Rating: Summary: Overall Good, Passionate Ideas Review: Don't take any review of those who haven't read the book seriously. The 'reviews' are clear attacks at the ideas of one who says things as honestly as anyone in America. Savage exposes them for what they are: Hateful little rats that don't want to be reminded of the reality that their radical liberalism is destroying this great country. His show is a wake up call for America and it will overcome those who would censor him if they could legalize it. If the book is anything like his radio show, it'll probably be better than it. We'll get to experience the laser-focused embodied thought of Savage's Great mind in objective print. I can't wait. UPDATE: I read the book, and while I agree with most of what he says about the War on terror and politics, his stance on almost encouraging a relationship between religion/God and government seriously bugs me. And this book is almost a Total transcript of his radio show, which because of his religious preaching, (sometimes directly from the Bible) I've not had the desire to listen to of late.
Rating: Summary: We need a Savage Nation! Review: This is a great book! I think libs hate him because he is real. He's not afraid to tell you exactly how he feels, and he tells it exactly like it is on the issues! "Red diaper doper babies" listen to his radio show and end up either converted or foaming at the mouth... either way, they keep listening like 5 or 6 million other people every day (and counting)! I recommend this book for all Savage Nation fans who love the show, and also to liberals who need some insight into their tragic mental disorder (liberalism)!
Rating: Summary: Refreshing common sense... Review: I love reading books that help you realize what is going on around you. The book labels mentally imbalanced left winged individuals and their companions in stupidity for what they are. Michael Savage points out all the anti-Americanism going on around us and in our own backyard. After reading this book I feel like a fire has been lit under my chair to get up and fight. I would recommend this book to anybody who cares for this country.
Rating: Summary: very nice book, but some could find it confusing at first Review: First off, I like this book. It details Michael's views on liberals and provides informative, and sometimes humorous, data. When examining how he views policies, you have to consider his background, which pushed him into the largest point he makes; borders, laungage, and culture as seen by the title. He explains many of the issues which may be confusing in the show, as one would expect, and includes various bits of information that people of any political alignment, race, or gender may be interested in learning as well as Michael's politics. The knowledge of what he says demonstrated by Michael through concise, direct points can be convincing for many readers and others will enjoy tangents similar to those in the show, which have helped his career. Michael hits issues with all the force he logicly can to prove the greatest points possible from the right wing, and I believe he is wise to do so. While I do not agree with him on every issue, I recomend this book to new fans who wish to learn more, old fans who want a hard-copy of his arguments, or even a liberal who wishes to find the perspective of someone who supports the right wing. To understand the book best, you must consider Michael's perspective and compare what created his bias to the factual information listed, because through his bias is how he examines data and transforms it into a political issue or opinion. His issues are valid and factual, his opinions from these issues can be argued, but stay within limits. I recomend listening to the radio show before buying the book if interested to see if you like the style so you will not waste money on a book you might not enjoy. The reason I gave this review 4 stars instead of five is because, though I liked the book, it is written a bit differently than others and I do not agree with Michael on everything he says and writes.
Rating: Summary: LOVE-YA SAVAGE! Review: Be prepared for all the true hate-mongers on the left to denounce Savage. Ignore them. Savage is a true American patriot with an incredibly intelligent mind and cunning wit. I had a chance to catch a glimpse at this book...it is ripe with truth and is very thought-provoking.Rather than turn to morons like Michael Moore who never even graduated from college, check Savage out who graduated from UC Bezerk -ly with 2 PhDs. Nobody can truthfully deny his brilliance and intelligence. He is a threat to the libs who do their best to label everything "hateful" simply because a conservative like Savage has found his voice and has refused to drink the Kool-Aid stupidity of the left... VIVA LA SAVAGE NATION!!
Rating: Summary: Breath of fresh political incorrectness Review: A book that reads well and speaks truth. If you're tired of your rights being suppressed by the likes of the ACLU and other radical liberals, you will enjoy reading this book. Michael Savage is someone who is not afraid to use his First Amendment Rights, definitely telling it like it is.
Rating: Summary: An American Original Review: Michael Savage has a message, and it seems to be resonating with the people of the USA. Witness the phenomenal success of his radio talk show...followed by the rise of his book to the stratosphere of the best seller list on Amazon. The premise of his message is "Borders, Language and Culture" as the glue that holds a country together. In his new book, Michael articulates with style and a since of humor the threats to our great nation. From terrorists practicing "the religion of peace"...crazy leftists who want to trump our sovereignty in place of some utopian world government. Fumbling government bumblecrats that have simply failed to protect the people of this land. There is no doubt that Michael has raised the hackles on a few liberals. A sure sign that he is exposing the nakedness of the emperors of the liberal media, governmental and academic establishments. One often overlooked talents of Mr. Savage is his sense of humor. Besides being highly intelligent, and a great student of world history. Mr. Savage is an incredibly funny individual. "The Savage Nation" comes highly reccomended as a map and field guide to navigating the festering bog of political correctness and liberal platitudes that are putting the survival of our nation at great risk. Mr. Savage outlines it himself, that only a more "Savage Nation" can survive.
Rating: Summary: A pathetic excuse of a book Review: Any one who listens to Savage (that's not his real name, by the way. Its Michael Wiener) for an hour would know that he's terminally ego-maniacal and perennially offensive. There's nothing new he's got to offer in this "book" other than his usual racist rants and bigoted half-truths. This is the guy who claims that the Republican Party has lifted the phrase he had coined, "Compassionate Conservative"! Even I, a staunch Republican, thought that this book is a steaming pile of you-know-what. If you are not a racist, a homophobe or a hypocrite, there is very little chance that you'll like this book. If you still are curious to know what the creative genius has written, wait a while. This book will soon be available, used, at a fraction of what it costs you now.
