it will ignite a fire within you that will make you want to read the rest of the book and join the conservative revolution to take our country back. God Bless Michael Savage, may we be blessed with his truth for many years to come.
Rating: Summary: a call to arms Review: This book is a must read for any true American. Mr. Savage unveils the truth behind the United State's biggest enemy: the left wing liberals. These "communist's" have declared war on our children(especially the unborn), our schools, our constitution, our family values, and more importantly, christianity. Most Americans are unaware of what is really happening, thanks to the liberal media. These liberals have caused much more damage than osama bin laden could ever dream of. I think the war on terrorism should first start with defeating left wing liberals, first and foremost.
Rating: Summary: THE SAVAGE TRUTH Review: I discovered Michael Savage a few months ago; since then I have scarcely missed an opportunity to listen to his radio talk show, "The Savage Nation." Like his show, this book pulls no punches, but tells it like it is. Michael criticizes anyone and everyone with whom he disagrees, be they conservative, liberal, or straddling the fence. This book takes a critical look at things that should be of deep concern to all who love this country - our school system, the American culture, moral relativism, judicial activism and political correctness. His message may be ominous, but his honesty is refreshing. Though he has a Ph.D., his writing style is unpretentious. His caustic wit is indicative of his upbringing as a Jewish boy in the Bronx, and subtly finds its way into his otherwise serious prose. If you are from the northeast, it will bring back fond memories of the good old days and leave you scratching your head as you ask "How did we get to where we are today?" More importantly, it will drive home the oft ignored need for the apathetic, but good and decent people of this nation, to become stewards of their government.
Rating: Summary: Hard hitting, no nosense from the new king of talk radio Review: Having actually reading this book I cannot understand how anyone would not be able to "take it seriously". Mr. Savage is a hard hitting radio talk show host who happens to be very entertaining. I confess I am addicted to listening to his show. His books, to me, are as entertaining. He backs up everything in his books with FACTS, yes, liberals, FACTS. Remember those? This book will enrage you and entertain at the same time. If the 9/11 Commission REALLY wants to know what went wrong, they need to just read page 80 of. I found myself reaching for the highlighter pen many times.
Rating: Summary: A passionate independent conservative.... Review: that cares deeply for the welfare of his country. Dr. Savage illustrates and uncovers the many sources of The Enemy Within, those who seek to destroy our country from the inside out. From the media to schools to universities even to distorted churches...and the ACLU (ugh), Savage hit shome with c hilling examples of anti-Americanism from Americans themselves. If you're a liberal, you need to read this. You may not like it, but it's the absolute Savage truth.

Rating: Summary: Savage Hits Hard, Scores on Every Issue Review: Savage does an excellent job in this book to bring the truth about issues home. He ignites the flames of passion for America and how we can save her. Great organization and detail!
Rating: Summary: Savage shoots from the hip Review: When taking on liberals issue by issue Michael Savage takes no prisoners. His language is direct with little concern for political correctness. Of course with any political book released today the reviews largely reflect the political persuasion of the reviewer rather than the content. I happen to agree with Savage on many issues and I find his arguments and examples to be largely on the money. If you are concerned with the cultural degradation of the US then you will find much to agree with here. The book is well organized and presents many of the positions Savage typically articulates on his radio show.
Rating: Summary: truth hurts the ones who dont tell the truth Review: Michael Savage's book, The Enemy Within, is a great (shocking) look at today's society. This book is divided into 9 sections, anything that you wanted to know how the enemy (liberals, not Democrats all the time but... well most of it) within our nation is undermining and taking advantage to reshape our freedoms in their view. The sections range from: Freedom, military, health care, courts, religion, minds, schools and colleges. What I like about this book is that it is extremely well documented -not like Michael Moore's New York Times citations (Good Lord)- because I went online and found the court cases and everything was there. Another thing is Savage uses incredible dictation and symbolism (For the titles of each of the sections such as "Schools" he puts next to it "Condoms on Cucumbers". Also the fact that he uses a thesis -which is about the Enemy Within and how to prevent it- and backs it up with not only facts, but also own personal stories, I thought that was cool. For Medicare, he uses a story about when he was with his father, and when he had to get clothes (pants) instead of buying pants that fit him exactly he gets old "dead-man's pants" which don't fit him, and then draws a pararell to it. With something so factual and engaging to read I did not like one thing, yes one thing. His personal belief about God. "God is a vengeful person, and should not be messed with." Being a Christian myself this is not right; God has an immense abundance of love and mercy. All in all the Enemy Within is an engaging, thrilling, frightful but factual look at our nation. I give this book a full 5/5 for being a true wake-up call. Oh yeah by the way all of you 1 and 0 zero star craps (Social Democrats) with your stupid "this book sucks" at least back it up like some descent people do, and at least try to help people make a "reasonable" descion and back it up!
Rating: Summary: Borders, Language, and Culture Review: Michael Savage knows exactly what is ailing this country, and holds no punches in declaring the preservation of our borders, language, and culture as the key issues that liberals refuse to acknowledge as critical to any sovereign nation. This book does an excellent job of portraying how the liberal agenda is eroding the moral fabric of America--for what purpose remains unclear--and how members of this group do not represent the majority of Americans. Savage drives home the point that conservatives, or just patriots who love America and what it used to stand for, need to reveal the the liberal agenda for what it is: destruction of something they don't like. To quote Savage, "If you don't act, who will?" Savage's book details the "enemy from within" (which interestingly, is a line JFK used in a speech given in 1961) in specific reference to their assualt on our schools, military, churches, and family, among many other areas. Read this book, then share its information with a liberal.
