Summary: Belief
Review: There seem to be two different types of reviews of all Necronomicon books. One is that it is faked, and the book was nothing more than a literary device of HP Lovecraft. The other is that it obviously isn't faked, and that anyone who has worked the ritual contained in the book(s) would know that it is the real McCoy (or is that the real McThulu).

My position is that the spark in any magical, mystical, religious, or (for that matter) political system is belief. If you believe that you are summoning these creatures and gods then you are, at least in the mind. Syncronicities will follow, and evidence will present itself to confirm the reality that has been selected.

The Necromonicon works as well as any Wiccian, Crowlean, or Satanic spell as long as the person working it beleives enough to throw themselves into it. I can also say the samething of prayer and faith healing.

Use it, but beware of the dark mist, the distant drums, and the shadows of tenticals outside your window when you are alone!
