Summary: For Every Black Eye by C.W. Hawthorne - My impression...
Review: Once I started reading the book I found I did not want to put it down. I wanted to get deeper into the plot and to see what the outcome would be. Domestic Violence is "what it is", and the writer makes you see it for "what it is" and why so many women (and men)can't or won't leave the abuser. It is a huge part of life and I think this story related to me exactly how I would feel and what I would want to do to the offender. Although extreme, and eye for an eye would be my way. But then again, as the book states "violence for violence?" It should be in any criminal situation that the criminal receives the same treatment he/she did to the victim. That is my opinion. But, not for the victim to carry it out. This is a good book and I recommend it highly.

Summary: C.F. HAWTHORNE'S "FOR EVERY BLACK EYE"
Review: Page one of "For Every Black Eye" grabs you and does not let go. Although you are the reader, observing the events from a distance, you feel as though it is all too real. It reminds you of someone you once knew in the same situation, but it gives you all the unimaginable inside details of that person's world as it comes crashing down.

I commend Ms. Hawthorne for the courage that it must have taken to write "For Every Black Eye," it is sure to be a Best Seller.

Summary: This Novel Should Definitely Be A Movie
Review: The brazen new writer C.F. Hawthorne is making her mark in the literary industry with her newly released novel "For Every Black Eye." C.F. Hawthorne tells a story which far too often is not told about the victims of domestic abuse. She shows the internal wounds and scars a victim of domestic abuse lives with even after the abuse has ended. The struggles of being able to love again, the low self-esteem, and the desire to seek revenge are shown in this potent read. But, she also shows through the power of prayer and strong friendships and counseling all scars and wounds can be healed. Even the victim of the most horrific domestic abuse situation can learn to love again and find someone who loves her just for her. You will see love hurts when it comes from a fist and it ain't true love, but it's that twisted love. Real love feels good and is not meant to hurt. So, wait no longer you definitely need to purchase and read "For Every Black Eye."

Summary: Great Read!!
Review: This book is a great read. It is a combination of reality and fiction. Cynthia, takes the reader through several emotions and with each page anticipation grows stronger. The turmoil between between right and wrong, the weak and strong, love and hate, courage and fear are battles that we all face. For Every Black Eye takes the reader through each one of those battles and in doing so draws the reader closer to Febe and Annie Marie Scott.

Summary: For every black eye
Review: This book stood out in the store. When I read the book I recommended to everyone I know that likes to read these books. This book was so good. I personally emailed Ms. Hawthorne and she gave me some very encouraging words and advice. Although the characters are not real. There is always a Febe out there somewhere. All I can say is read the book

Summary: Good Book
Review: This Book takes on domestic violence head on! The only reason why this book did not get five stars is because the author gave away too much on the back cover of the book! Good read for anyone that is in a situation of abuse and think that it is ok.

Summary: Love From The Fist
Review: This in your face story grabs you by the heart and takes you for a sometimes uncomfortable ride of abuse, degradation and revenge at the hands of loved ones. For Every Black Eye is for anyone whose loved one has been abused and anyone who is fed up.

From the first page you are drawn into the psychotic rage of Febe as she screams "Kill Him" to Annie. Febe is the childhood protector of Annie, who after 35 years is still fighting the battles Annie cannot. She is the dark side of us all. For 10 years Febe restrained herself as best she could. But now an unborn child is at risk, and she wants the monster and all like him DEAD.

CF Hawthorne blends a sick but realistic tale with a cast of believable characters you will get to know. I fell in love with Febe and her strength. Her wit and take no prisoners attitude kept me turning page after page. I have just a small concern; we really didn't get to know Annie, aside from the fact that she was shy and timid. On the other hand maybe this is a smooth tactic the author wanted. If so it leaves me asking myself: Do we ever see who the abused really is inside? Do we ever get to know the abused? I'm afraid not.

For Every Black Eye by CF Hawthorne is the best narrative of Domestic Violence I have ever read. Hopefully after you read it, the next time you come face to face with someone crying inside out you will know the sign and can reach out.

Review: This was the most interesting book. Women deal with abuse
everyday, you don't realize some of the horror stories
until you read For Every Black Eye.

Ms. Hawthorne, character has two personalities as a result
of an abusive relationship.

She tells a story of strength, healing, recovery anger and revenge. You want to cry one moment and in the next your
want to shout bravo.

You fall in love with all the characters, you begin to fight
for each one for various reason.

I especially like her knight in shinning armor, of whom the
character utterly fights to the very bitter end, he befriends
her and she refuses his friendship.

She shows through her characters the power of support, friendship and love.

This is the Christmas season and I highly suggest purchasing this book and donating it to any woman's abuse center or perhaps anyone you may know of that is in abusive relationship.

This is a must read book, you will not put this book down, you will want to cry, protect, pray or fight, this book is very
realist, though it is a book of fiction. Don't miss out on
this authors outstanding work.

Bravo, Bravo and More Barvo's
