Summary: Mr Savage strikes gold with this fantastic book
Review: Mr. Savage's writing style is refreshing because it is so down to earth. He writes as if he where sitting in the room, talking directly to you. His hard-line approach to liberalism is right on the money, and this book is a must have for anyone tired of political correctness. While on the surface he may come across as harsh, seeming to have a callous indifference to the suffering of others, in truth he is like a devoted but stern parent trying to correct inappropriate behavior in a beloved child. America needs more, no nonsense patriots like Mr. Savage! Mr. Savage, if you read this, BRAVO and GOD BLESS!

Summary: A sad, sad man
Review: I am not surprised to see this book relegated to the bargain bin. I checked it out of the library - good thing, because it's not worth the paper it's printed on. At first I didn't think I could finish it - it actually made my stomach turn to read the vitriol Mr. Savage spouts. I had to put it away several times and talk myself into coming back to it, because I felt I had to finish it to give it an honest review. Finally it dawned on me that, for whatever reason, Michael Savage is one of those people who needs to tear others down to make himself feel bigger, and that made it easier to get through because I stopped taking him seriously. I don't care for most conservative talk show hosts, but I don't doubt Rush Limbaugh's or Tony Snow's self-esteem. They seem happy with their lives and genuinely want to make this country better (by their standards). They at least offer constructive ideas for change. Mr. Savage just seems unhappy with life - he is so negative and down on *everything*, that I wonder how he gets up every morning to face another horrible day where nothing is the way he wants it, yet he won't do anything positive to change it. Instead he incites others to feel as awful as he does. If that is what you want from your time and money, then buy this book now that it is cheaper. If you want a conservative approach to positive change, however, there are many better options.

Summary: I Love The Taste Of Liberals For Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner!!
Review:
It's pitifully dislikeable how the liberal-appeasers flooding Savage's book's reviews with misappropriated reviews assailing Savage the person are SO IDIOTICALLY AND PRECISELY committing the EXACT SAME offenses that Savage unmasks and scathes them for in his book. These liberal-appeasers are THE most stumblingly predictable cliché of self-defeating idiotism, that it's not funny anymore. Proving Savage's adroit gift for humiliating people who've earned his derision by their actions of anti-American injuring of the country, these few, threatened liberal-appeasers who narrow-mindedly derogate Savage due to his proper yet blunt views about illegals, gays, Middle Eastern men, "equality" quotas, liberal-media treachery, religion, sex and abortion embody the fact that LIBERALISM IS A MENTAL ILLNESS!!!! These RDDBs (Red Diaper Doper Babies) hiding their distressful attacks on Savage as reviews are irrecoverably oblivious to the fact that their misconduct of branding Savage from anything like "homophobe" to "racist" is EXACTLY disclosing how forcibly their politically correct, liberal mindset has continued to perpetrate the very lapses in practical thinking that Savage lectures them on, and actually incriminatingly ENFORCED Savage's dissection of the faults within liberalism.

Tragically, the prime reason liberal-appeasers dislike Savage is because he, rightfully, doesn't worry about committing the excessive, liberal-invented tarnishes that inconvenience people from functioning efficiently, such as disingenuously "hurting" people's feelings-which liberal-appeasers blatantly trouble themselves with. If there's factual truth concealed because it's defamed as "being offensive" to any particular group, Savage WILL confrontationally challenge it-and most of the time, he's always correct!!!! Take Savage's PROGRESSIVE views about San Francisco, for one, proven in the last weeks to be THE headquarters for liberal indecency. Savage properly reprehends SF for its irreparably, psychotically liberal policies massacring the public interest due to the city's unstably, imitatively "sensitive", liberal officials. SF commits the atrocity of subsidizing SEX-CHANGE OPERATIONS. Never mind that the money's squandered from being used for necessary programs; SF forces its taxpayers to pay for psycho nymphs who're suffering an identity crisis!!!! Hazardously, liberal-appeasers like the threatened automatons who falsify reviews to denigrate Savage would insult Savage as not "sensitive" enough to bisexuals, "afraid" of hermaphrodites, or "discriminatory" against chicks with dikks for professing outrage at SF's brutally misbehaving bureaucrats who indefensibly misallocate sex-change operations as being the same as "civil rights"-something abject because sex-changes are gratuitous.

