Review: This is the second "vampire" romance novel that I've read and I love it. The Carpathains have all the wonderful quailties of the vampires and none of the bad ones. Makhail's devotion to Raven is wonderful. This couple was in tune with one another on so many different levels. Feehan did a wonderful job capturing Makhail's love and devotion toward his lifemate and his clan. While she also captured the the pain and truma that Raven's life had been because of her special abilities. What I loved the most was the bonding vow that Makhail sated to Raven and the fact that her happiness and well being always came first. I can't wait to read the about the others. I'm hooked totally.

Review: Thanks to someones recommendation on this web site, I picked up this book. It was fantastic! The characters are richly drawn and the story is captivating. Reading this book led me to read every other book written by this author. None of them were a disappointment. They are all the type of story that you want to read from cover to cover. I look forward to more of her work.

Summary: The Book I've always dreamed of writing! A True Page Turner!
Review: Wow! This, by far, is the best Vampire Romance Book I have ever read! For years I have wanted to write a vampire romance novel like this, however, patience is not one of my strong points. :) Dark Prince; the first of the Dark Series grasps the reader instantly. From the first page, I found I was unable to put the book down. After reading Dark Prince, I went and ordered the rest of the books on the Dark Series. I truly hope that there will be more to follow! CHRISTINE FEEHAN's imagination is "captivating", to say the very least. She knows how to keep the reader's attention from the beginning to the end of her stories. There's just one thing that was a bit bothersome to me; and that was the continual use of the phrase, "white hot heat". Other than that, I think this is an EXCELLENT book and would receommend it to any and all lovers of seductive Vampire Romance Novels! Great work, Ms. Feehan. Summary: Absolutely Fabulous
Review: Mikhail makes Angel look like a boy scout!! I was orignally going to buy Dark Challenge but then saw this is a series and purchased Dark Prince the first in the series and I was rewarded with a fabulous and romantic read. Thank you Ms. Feehan. I highly reccommend this book to vampire readers and non vampire readers alike! I can't wait to read the other books.

Summary: Good enough to read another by Feehan
Review: I agree with most of what has already been said except I kept waiting for Raven to be stronger and get a clue, and by the end of the book I was tiring of reading about who was dinner. Too much talking "about" power and not enough immersing us "in" that power. But all in all this book is an interesting read and quite refreshing in presenting a new view vampires. I will be purchasing the next book in the series.

Summary: Impressive Twist on the Vampire Genre!
Review: This is the story of Mikhail, the Prince of the Carpathians, who has the weight of countless centuries on his shoulders. He is alone and cannot face the loneliness any longer. At his lowest point, when he is ready to face the dawn, out of the light comes Raven, a human woman of compassion, intelligence, and unique powers of her own. This is their story, the story of the first step towards the renewal of a dieing race. It is also the story of the power of the relationship a Carpathian creates with his lifemate. This is one of those few books that can actually keep your attention from start to finish (you know the kind I mean). I read this through in one sitting (staying up late when I had work the next morning and get up at 4:30am). This is definitely a keeper and one I would highly recommend to all those romance and paranormal readers out there.

Review: This is the first book I have read by Shannon Drake. The characters leap off the page at you and I find myself unable to wait to turn the page to see what happened next. I read this book in 1 1/2 days and I work full time.

Summary: Dark Prince is Fantastic!
Review: Greetings, everyone! I read this book virtually non-stop from start to finish. it was engaging from the very first word, right down to the ending. I love what she has done with the vampire genre, making it more accessible, and making the characters believable. I have also read the other books in the series, and cannot wait to read more of her writing -- I'm *really* hoping she continues this series beyond just the four books she's written so far. Right now, I have the latest book in the series in my book bag, and I started reading it this morning; I'm sure it will live up to my expectations. Ms. Feehan's novels are romance novels with vampires (called "Carpathians") as main characters. They are different, in that vampires (Carpathians), are a distinct race, with phenomenal abilities, that happen to need blood to survive. Vampires, on the other hand, are Carpathians that have turned to killing those they feed upon (the Carpathians *never* kill their prey), and have become evil, giving into the darkness. Vampires, in this series, are treated as criminals and are hunted and killed for the good of both Carpathians and humans. The entire series is very interesting, and well written, I believe, and if you like supernatural romances, I know you will enjoy all of them *very* much.

Review: Once I started to read DARK PRINCE,I couldnt put it down.When I had to,It was all I could think about.When was I going to read it next.I had to tell myself,when I read late at night,to put it down so I can sleep.But then the book always stayed in my mind. A book that you cannot get rid of in your mind,must be worth reading,at least twice.I am about to let a friend read it.She and I have shared books for about 2 to 3 years now.She has many good books,I think for once I have a better book then she could ever have. I wish to thank Ms./Mrs. Christine Feehan for this wonderful new look into the Vampire and human minds.I wish that one day I will get my chance to thank her in person {which may never happen,but I can dream cant I?} but if not then I wish she could read this. Ms./Mrs. Christine Feehan,your DARK PRINCE was the best book I have read about Vampire and the Vampire race. {I know,I kno,its not about vampires but there was a few in there} I have read many Vampire books,but yours was be far the best.I only hope that your other books will get even better. To those who have not read this book,I say find someone you know who has this-or even buy it yourself-and ask to read it.Then tell me if you think it is bad.To those that have read it,I can only hope we will get the chance to see Ms./Mrs. Feehan write many books,that will be as spell-binding as this one.
