Review: I have read lots of Lisa Kleypas's books and have enjoyed all of them.. However Let me tell you.. this was one book i started and finished the same day.. absolutely fantastic! I totally agree with Kathleen E Woodiwiss.
i was taken by the first page (rare fined these days) and I felt like i was transported back in time and was watching Sara Fielding and Derek lives from the fence.. I laughed,I sympathised, i got frustrated and many many more emotions. More importantly though.. I fell in love with this enchanting story.. This story doesnt finish on a high.. it goes to the heavens.. Lisa Kleypas covered all the bases!
Youl have to read it to find out why.. Well done Lisa Kleypas this is one book thats staying on my shelf. You wrote one fine story.

Summary: Stop, Think & Feel
Review: My Gosh, the unlikely hero of Lisa Kleypas' Dreaming of You, Derek Craven was one of the most complicated, dark, interesting and sexy of characters! From his cockney accent to his subtly expressed self-hatred, I have never before read about another character like him! And Kleypas did not try to pass off weakness and dullness as innocence in the book's heroine, Sara Fielding. The emotion between the lovers was intense. The love scenes were deeply touching and erotic. And the interaction between the jaded Craven and the 'old maid,' Fielding was refreshingly natural and believable.
It is harder for me to analyze a book that I liked so much and found little if anything to fault. All I can say is that I was amazed that Kleypas' story continued to surprise me and keep me in suspense. The 'normal' set of events did not present themselves like clockwork, and so I found that from beginning to end I was never anticipating the characters' next moves or dialogue. This was a great feeling, because where so many authors (sadly) make readers like me feel presentient, I've stumbled upon an author with something new and special to offer.

Summary: My Favorite Romance of All Time
Review: Of the many, many romance novels I have read in my life, there are only a few that I will keep forever. You guessed it - this is one of them. I have never read a better, more believable, entertaining, more magical romance than this one. I have read it several times and it HAS ruined me for other romance novels. This is definitely a book of quality. I just wish there were more like it. Unfortunately, I believe that Derek Craven is one of a kind!

Summary: IN MY FIRST-TO-GRAB-BOOKS-IN-CASE-THERE'S-A-FIRE SHELF
Review: This is one of the best romantic novels I have read and certainly one of Kleypas's strongest. The story is pretty typical: a sweet, innocent country girl lost in the big city with no experience or understanding of where she is who meets a jaded, mysterious man who dances around the fringe of acceptable society. However, that aside, Kleypas manages to weave a completely unique and lovely story around the central characters that is touching and engaging. The story contains the right amount of romantic angst, is very steamy and yet remains real. Highly recommended!

Review: After reading all the glowing reviews, I found myself very disapointed in this book. There was little, if any, "romantic suspense". It was clear they were going to get together and, in fact (SPOILER ALERT), they get married about halfway through the book and then there is just a third party plot twist that failed to sustain my interest. I skimmed the second half of the book.A real disappointment.