Likewise, when Savage scolds the weighty unbridledness of illegals stealthily storming through the borders, he's not only 100% RIGHT; liberal-drones such as the wretchedly reactionary Savage-intolerants among these reviews would frightfully dishonor Savage as "racist", "unfeeling", an "immigrant-basher", or ANY of the other thousand, premeditated, and untaught stigmas liberals misuse in their arsenal. The contaminating bane of illegal immigrants has been authoritatively documented broadly, with Savage simply reinforcing said undeniable facts!!!! If you're schooled, unlike these harassing vermin who pose as reviewers to degradedly poison the integrity of reviews, you'd have read that illegals are THE reason for why certain hospitals are going bankrupt, Americans and legal immigrants are getting robbed to pay for illegals' FREE healthcare, schooling, and language-preservation, and, in the most gloomy prospects, even TAKING AMERICAN JOBS AWAY, particularly now when Americans may well care about even low-paying jobs, due to outsourcing.

Being the disconcertingly public-opinion-intimidated automatons they are, liberals would self-righteously admonish Savage as "homophobic", "gay bashing", or "intolerant" for RIGHTFULLY persisting his public health concerns above the sanctimonious "feelings" of gays!!!! Savage justly contends that gays should continue being banned from blood donation because they're indisputably THE HIGHEST demographic of risk for blood contamination. Savage also scathes one of SF's unrepentantly liberal apologists, a city `stupidvisor' (a taste of Savage's witty humor) who was culpably impending misbehavior in his capacity. This maltreating official was perilously going to risk SF's blood supply, and feebly cried about the fallacious "discrimination" gays had to endure by fighting to have gays' restrictions on blood donations removed, because he, like ALL liberal swine, misappropriates special interest pressure from gay lobbies that could potentially aid him in election, and worries about unscrupulous P.R. damage ABOVE public interest!!!! Firstly, gays aren't the only ones "discriminated" against; blood bans constrain junkies, prostitutes, people who've had sex with the prior two in the past year, and people who've lived or visited several, different African countries since 1977. Savage is 100% concerned about the public's safety when he defensibly assails gays in this context. Studies have inarguably shown that, since 1999, sodomites have had their infection rates for HIV explode 17% compared to 7% for heterosexuals. Sodomites are also the riskiest group for contracting AIDS due to their indiscriminateness, galvanized by their higher tendency to use methamphetamine, which increases their hazardousness for AIDS contraction threefold. Additionally, other STDs like syphilis are also increasing substantially, with the majority blamed on sodomites!!!!

Direly for liberals and all other varmint of the same subserviently weak-minded mentality, Savage is a commentator who doesn't treat anyone with kid gloves, or spare feelings-both calamitous ordeals for liberals, because they get so irredeemably malcontent in debate when their politically correct, hypocritical "speech codes", minority coddling, "equality" quotas, "reparation" clauses, victimology peddling, misappropriating them an unfair advantage, get banned. The most incisive way to describe Savage's communication is one excluding bull$hit-unlike the infamously many tarnishes liberal double-speakers misuse when trying to unwarrantably defend their sick ideologies-just clear-cut, unassuming bluntness!!!! This creditability elevates Savage's voice as absolutely refreshing and LONG-NEEDED in today's American discourse. Venomously, this straightforwardness from Savage is specifically what, unrighteously, liberals are allergic to!!!! Before bigotedly reactionary liberals think of stooping to the same slurs sanctimonious hypocrites misuse against Savage's practicality of refusing to sugarcoat facts-like "hatemonger", "homophobe" or "bully"-they should NEVER forget that Dr. Savage is light years ahead of them in education, the inglorious department wherein liberals struggle the worst, judging by their defective ideologies' premier figureheads: ONLY actors!!!! Savage's dislike of liberalism is given authoritative validity by his own experiences at liberalism's unsympathetic hands, wherein he suffered discrimination from being awarded his PHD because there weren't "enough" representatives of a certain minority at unsavory Berkeley.

