Rating: Summary: Interesting historical information, but beware,! Review: This is a book, that could easily be dismisses as fake or fraud, however, the influence of the Sumerians exist to this very day in our transmitted supersticion. It is worth to remember, as C.W. Ceram points out, that the supersticious tales you been taught in the past about black cats, or walking under ladders date back to the Sumerians and have survived to this very day. If you don't believe this, read C. W. Ceram's Book "Gods,Graves and Scholars" to learn more about the scientific facts about the Chaldeans and Sumerians. This insignificant little book appears to be full of magical powers, but beware, they predate the Jewish religion, hence all prayers or ceremonies are directed at beings, that predate any other known religion, and hence are the original foundation of 'Western religion'. " Remember what the Bible states:[1 Moses 11-29] " and Tharam took... his son Abram... and led them out from [the city of] Ur in the land of the Chaldeans". Abram changed his name to Abraham, hence Abraham as one of the founder of the 'Christian Religion' brought his religious beliefs into the Jewish religion, which adopted part of the Sumerian belief system. Hence one can see a distinct relationship between what is written in the Bible about the 'war in heaven'and the [kabalistic?]assyrian text of the "Book of Enoch" [Made famous by Erich von Daniken] who used it, to support his thesis that "Enoch had actually experienced spaceflight". It is the only book of magic, that advises the reader to use a scientific approach to the words of the "Necronomicon Spellbook", something that should be done with everything, that one attempts in life. Try it, but beware of the warnings of Simon, that some of the spells even he would not attempt, because of the inherent danger. A book that is not for the fainthearted, hence it should, despite it's small size, not be taken lightly.
Rating: Summary: Simple use and sactisfatory results Review: This rituals are quite simple and the result is satisfactory. Personaly I have used a more direct technic to work with this forces. If the practicioner have the experience to do an evocation to one of the 50 names of Marduk, then perform it. Then, it will be a lot simpler to work with the forces mencioned there. Just one last comment, do not use the direct practices of the Necronomicon (the main Sumerian book from wich this one has been extracted) to summon this forces if you are not very well prepared to. Danger is real. To replly to this review, please e-mail me to varcan@hotmail.com
Rating: Summary: 3:00 A.M.! Review: When I bought this book I thought to myself, "Wow! now I can get all the girls at school to like me, I can be a millionair, anything! " But then I read the instructions(which are fairly simple to understand) I freaked out! It says to get up at 3 in the morning(because natural and spiritual distractions are at there lowest intensity), light two tall white candles, say a memorized two-page prayer to the sky, stare at a symbol, concentrate hard, and go back to bed. Personaly,I think it's kinda hoaky. It's a good book if your into the whole goat blood drinking pentagram thing. But if you just want to buy it for the fun, don't(it still looks good on a bookshelf!).
Rating: Summary: Give me a break Review: This stuff is all fake, Ive never seen such a piece of BS
Rating: Summary: Abominations Review: I really liked this book. I bought it when I was 15 and performed a couple of the spells. I was pleased with the results, to say the least. It's amazing what the powers of concentration and will can do if you open your mind and work hard to achieve your goals. I found the spells simple and easy to follow. Easy to pronounce too. Great for beginners in the black arts.
Rating: Summary: Curio Review: The Necronomicon would make a nice edition to the library of any student of magic and the occult. However, the Necronomicon's roots are more in fiction than any other grimoire I've perused, and as a reference work or textbook it is almost useless.
Rating: Summary: very good Review: A very good book. Concise and to the point. Try it! You wont be dissapointed if your a true enthusiast of the ancient art of magick. A warning though to those who are only "arm chair magicians" This book has the power to wreak havoc on you and your life so TAKE CARE. Otherwise This book dispells some of our carnal fears of utter destruction from forces unknown. The author lets you know that at least you will be working with nicer forces than what is illuded to in the bigger book. One thing, be wise in experimentation Do as the author commands he is not joking! I will say this that mixtures of diffrent types of lore command most interesting results. EXTREME power can be had by in depth workings especially those of an eclectic nature. However look in all directions for any possible problems These gods are old and i get the impression that they dont take any shinanigen from the "just curios". However to begin with go for the nicer guys, they will help you, but dont count on it for long i get the impression that you EARN what you get! Fair thee well fellow mages and GOOD LUCK!
Rating: Summary: NECRONIMICON IS KIK A** Review: Ok, first off, the necronomicon is very serios stuff that should be dealt with carefully. BUT DONT DISS IT. It is related with satanisim which is my religion of choice. thats all, thanx
Rating: Summary: Necronomicon Cheatbook Review: After reading many books on magick and practicing the arts for some time, I felt somewhat disappointed after reading the Necronomicon Spellbook. When I came across this book I hoped that it would pick up where the Necronomicon left off. It didn't. What it does do is give almost any reader with minimal knowledge of magick, a poorly written 'cheat book.' It claims that 'anyone,' with the help of this book, will be able to perform the rituals within this book with no 'danger.' It has been noted before, by many well known occultists, that 'playing' with ANY unknown magicks is a dangerous thing. All in all, if you own the Necronomicon you should pick this book up to compleate your collection.
