Rating: Summary: Very Very Funny Review: This is the fist SEP book that I have read, and from the 1st page I was hooked by the characters. Not only is the story romantic and interesting, but I actually found myself laughing out loud on numerous occaisions. I would highly recommend the book to anyone who likes humor with their romance - but then, who doesn't?
Rating: Summary: Classic SEP laugh out loud funny! Review: This is another book that proves why I love SEP!When Fransesca asks Kenny to escort Lady Emma around Texas to get him back in the golf tour, Kenny doesn't realize what he's getting into. British Lady Emma is a handful! Determined to ruin her lily white reputation in order to get out of an unwanted engagement, Lady Emma finds Kenny the perfect target. All the while Kenny is trying to "save" his reputation from some nasty rumors that have been recently flying. Lady be Good is another SEP original. The characters are funny, have great personalities and are easy to like. I especially liked the side story between Kenny's sister Torie and Dexter. Susan Elizabeth Phillips proves once again the she is a star in the romance world!
Rating: Summary: Laugh Out Loud! Review: This was my first SEP book -- and I was immediately inspired to track down all the others and read them as well. This book was wonderful. The whole business with Kenny giving Lady Emma a tatoo was one of the funniest things I have ever read in a romance novel. Please keep writing SEP!
Rating: Summary: Smart, Funny, Sexy and Romantic Review: Susan Elizabeth Phillips has really written an excellent contemporary romance. She had me laughing at wise guy, Kenny's antics and Emma's naivetivity. When I wasn't laughing, I was mezmerized by the sexual tension and repartee. Throw in the Duke and Kenny's family and B-I-N-G-O! You have a winner. Hope to see Susan's books in hardcover soon; she certainly has the talent. Susan's writing is on a par with Olivia Goldsmith "First Wives Club" and "Switcheroo". Enjoyed myself immensely.
Rating: Summary: I loved it Review: I love a good smart alec and Kenny is definatly one of the best. His sense of humor made me laugh out loud. Lady Emma definately had a style all her own. I throughly enjoyed this book, couldn't put it down.
Rating: Summary: A GOOD BOOK Review: I read the bookk and at times found it confusing, but for the most part entertainig. The characters were beleviable, and their situations entertaining. If you want to read a book that goes straight to your heart, read Stolen Moments by Barbara Jeanne Fisher. . .It is a beautiful story of unrequited love. . .for certain the love story of the nineties. I intended to give the book a quick read, but I got so caught up in the story that I couldn't put the book down. From the very beginning, I was fully caught up in the heart-wrenching account of Julie Hunter's battle with lupus and her growing love for Don Lipton. This love, in the face of Julie's impending death, makes for a story that covers the range of human emotions. The touches of humor are great, too, they add some nice contrast and lighten things a bit when emotions are running high. I've never read a book more deserving of being published. It has rare depth. Julie's story will remind your readers that life and love are precious and not to be taken for granted. It has had an impact on me, and for that I'm grateful. Stolen Moments is written with so much sensitivity that it made me want to cry. It is a spellbinder. What terrific writing. Barbara does have an exceptional gift! This book was edited by Lupus specialist Dr. Matt Morrow too, and has the latest information on that disease. ..A perfect gift for someone who started college late in life, fell in love too late in life, is living with any illness, or trying to understand a loved one who is. . .A Christmas gift to be cherished forever.
Rating: Summary: Sorry, Ms Phillips, this book of yours is not worth buying! Review: This is a little better than Honey Moon but based on the various SEP books I have read so far, the interesting ones are Nobody Baby's but Mine, Kiss an Angel, and Nobody but You. Other than that, Miss SEP is giving too much psychological hangup for her characters... Please stop playing shrink and do not print another book unless it is your best!
Rating: Summary: Lady Be Good is a sweet and hilarious book! Review: I absolutely loved this book! Kenny and "Lady" Emma were perfect for each other, and I loved reading their conversations. A must read.
Rating: Summary: Funny, Funny, Funny, Touching & Romantic Review: Lady Be Good was a very funny and informative book. Kenny's character as a pro golfer on suspension that was a very clever idea. His attitude towards the english head mistress was very entertaining. The rival going on between them was outstanding! I loved this book because of the originality and the spirit of all the characters. If you ever read any SEP's books than you know already know how talented and creative she can be. Be prepare to add her name to the other bestsellers you know. Guaranteed to enjoy again and again.