Summary: The Savage Weiner
Review: This book proves that any fool can write a book, no matter how hateful or deranged they might be. All they need is a willing publisher. Or enough money to pull it off without one.

The fact that slime like Weiner haven't had massive strokes
confining them to sit silently in wheelchairs while their Jamaican nurse watches Wheel of Fortune and ignores them is solid proof of the non-existence of any kind of God.

Of course, should such a thing happen to them, it will be proof that there is a God.

Summary: Hate as Contagion
Review: Michael Savage makes no bones about the hatred he harbors for much of his fellow man, who in this book are each categorically labeled and lumped into the liberal camp. How he reconciles his hatred and unbridled rancor with his proclaimed devotion to Christianity is left to the reader to puzzle out--Mr. Savage apparently sees no fundamental contradiction.

It has been often suggested that everyman's philosophy stands as a personal memoir, a confession. This easily applies to Mr. Savage, who in the first chapter seems subconsciously compelled to confess to the reader critical personal factors that go a long way in understanding what then follows in the form of diatribe that at times reaches such a level of frenzy that it borders on incoherence. What does he confess? Mr. Savage describes a childhood of formative experiences which amount to what we might term in psychobabblese as "chronic narcissistic injury." Perhaps it is put best by Mr. Savage himself who says, "I was raised on neglect, anger, and hate. I was raised the old-fashioned way...You've got to raise your kids tough" (p. 3). Mr. Savage continues by describing his family as one that would "rather die" than affirm one another and growing up within a "Lord of the Flies" neighborhood where he learned to avoid daily humiliation through wit and vigilance. In and outside of his family, Mr. Savage learned to value toughness and to contemptuously regard any show of sensitivity, "anger management," open-mindedness as the kind of weakness that has brought about a "homosexualized, feminized America" (p. 7).

Mr. Savage fancies himself to be a righteous crusader who is on a mission to cleanse America of the money changers, liberals, and inferior forms of subhuman trash that are infecting HIS great culture. Despite all his bravado, grandiosity, rabble rousing, and all the like-minded sycophants ("sheeple") who sing his praises, Mr. Savage is far from tough or courageous in any true moral sense. Rather, he hides behind malignant defenses There is nothing strong or macho about the moral cowardice expressed in this book. Instead there is a fear to reckon with his own fears and insecurities. Mr. Savage takes the path of least resistance that all bullies take by turning his inner torment outward and inflicting it onto others. And like any bully, be they wife-beaters, cross-burners, or authoritarian despots, it is important to not mistake infantile rage for masculine fortitude.

Mr. Savage's polarizing hyperbole would hardly deserve serious consideration if it were not for the fact that this level of herd morality discourse enjoys bestseller popularity. The essential question posed by Savage is if we don't hold to strict conservative and fundamental religious law, what will become of our morality, sense of decency, distinction between right and wrong, good and evil? Mr. Savage attacks the liberal straw man for rejecting religion and putting their faith instead in science.

Well science may not be the answer but perhaps love is-love that specifically translates into caring for one another in such a way that personal dignity and validity is honored and each person is supportively empowered to develop and take full responsibility for themselves. When this is applied by parents, children can grow up with a secure base and requisite self-esteem necessary to develop an internal sense of moral integrity that is integrated and remains robust in and out of season and less susceptible to external rewards and punishments. Morality that is forcefully imposed on one from external authority, especially if that authority fails to love and respect the individual, remains superficial, unintegrated, and externally rooted. One has to wonder if German culture, as theologically and philosophically advanced as it was, proved to be so susceptible to a totalitarian source of authority like Nazism because of such an overemphasis on external authority at the expense of nurturing individual moral accountability and sensitivity. Sadly, this is also true Mr. Savage's experience who like so many so-called conservatives press for strict conformity to superficial standards of "morality" and "patriotism" while doing nothing about the paranoid hate in their hearts.

