Summary: I hate you, Lorgin ta'al Krue.
Review: I didn't find this book the least bit romantic, which is unfortunate, because the sci-fi elements are very weak and unoriginal. The "hero," Lorgin, is an unlikeable, overbearing jerk with no respect for the "heroine," Deanna (rightfully, I suppose, because she's none too bright). I like cheesey sci-fi ("Earth Girls are Easy" used to be one of my favorite movies), and I can stomach a lot of unlikely actions in the name of some laughs - but there were almost none to be had, here. The vast majority of the humor wasn't funny at all, and the parts that were, were brief and infrequent. I did not enjoy this book.

Summary: It grows on you
Review: When I first started reading this book I did some pretty heavy eye rolling. Some of the characters' lines and personalities are sooooo cliche. But, it had one redeeming quality... It was hysterically funny. The actions and responses of the heroine, Deana, had me laughing till I actually cried. So, I kept reading. Before I knew it I was into the 2nd half of the book and it really actually started to get pretty good. Albeit fantastic and unbelievable on the scifi side, it was holding my interest. By the end I was rooting for the couple and smiled as I read the last page.

This is not a book I would typically read but overall, it wasn't bad. It is definately not a book I would re-read. If you want a believable scifi plot or romance, this isn't one. The hero is the typical super macho type that won't take no for an answer. The heroine is more believable given the circumstances although she is more accepting than I would ever be. The mystic is engaging but you don't get to see him as much.

Summary: really really horrible
Review: While this book did possess a few good parts, my 2 star rating is pushed. In the beginning, Deanna, the "damsel in distress" is fired from her job among other things. when she gets home, there's a guy with weird eyes sitting on her couch. thinking her friend is playing a joke on her she asks who he is. And at first he has no idea what she is saying but finally can tell her his name after he gets her to shut her yap for a bit...(drumroll) Lorgin ta'al Krue. then within about one page, she gives the impression that she has excepted the fact that he is an alien, no fainting either. Later he "marries" her, and then she has no clues that she's his wife until they are well into the "journey". Meanwhile he's been calling her wife in his own language.
As for the characters, the only one that i actually thought was developed was Lorgin's "teacher". it seemed to me that Lorgin what a bit of an idiot, and Deanna was way to amiable.
In other words, if you want characters with mind powes and all that, try Anne McCaffery or Anne Bishop.

Summary: Great Title For A Great Book
Review: In "Knight of a Trillion Stars" Dara Joy starts writing about characters and places that become memorable for those who read the Matrix of Destiny series. Though there are other great writers of futuristic romance, this series is the best I've read. I'm anxiously awaiting Traed's story.

Lorgin ta'al Krue is a gorgeous alien who comes to take the heroine, Deanna Jones (I didn't like the Adeeann business to make it sounds like Indiana) to another dimension where the laws of magic rules. You have to go into reading this suspending belief in reality as we know it, that is the name of the game! If you don't like stories like that, you won't like this story.

There are great scenes contrasting culture between Deanna and Lorgin's worlds that make the book humorous. There is progression and recurring plot elements as good fiction should have. It's full of sizzling love scenes, and is a great stand alone love story. I read some of the not so favorable reviews and wondered if we'd read the same book. Deanna chooses Lorgin, but he is definitely alpha male and dominant.

Summary: Dara joy, Please write More!!!!
Review: This book is a must read for any romance lover especially one who loves fantasy too. This book is sexy and Hot, Hot ,Hot! The main character, Lorgan is to die for. If he has any flaws I can't see them. There is a lot of humor and interesting action in the book too. She also introduces some other characters that appear in her novels Rejar and Mine to Take. I wish that Dara Joy would write more books in this series and her High Energy series. These are all books that you will read again and again. Her latest novel Ritual of Proof was a real dissapointment and I hope she goes back to the style of romance that I enjoy so much.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Steamy romance, but weak plot
Review: This is my first Dara Joy book. I bought it based on the reviews here. While I've read much better romance novels, overall the book was good. I liked the author's writing style, the humor she infuses throughout the novel, and the steamy romance scenes. However, I wasn't too crazy about the plot--that was pretty weak since she didn't do too much to make it exciting, and the romance between the two characters didn't have the typical "intensity" found in other romance novels I've read. In other words, while they were both likeable characters, the sparks weren't flying (out of the bedroom) that helps build the romantic plot. (I usually read historical romance novels.) But, if you're interested in a light read, the book might be just what you're looking for. I give it a 3.5.

Summary: One of the best books ever written!
Review: This is one of my favorite books. I read this book a few years ago, and I just wanted to write This review and tell everybody how good this book was! This was my first futuristic book and it certainly wasn't my last. Word of caution though: when you sit down to read this book make sure you have a lot of time for you wont be able to put this book down, and a fan handy for the sex scenes are that hot and spicey!!!