Summary: Irrational tripe.
Review: I would have been happier, and just as fully convinced of Michael Savage's arguments, if I'd read two hundred blank pages instead of having to plow through this cruel, bitter, and pointless rant. While Savage does a fine job of sounding angry, indignant, and irrational, and while he uses plenty of painfully stupid plays on words (Democrats = "Demoncats," ha ha), his greatest achievement is writing an entire book without having to stoop so low as to actually use FACTS in his arguments. The whole book reads more or less like this:

1) Liberals are destroying America.
2) They're doing that because they hate America.
3) How do I know liberals hate America? Because they're destroying it.
4) How do I know that liberals are the ones destroying America? Well, duh, it's because they're the ones that hate it. I've already proved this.
5) I am great.

I'm sorry, but even the most sensible arguments (for example, "liberals often have two legs" or "conservatives are carbon-based lifeforms") have to have some sort of backing evidence to be useful or convincing. And it's very possible that Savage provides some sort of evidence in his radio show, or in some other books, or somewhere. But there isn't a scrap of it in "The Savage Truth."

I'm sure there are plenty of sensible, thoughtful, well-spoken conservatives out there that are writing very good books in defense of the ways they think and act. Judging just by this book, Michael Savage isn't one of them. Frankly, if I wanted to write a book to give people the impression that conservatives are narrow-minded and senseless, I'd write something like "The Savage Truth." I hope that in some of his other works, Savage explains himself a bit better.

Summary: Readable, seems kind of extreme
Review: Unlike some other conservative books, I got through this one. But, a lot of the ideas in this book seemed a kinda extreme to me. Lots of generalizations and stereotypes about liberals. I'm not sure how many people actually believe that all liberals are immoral baby killers and have mental disorders. If you look at Ch. 6 of Savage's book, printed on this review page, you can tell that if you're not a far right convservative, you might think Savage has a mental disorder.

Any good points Savage makes about excessive government are often overshadowed by his overwhelming paranoia about institutions such as education, medicine, government and especially the media. I'm open to the idea that the media has a liberal slant but I can't really say that many things they report are blatantly false. Savage, however, does say this. He even claims that child abuse in the Catholic church is less than that of the normal population. But he has little evidence of this. In my opinion, the problem with Savage's line of thinking is that it is too paranoid toward many institutions. He doesn't really trust institutions very much. He decries all of them as liberal. Thats pretty much why he can say all the statements he puts out.

Summary: Savage for President!!!!
Review: Finally!!!! Someone says it like it is! The Liberals are scared of Savage because he's not "politically correct"! If you like the truth and can handle it, this is book for you! Ignorant people think he's racist but those are the same people that don't think Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are!

Summary: One man's views on liberalism and the conservative movement.
Review: There is a lot of loose, angry talk in this book. There is also plenty of passing references to national origin. As a conservative to moderate Republican, I don't agree with the language, views, and attitudes of Savage. I can understand where he is coming from because of the liberal bias of the media and uneven playing field. Savage has some good points in these arguments, so that is why I rated it a 2 star than lower.
One reason I don't read books from conservative political commentators is for the reason of Savage's book. The book makes all liberals to be against this nation, which I don't think is the case (with the exception of Michael Moore). The struggle between conservatives and liberals is the reason this country is great. The nation is more balanced. If we all followed the tenents of Savage, then this nation would be a right wing dictatorship and very few immigrants would come to this country.
This book is thought provoking if the reader can get beyond the abusive language.
